(Actually, it was aimed at your chest.)

(Well, if I've learned one thing, it would be to never jump that high without my sword.) (But now is the time where I must ask questions! The scythe, how big is it? Does it have a handle or is it just connected by chains? Is the very point of the scythe coming toward me, or is it the blade? Is the scythe bladed on both sides? And what is the scythe and its chains made out of?) (I think that's all I have for now.)

(The scythe is a one-handed model, not a full-sized reaper scythe. It has a short handle, but is also connected by chains. The exterior blade of the scythe is coming at you, and yes, it is bladed on both sides as well as having a sharp point on the tip. the scythe and chains are made of magical energy. They are dark weapons, but they are not made of darkness, so they can still hurt you just as easily and you can't absorb them.)

(Dakura doesn't absorb dark energy, he's just not as effected by it. So then, how about-)
Dakura (running out of ideas) tries to maneuver a kick around the scythes blade to attempt to knock down the handle to send the scythe flying to the ground.
(.....It's worth a shot)

(Eh, that'll work.)
The Shadow Ranger drew the scythe back in as he began spinning it again. "What's wrong, Molly?" he mocked. "I thought you were supposed to be a challenge. All I see you doing is running."

Dakura safely made his landing. "Well, your half right" Dakura claimed, "All I've been doing is studying you, to see what kind of skills you have, and I see that you are ,indeed, skilled." Dakura sunk into the shadows, but only his hand came up, just to grab his sword.

"I could have told you that," the ranger answered simply.

Dakura grabbed his sword and came back in the spot he landed, "Heh, then why didn't you?" He said as he readied another dark ball.

"I did," the Shadow Ranger reminded him. "Are you gonna do something or are you just gonna stand there and prove you're as stupid as you are weak?"

"*sigh* so naive... you never said that, you said I was 'only running' and you also said that you 'could have said that' not 'I did say that', and if I'm so weak, why didn't you take me down yet?" babbled Dakura as his dark ball was growing, also aiming it at the ranger ready to launch it.

"I've been saying it all along," the Shadow Ranger answered as he continued to twirl his scythe. "And the only reason you aren't black and blue yet is because you've been running like a pathetic little coward. I thought you were gonna fight me, not spend the whole time running away from me."

"Heh, what? Can't catch me? Hehehe, well if you can't hit me then I guess you can't beat me either, but I don't think I'll be dodging your attacks as much, because now I'll be giving you less chances." He continued to chuckle as he launched the dark ball, about 15 ft wide, at the ranger, which he sunk into the shadows right afterward.

(What's it do? Be sure to always describe potential effects. If this, then this.)
