So apparently, since the I-5 just closed down, there's virtualy no way to leave San Diego from where I live, so in a worst case scenario I have no where to go and am pretty much screwed.
Luckily the winds are dying down, so a worst case scenario is unlikely. They say the fires should be 100% conatined within a week and it looks like my part of town is entirely safe, infact today the sky here is particularly blue. Special thanks to all those firefighters for keeping us safe from the flames, and my sympathies for those whose homes got scorched by the inferno.

Aye, the sky is much bluer today, we have alot of coastal winds. The five is open again, but camp pendleton is still burning. If the fires get any closer to home Im going to head north tomorrow after work and ride them out up there.
On another note, I didn't realize how many California eab members we had. When are we having the official EAB convention?

We finally started smelling the fires up north here yesterday. I walked out of second period and it hit me...By the end of the day soot had already started to fall, and there was a coat of it on our cars. Night cleared everything up again, though; today the sky was blue, not cloudy like yesterday, and I could only slightly smell the fires. On another note, it's really hot. =(
Good luck to you all down south, stay safe! I'm glad things are dying down, but I'll keep praying.
