:::Aza:::
Ain sidesteped to the left almost at the last moment and with great speed. She batted his blade to the right with the side of her own and not waiting to see what the blades might do when they reacted, she began to spin to the right bringing her blade up as Matthew would be passing her and it would bear across his back. One revolutuon would take her less than a second to complete with her speed.

But Maxwell's own attack was rotating, and Ain's blade struck that strange, invisible shield while his own sword was coming about to stab toward her middle.

"No, I am sorry," Rina apologized. "Besides the horizon, I do not know the difference. Is it your destination?"

:::Aza:::
Ain's sword bonced off and she stumbled back a little, surprised. The blade would have cleaved righ tthrough her if she hadn't used her spectral walk.
She appeared the next second in Matthew's original position, and visibly gasped for breath as she came out of the the Spectral walk. She coughed and shook her head to re-oriente herself. She had moved behind Matthew, so it would give her a second to breathe and figure out that sheild of his.
:::Spectral Realm:::
"Really...you don't see it?" He asked desperatly. It was the only thing that stood out in the bleakness. But unbeounced to him, he was the only one who COULD actually see it. The others' saw nothing. " It's a dark area near the horizion." He continued, hoping she overlooked it.

(His name's MAXWELL! >_<)
But the spin that he had used to block and thrust had left him only turned just past her, and he had no intention of giving her that moment. "Dark Lightning!" he shouted as he thrust his free hand toward her again, jagged bolts of darkness and energy lurching out from his palm toward her.
*Spectral Realm*
Rina shook her head. "You misunderstood me. Yes, I can see it. I simply do not know what it is other than the horizon."

Nail turned slightly to see the woman, but turned his attention back to the girl who had fallen. His other side was interested in her for some reason, though he didn't know what. He, too, was intrigued by this girl. "What is your name, miss?" He held out his hand as an invitation for her come closer. "I won't hurt you." He didn't even believe he could, she had survived the fall.

"Beta," she answered fearfully, though she didn't show any inclination of coming any closer to him. In fact, at him turning his attention back to her, the girl only took another step back, turning to the side and holding her arm up in front of her like she was trying to make herself as small as possible so that she might in some way hide.

"Beta, eh? That's no human name. Perhaps a robot or something like that?" He took another step. "I assure you I mean no harn, there is no need to fear me."

The girl shook her head, her blonde hair moving behind it. "No way, I'm no robot. Yuck. What an insult ..."

"You are no longer retreating away." he gave a gentle smile, it was obviously fake, but ment as a token of friendship- also fake. "Try coming toward me now. I am interested in you're, um, shall I say 'entrance'"

The girl took no step forward at all. "I fell," she answered plainly.
(If you would like the shortened version of the likely ensuing conversation ...)
("How?")
("I tripped.")
("From where?")
("An orbital platform.")
("What's that?")
("Something with a really, really, really long drop-off.")

Kopa and Sam coninued to stay in the corner, not wanting to get near whatever it was.
:::Aza:::
And again she shadow stepped out of the way, this time geting lightly seared by the lightning on her right arm.
"You cheat!" She screamed, buying time to recover.
"There is no magic allowed in the arena." She said, not sure of it was or not seeing as to how no one has ever used it.
:::Spectral Realm:::
"Well, I guess it's is my destination. Are you coming too?" He asked, not leven ooking to her. He was still looking around, with a strange feeling nagging at him.

"Ah, I see. You fell from just barely out of gravity's reach. Quite a tumble, quite an odd survival. But what intrigues me most is the fact that, though you survived that immense fall, you've yet to come anywhere near me. Why? I mean no harm."

The girl simply blinked at the question as if it made no sense. "If I could, don't you think I wouldn't have come anywhere near the fall, either?"
*Aza*
(Where did she shadow-step to?)
*Spectral Realm*
"Yes, I would be delighted to accompany you," Rina answered with a bob of her head. "It would be my pleasure to do so. Shall we set forth immediately?"

(You asked her why she'd survive the fall but shy away from him. She's pointing out that if she had a choice, she would've shied away from the fall, too.)
