( Discussed in well... Discussion.. Low Powered. )
It is the year 2011 and the fall of Umbrella has been over eight years now. All seemed well in the beautiful America's, and people were glad that the incidents of the Mansion, Racoon City, and other incidents all resulting in Ominous Cults and the most powerful Coperation ever to be formed.. Umbrella, inc.
The man that was dressed in the white lab coat slowly sighed. "How am I going to do this.. splicing this gene isn't going to work, you know.." he said, turning his spectacled eyes to another man that was working in a hazmat suit in another room that had vials of green, blue and red liquids in tubes that looked like a double helix of sorts. A responce on the other side of the glass came. "Don't worry Bettican. I can't be touched with this suit on, besides, there are priorities to be taken if this does happen." he moved over and bumbped into one of the tables in which one of the red vials were in, and he chuckled slightly after but gave a soft sigh of relief.
Alarms suddenly went off and both of the scientists inhaled with an 'ohshit' on their tongues. The one that was not in the room sprinted to one of the nodes that was on the far wall and smacked it. The readings came from the stasis room, and recorded that it was infected with all three viral strains due to an airborn substance. The man almost screamed out of his skin and turned the intercom active to the other room. "YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF THERE TYFUS!" he screamed. All too late however, as the man in the room was on the ground convulsing violently. A long and barbed organic string moved out and infront of the scientist and wrapped around his neck, and sliced his head from his body almost instantly.
The man in the room quickly got back up and was breathing heavily. His hazmat suit was damaged and was venting his oxygen into the room. "No... this is impossible."
The man started to bash on the window and screaming in the suit. Tearing was the next to happen, but not salty, water tears, but tears of anger and blood. It seemed that this person.. or thing was mutating from the inside out. Only a matter of hours would occure.
Seventeen Hours had passed since then..
Special Tactics and Elimination Soldiers were sent in the quill this incurrsion, but to no possible conclusion, they were dead by this scientist named Tyfus Astil had destroyed the whole squads, and thus unleashed the formidable T-Virus.. yet.. The V-Virus had been released aswell, in an airborn form. Something that would bring New york to it's knee's..
This is where the story begins..
[ Alight, that is a brief explanation of how the T- Virus was released. Your characters may been just entering the city from some sort of activity that made them leave the city for a while and just coming back. If you can PM me the characters you wish to use, that would be great. Have fun, and let your nightmares someday destroy you. ]

(Is the city already down or has the virus not yet taken hold?)

( I would advise that you not be in the city when the Outbreak happens, or you would share the same fate. After the time pass it would be awsome if your characters would enter the city then. )

It was some time later when the young man set foot upon the city's soil, and when he did so, he cringed. Certainly, he had been seeing the burning skyline, and before that, the reddish-orange hue that it gave the horizon, for quite a while. A whole state back, in fact. But there was a foulness in the air and in the earth, as if the very land, itself, was diseased.
He wanted to put his hand to it, he wanted to pour his soul into it, but he knew how little good it would do in his mortal state, and he would no doubt need it for far more pressing matters, anyway. The Others could handle that better, anyway. Even though the cruel Injustice done by Man against it burned through him, Nature was not his domain, and thus was not his to set right. No, he had another role to play here, a role reminded to him by the weight of the combat armor he wore and the guns and ammunition that were holstered over it.
He was here to do his own type of cleansing, one the Others could not tend to. He was here to exact Justice from what inhumanity was left in the dead city and do what he could to ensure it spread no further.

(Keep in mind she can read signs and numbers.)
“Right here...” The taxi eased to a stop as the girl instructed, and turned into the driveway. There was a pause, then the sound of a door slamming and feet shuffling around to the driver side of the vehicle. The girl flipped open her wallet, dug out the amount she needed, passed it to the gentleman, then circled the car to retrieve her bags. Once everything was removed she gave the roof of the car a hard pat, instructing it was safe to go and started up the driveway without a second glance.
The air around her held a sickening stench, in fact, the moment she had gotten out of the taxi she had pulled the collar of her shirt up over her face to help block out the smell. Her stomach churned as she opened the door and stepped inside her house, the same foul stench was here too. She quickly felt her way over to the first window she could find and threw it open, there was no way to escape it. She moved into the kitchen, one hand over her mouth and nose, the other cradling her stomach. “Mom, Dad? Autumn, Kerstein? Anybody?” She paused in the doorway, gagging. “Jesus you guys, what is going on in here?” The floor above her creaked. “Ah.” A small smile stretched over her lips as she felt her way through the hallway and started up the stairs. “That‘s where you all must be.”
(Feels like a cliche horror scene. I’ll post the gory stuff tomorrow.)

* City of New York *
The air had been stained for seventeen hours, while the T and V viruses corrupted the minds and bodies of the glorious city. Moans of people once in this city could be heard in the distance, barks of dogs that hungered for flesh also.
It was time he had made his appearance, he thought to himself. "Those idiots down in the labs made a mistake.. a costly mistake." he said to the man that stood behind him that was wearing complete black, and wearing sunglasses. The pilot simply chuckled to his own words, knowing well what his contact would say.
"Oh, I'm fully aware of the situation. It's a waste of product, if you ask me, though. Those people didn't deserve this, but it seemed that there was an unseen agenda. If you ask me? Umbrella is behind it. Since their disband, I can foresee their rise." the man turned his head to look down to the bare city below him.
The chopper pulled foreward and toward the lone man that was walking toward the city, and seemed fully armed and ready for what was inside. The helicopter pulled infront of him, and turned on it's side, hovering infront of him. "Sir! I advise you to stay away from this city. A deadly toxin has been released and is now infecting the city. It must be cleansed." said the pilot over an intercom, which amplified ten times to the outside over the rotors of the aircraft.
The man in the cabin slowly moved out to look at the man. sunglasses seemed to reflect the light from the interior of the chopper. He moved back inside and seemed to talk with the pilot; and finally the chopper started to descend and landed on the uneven ground, rotors still turning the blades. The man in the back turned his head again, and beckoned the man with all the ammo and guns to the chopper.

The young man, looking around college age, approached the helicopter as bidden, but only to turn them down. He raised his voice to make himself heard over the rotor. "I am aware it needs to be cleansed! That's why I'm here!"

* Chopper *
The pilot turned his head around to look at the man. "Hey, i'll get you and Virgil into the city, then i'll pull out and wait for contact and i'll come and pick you guys up and we'll get out of here. I'll let Virgil explain. Mean while, get in, and we'll get you to the Zone for infiltration."
The man, who was now named Virgil lazily turned his head to look at the man. "This is serious, and we could use all the help we can get. You see.. this toxin is very.. interesting. What it does is horrible, yet there may be some survivors, and we need to search for some. Understand?" he asked, turning to let his gaze leer on the man. If that man turned to look at him, he would easily see his own reflection in the glasses.

"Yeah, I understand," he agreed as he climbed in. "Better than you might think." He unstrapped the XR8 from his back so he could properly sit in the seat before offering Virgil his hand. "The name's Michael."

* Chooper *
Virgil nodded slowly. "Wise choice. When we land, prepare yourself for the worst. We don't know what's going on in there, but satalite imagry shows some.. gruesome stuff."
The pilot then jerked the control stick, and the chopper lifted into the air once more, and continued on it's course to the Major City. "Virgil, if you would look to your left, that's what is going to be your primary escape route if this fails. It's a tunnel that procedes underground to a facility that will have your way out. So you know." he then turned his head to the side it seemed. "Your first objective will be to get to the hospital and check for survivors there." The chopper then jerked hard. "Second objective will be to seal the city off from the inside, to prevent infection to pass over. The chopper then jerked again, but in the opposite direction. "Third Objective will be to find Tyfus Astil, and bring him back if possible. He's vital." The choppers emergency lights began to flash rapidly, followed by warning sounds. "I figured this would happen. It seemd the S.T.A.E.S have activated a jamming device to pull all electronics offline. Your weapons won't be affected though.. i'l have to put it down."
The chopper then began to descend into the city, but the tail rotor caught against a building side and sunk even faster. Virgil braced and raised his hands to grab a handle that was on the side of the craft. "Better grab on to something Michael." he said ever so casually.

Michael nodded as he gripped the seat, making sure the strap on the XR8 was in place so he wouldn't lose it.

* Chopper *
The chopper began to whirl sideways, but then turned and did three full 360 degree turns before it slammed into the ground pretty hard. The pilot was thrown out the front of the craft, and straight into a slab of the crinkled metal that was ripped off the craft itself. A crimson liquid had started to pool around him within thirty seconds.
Virgil had still been in the same spot when the craft went down, and as it landed, he placed both feet infront of hismelf, and pushed his abck against the seat he was in, and as everythign settled, he looke dup. "That was to be expected, actually." he mumbled to hismelf. He looked up. "Yo, buddy. You still alive?" he asked, trying to find the man who was previously there with the machine gun.
* Distance *
There was shuffle in the large office building on the 45th floor. Heavy breathing and perspiration dripped down his face. "What is that thing..?" he mumbled. Modified SMG was gripped tightly in his hands. "Why won't it die..?" he asked to himself once more. Body leaned out to give a soft glance out to the middle of the floor, cubicals covering his position for now.
The creature out in the middle of the floor was bent over a body head seemingly inside it's victims torso. Flesh being ripped from the body and taking into the creatures gullet, while blood was being pulled from the carcus and devoured. Halfway between the stomach and liver was the creatures bites located for now. Squishing sounds were the only thing to be heard, from the feeding of this creature on the body of a S.T.A.E.S. Other ominous moaning from the residence of this grande city could heard in the distance aswell, but ti was being submerged by the constant squishing sounds of this creature feeding.
"Ken.." the special trained cop said to hismelf. Head jerked to the side to witness another creature limping to the carcus, moaning in it's throat. When it reached the body, it fell over to it's knee's and joined the other in feeding on the open body. "I have to get out fo here.." he mumbled. Smag was gripped tighter, and he launched himself to the elevator, but as he didm and the huge metal door opened, there was something..

(Don't you mean S.T.A.R.S.?)
*Chopper*
"I'm fine," the young man answered as he stood. He had taken the opposite approach, going lax to avoid the muscle strain of the crash, hooking his feet around under his seat to keep from jarring around and getting knocked about. He undid his belt and got to his feet, climbing out of the remains of the helicopter. "Seems to me we really need to find a way to shut down that jammer," he commented as he moved over to check the pilot. "If it jams everything, our exit may be similarly difficult."

Sky quietly made her way up the stairs, counting each step to herself until she had reached the top. “You guys?” She crept around the first corner heading toward her parents room.
The door to their room hung open by a single latch, the top had been torn lose, and finger prints were smeared across the wood. The carpet was stained with thick patches of what looked like paint, the same as the walls around her. A chunk of a hand laid in the opening of the doorway, along with fragments of clothing. There seemed to be something hunched over in the corner closest to her, it’s movement suddenly caught her eye.
“Mom, Dad?” She moved toward the figure, bracing herself against the wall. The creature suddenly turned to face her as if her voice had startled it, and for a long moment she simply stared down at the being. Suddenly a gasp ripped itself from her chest, and she stumbled backward into the floor. “...No, no. It can’t be---dad?”
The being which had been her father was now reduced to a mindless carcass. The sleeve on his shirt had been torn off, revealing a bony, handless limb. His face was shriveled, the bones in his cheeks protruding through the skin. The right portion of his face was so distorted that the skin simply sagged as if it had melted, and his jaw hung open and slightly off centered.
His eyes locked on her, she suddenly couldn’t find the urge to move. He began to crawl forward, she could smell the blood on him and the foul rotting stench of his skin. Finally squirming backward, she threw her arm out to brace herself against the wall. He launched for her arm, sinking his teeth into her wrist. Giving a frightened squeal she threw her knee up, knocking him loose, and stumbled from the room.
Everything from there seemed to be a blur. Her mind was buzzing, she barely realized she had run from her house until she was standing outside on the sidewalk of the city. Looking down at her shirt, now damp and stained with blood, she shuddered. It looked like the only place to head now as the hospital.
(Gory enough Enigma?)
