*ba dum pish...*
In other news, I'm certain they'll find something to replace Toonami soon, once they realize their folly when their viewer numbers plummet.

I didn't hardly recognize Toonami in that clip, though. Tom really got a downgrade since Tom 2.0.

Yeah, he had a face! =O
Maybe they were trying to make him appeal to a younger audience?

You mean one that wouldn't yet know the difference between good storywriting and Naruto?

They never did explain why he suddenly wasnt wearing his helmet, or what happened to Sara the AI, and why those other robots suddenly were there

You mean one that wouldn't yet know the difference between good storywriting and Naruto? The same. I miss how Toonami used to be several hours long, even when half of the shows were just plain stupid (for example, Butt Ugly Martians.) Of course, when the program lasted half the day, it could afford to have a few dumb shows. But when it got shorter and shorter as it neared its death, the more stupid shows, the more the program was impacted. Did they announce beforehand that it was about to be cancelled? It seems like Tom just randomly popped up and told us "Oh, by the way, we're gonna not come back...Forever. 'Kay thanks!"

To his credit, that'd be about the way Tom would approach it. He wouldn't address it until the last.

Really? Hm...Odd, I could've sworn it was on Toonami. Stupid short memory!
I just thought such a long-running show would've gone out with at least a marathon, or something. Obviously not.

I miss old toonami... and old cartoon network for that matter.... hell, old cartoons.... cartoons anymore are to over sensetive, and is all just horribly corny, unlike the good ol' looney tunes. Cartoon Networks big mistake was adding miguzi to the line-up and allowing it to overshadow toonami, but you know what, i'm glad toonami died, its better resting in peace then shifting to the format of miguzi. That would be a disgrace to tom, sara, moltar, and the intruder. The ironic thing is, toonami began airing around the begining of the attitude era of pro-wrestling, which is when pro-wrestling was at its best, and toonami started dying slowly around the same time the attitude era ended, which simultaneously marked the downfall of pro-wrestling. am i saying pro-wrestling and toonami have anything to do with eachother? no, i'm saying TV all around is just begining to suck nowadays.... Damn you whiny, oversensetive, bitchy ass parents who watch an episode of DBZ and go "ZOMG, animated blood! I dont want my kids watching this *call cartoon network* blahblahblahblahblahblah take DBZ off the air because its too awesome for tv i want them to watch lame stuff blahblah!" EDIT: this is what a friend of mine had to say: In over the years Toonami has been a great inspiration to me and introduced me to something in normal situations I'd never have seen. Zoids, Kensin, and millions others are in the background of my ideas that I have used in order to even write. I agree with all of you even though I'm not a member here and I will regret to see Miguzi overtake Toonami. Let us remember our childhood inspiration Tom Shift and his stories. I cry to hear that he is gone, I really do, and wish for more. He gave me anime, he gave me my mind today, inpiration and peace from dayly life. EDIT 2: A fanmade version of Tom's farewell, featuring the Tom we all grew up with......

Hey, I remember toonami, it was only my favorite thing on tv as a kid.
Now, I haven't seen toonami in a long, long time, since I've stopped watching cartoons entirely (we all have to grow up sometime). I kinda assumed they went to crap ever since they put nothing but cheesy anime on their schedule. So no real loss here, but I'd like to see some channel play those mid to late 90s cartoon shows so I can get some nostalgia.

Sorry, that doesn't have nearly enough old school shows. I didn't even see Fresh Prince on there

Read about it, saw the farewell on YouTube...
... god damn, I miss that guy. I remember coming home from school, plopping in front of the TV and watching DBZ. I mean, sure, Toonami had other days, but watching DBZ, watching Tom talk about reviews of video games, and the fact Tom was COOL... that all died.
I stopped watching Toonami before Tom even lost his helmet and when the AI was still around so, thankfully, I didn't get to see their downfall.
... I wonder what they're going to do now. I practically grew up with Tom, to be honest. Maybe the shows weren't the best, but I didn't care... 'cause Tom was this cool robot in space showing all these cartoons that I thought (at the time) were godsend compared to other TV shows I watched.
R.I.P. Tom. We'll miss you... a lot.
