Timeline: Medieval Power Level: Mid-Tier Medium limit This is an RP based on the storyline of Soul Calibur 3, it was discussed in this thread a long time ago. Well, it's high time I started it up. There are a few major rules for this RP, detailed in the discussion post. I will also elaborate some more here. Now, this is a fairly large world to work with, being early 1600s and all. But, I am going to have to restrict some of the places RPers can go. They are the Americas, most of Africa (Except the northermost regions), Australa, Antarctica, and the Arctic. Also, try to be reasonable in your posts, try not to have your character in the middle of nowhere. Now, Soul Edge. No one is going to know absolutely everything about it. No one is going to immediately understand it's malevolent nature and such. And don't get me started on Soul Calibur, it's even rarer than its dark equivalent. ------------ Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords eternally retold. Soul Edge, the Sword of Salvation, the Sword of Heroes, the ultimate weapon. Men from all walks of life seek out the awesome power that this legendary weapon. What few men know is of the malevolent and brutal nature of the weapon, which has a mind and will of its own. For years the tale of this evil tool has been written in the blood of thousands. In search of a way to avenge his murdered father, a German brigand named Siegfried sought out this blade, and was sucessful in acuiring it. However, Soul Edge poisoned his mind, soon dominating his free will and becoming what Europe would begin to refer to fearfully as "the Azure Knight". The Azure Knight rampaged across Europe, slaughtering all in its path. It was only until a Chinese girl named Chai Xianghua battled the sword that the nightmare ended.... temporarily. Eventually, The Azure Knight returned, and attempted to raise back into considerable power. However, during a duel, the eye of Soul Edge was pierced, and Siegfried was freed from his enslavement, This tale carries on from there.

*Just outside a small village in Korea*
Kira walked slowly along a weather beaten path, the occasional ox driven carte passing by. The people on board squinting their eyes to get a better look at Kira under his cloak. Despite the warm weather Kira felt is the right thing to do the less people saw the better or at lest that's what he thought. Kira made note of a slight wind moving from the south, all in all it was a nice sunny summer day. Working on tips from locals a few clicks back Kira had heard of some usual characters in the small village come up fast, he had hoped that perhaps in the 3 days since seeing Vincent that perhaps his reputation had been passed on a little. Kira walked to the out side of the Village and then strolled casually into the settlement. Most of the people stared but not in an unrelenting way, it was more out of plain curiosity of a stranger. He walked to what he thought was the social center of the Village, it was his hope that if anything Vincent would be there. Kira arrived in the area of the square but there was no sign of Vincent, and at this point in time picking out a Westerner would not be hard, especially here.
So much for the gate working this time...Damn it were could Vincent be?
Kira's mind raced for a moment with ideas of what might of happened or what was going to happen, however Kira had a strong feeling that where ever Vincent was he was at lest OK for now.
(Vincent's post is on the way however I am required to wait on GB for plot reasons that have already been worked out between our two parties)

*Southern Europe*
The armored form of the young man stalked through the red-hot flames, his armor reflecting the heat and glowing as if it were made of the flames, themselves, the light glinting off of the massive sword in his hands. "Surrender yourself to the authorities, and this doesn't have to go any further," he demanded of the two-dozen bandits who had just set the gunpowder storage aflame in an attempt to rid themselves of this strange knight.
Whatever their answer, they couldn't seem to get it out as they stared, many staggering back as the young man, who they had so drastically underestimated because he looked no more than 16, continued to walk forward. But the leader gathered his courage and stepped forward, as well. "We're the Shadow Walker Gang! Who do you think you are, thinking you can stop us?"
"Maxwell Fueller," the boy answered. "Fire Guardian of Battleon."
But the leader scoffed. "Ha! Never heard of you!"
But the young knight was undeterred. "Well, now you have." And he raised his free hand as red energy gathered into it. "Fireball Z!" In rapid-fire, balls of flame launched from the palm of his hand and peppered the entire area.

*Old Toledo, Spain*
Two men of Middle Eastern decent walked through the streets of the Spanish city. One of them, a man that looked like he was in his fifties, wore clothing that was appropriate to his appearant orgin and the timeline, the other was a boy that was around fifteen, and from the looks of it, he was related to the older man. The only thing he wore that was even remotely close to the time around him was his beige turban, which was just like the other man's. Otherwise, he wore what seemed to be a mix between modern forest camoflague and light pieces of medieval armour. Both men had swords at their sides and walked with confidence.
The younger looked at the older. "Dad, do you have any idea where we are?" He asked, looking around.
The older man nodded. "Yes, it seems we're in Spain. Old Toledo, if I'm correct. But, we seem to be in a different reality." He said simply.
The man's son raised an eyebrow. "What? How do you know that?"
The father pointed to a large, blue-roofed building. "That place... it always had a red roof." He said, agin, keeping his words plain, not paying much attention to their situation. He looked around. "Let's in here." He said, pointing to what was clearly a inn. "Never kow, we may find someone that can help us get more details."
*Korean Village*
Suddnly, the sound of heavy fighting could be heard in Kira's ears. Somewhere nearby, there was some sort of fight.
*Southern Europe*
There was the sound of heavy sighing after the bandits were destroyed, followed with a growing reading of dark, sinister energy. A man wearing a dark cloak and black armour walked up to the scene of the fight, the uneasy aura emanating from him. He paid no mind to Maxwell, instead he walked to the remains of the bandits, taking out a dangerous looking serrated sword. He kneeled over, inspecting and searching the bodies.

*Korean Village* Kira's head turned quickly to the sound of the fighting, his face now taking on a stern look. He rushed out of the Village square unfortunately losing his clock in the process, however Kira did not notice. As he was to focused on the sounds he was hearing. Kira rounded a street and then passed several huts of varying design. To arrive where he thought the sounds where coming, he skidded around the conner as dust shot up into the air. He waited for the dust to clear to to what was happening.
*Old Toledo, Inn*
Vincent leaned against a wall to the left of the entrance way to the Inn with the check in counter behind him. He shifted himself and removed a small brown package from him pocket, then he returned it from where it came. Looking out at the entrance way Vincent had a lost look in his eyes, like some had not arrived as they should have.
"Things never go to plan when it comes to that gate." He whispered to him self under his breath
Vincent hunched himself up and walked to the over end of the old and some what decaying lobby of the inn. Eventually some paintings on the wall caught his eye. He did not know what was on these paintings but it made him feel uncomfortable.

*Korean Village*
When the dust settled, a young man could be seen fighting off about four others. The one man wore elaborate clothing when compared to the others, and was using a seemingly decorative sword as well as excellent footwork to hold of his attackers, who were extremely shabbily dressed in comparison. The man had just rolled over one of the others, who was keeled over, ending his trip with a slash at his back. He then grabbed another and kicked him in the face, not once, not twice, but several times repeatedly, eventually bringing a rising kick up and sending the bandit flying upwards in an amazing display of strength. That left two enemies remaining.
*Old Toledo, Inn*
The paintings showed scenes of mass slaughter, most times the main focus was on a large knight in dark armour. Every single picture seemed to have the knight with a different weapon, but it was always a giant, grotesque, bizzarely shaped sword. Multiple pictures also had the knight with a large, deformed right arm with an almost demonic appearance.

Maxwell raised his blade to point at the man's back from across the distance, a seemingly meaningless gesture, except light began to gather along the length of the blade. "They may have been bandits, but I won't see their bodies looted by more thieves, and those that are alive will be turned into the authorities. Take your dark essence and leave them to their peace."

(GB is allowing this auto)
Kira stepped in behind one of the men and grabbed him by the back of his neck and lifted his person off the ground, Kira waited a brief second before releasing him from his arms and into a wall that was a few meters away. Kira looked at the other man and gave him a glare, this seemed to give him the hint and the last enemy scampered away.
"Are you alright?" Kira asked in his normal quiet voice to the elaborately dressed man "Are you hurt? Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you."
(GB I'm just waiting for your guys to go into the Inn in Spain)

The man stood up his face still hidden by his hood. He took his sword and brought it out. "I don't expect a child like you to understand what I'm here for." He brought the sword in front of him. "I have an obligation to someone important to me that I must uphold."
*Korean Village*
The man almost cringed back at Kira's size, but he calmed down and stared up at him. "I am fine, I thank you for the help."
*Old Toledo, Inn*
The younger man walked up behind Vincent, staring at the pictures. "Wow, that is nasty. What kind of guy decorates like this?" He asked to no one in particular.

"Then why don't you try explaining it to me?" the knight asked. "You might be surprised what I can understand. Of course, if it involves murdering, I'm afraid it won't matter what your reasoning is. That's never the right way to deal with a problem."

Kira looked at one of the enemies on the ground he held his hand out and pointed at them "Who and why?"
*Old Toledo, Inn*
"Yeah it's...well it's...." Vincent felt himself unable to muster the word he was looking for, instead his tone seemed to beckon the young man to say something more on the paintings.

The man shook his head. "I'm collecting on a debt the world owes me, one body at a time. I don't care whether you think it's right or wrong. Your opinion is invalid."
*Korean Village*
The man looked down at his attackers. "Over eager bandits, drunks perhaps, feeling they could handle the skills of a member of the Coast Gaurd. Maybe get a nice ransom off my head."
*Old Toledo, Inn*
The boy shrugged. "Sure don't have stuff like that where I come from..."

"There are right ways and wrong ways to collect on debts," Maxwell answered, the light shimmering down the length of the blade with increasing speed. "Killing people out of vengeance for something they had nothing to do with is a wrong way. Last warning, step away from them."

Kira's face relaxed a little as the man explained "May I ask what you then? For instance who's your leader?"
Kira stepped back a little and leaned on his left side a little as he waited for an answer.
*Old Toledo, Inn*
Vincent nodded "Same here, well its like this but not like this, like this. If you know what I mean."

*Southern Europe*
The man snickered darkly. "You're all the same. Foolish believers. Defend those that cannot defend themselves, vanquish those that seek harm on others, no creature is deserving of death." He said coldly, as if knowing those words by heart. "That sounds like the true path at first, but that path becomes lethal near the end. Are you still willing to walk it? Are you willing to sacrifice everything you know and love for your charges, your comrades, your rulers, your "gods" and their self serving lies?" The man looked back at Maxwell, taking off his hood to let his unkempt hair and pale skin feel the air. He placed an armoured hand on the hilt of his sword. "What say you, if we try and find out.. hm?" He asked with the same condensending, harsh tone, the side of his mouth curling up into a small sneer.
*Korean Village*
"My name is Hwang." The man said. "I am a student of the Seong fighting dojo, led by a man named Han Seong Myong. I'm a member of the Coast Gaurd. And your name is?"
*Old Toledo, Inn*
The boy looked at Vincent. "Vaguely." He said. "So, where are you from?" The boy smiled. "Or would I be smarter to ask when you are from?"
