I believe its called Brazilian Jujitsu. Its the one were the fighter looks more like he/she is dancing than fighting. That is my personal ultimate style that could totaly kick my free style ass. I would like it known that I do not know any Brazilian Jujitsu but I do know there is a Dojo that teaches it that I see on my way to college everyday.

I think Enigma said he took Aikido. I do know that both Judo and Aikido (a style of karate) are taken from Jujitsu, which is the most badass style ever, hands down, I don't care what anyone says. It's hard as hell to find a good Jujitsu instructor in America, and I've never even seen an Aikido dojo. All I really know is that they use a lot of elbows and the kihons, but a round kick instead of the roundhouse. Weird to throw, but pretty powerful. Just watch out for franchise studios. Eh Aikido is one of the worst situational martial arts out there, its more spiritual than it is martial, and some good proof is that alot of the instructors are also yoga instructors >.> its really hard to wanna use a style like that which requires you to always grab someone wrist and do 20 steps to get them on the ground that wont hurt them completely, even the instructor had to cheat on me cause the holds just didnt work. All Akido really is, is a style that uses throws and counter grapples, but its very flawed, especially with other more combat oriented styles out there

You're thinking of kapueta, EJP. My spelling on that's probably way off, I just know the pronunciation from a Sensei with a very thick accent. Brazillian Jujitsu is taken from Japanese Jujitsu, it's a concentration exclusively on ground techniques.
And AJ, you can't judge an entire style just because there's some bad instructors out there. If that were the case, pretty much every fighting style in the history of planet Earth would suck. (What did yoga ever do to you?)

I never said the instructors were bad, just that they saw it more in the spiritual sense, which its alot about. I just find it odd thats its based around a sword fighting style that uses no sword and that you can somehow fend of 5 people at once once they all have already grabbed you, which i was taught how to do, bottom line, if you take aikido dont expect to be winning any fights, its not what its used for, its more of a "peaceful" means of defeating your enemy, as strange as that sounds. I really got into it at one point, read alot of books and stuff and like i said, the moves are just a bit too situational. As for yoga, it knows what it did to me *Cries* But again, Yoga is a very spiritual thing, I think thats why Aikido instructors also do Yoga, for the spiritualism

Stop cying like a wee little baby just because they thaught you to stick your head up your ass Lotus. Be a man, suck it up! Besides, if you didn't want to learn how to stick your head up your ass then you shouldn't have taken yoga.
So who here just free styles in fighting? Also does anyway know the way of the addapting fist aka Bruce Lee style?
Oh and lastly, I've never taken yoga. I learned meditation long ago and after 3 years of riding the bus to my college, I've mastered being able to meditate in odd and unconfertable positions... not to mention how to sleep on a bus without missing my stop.

*raises hand sheepishly* It's called Jeet Kun Do... Bruce Lee's philosophy was to be like water and thus, like you said, adapt to fit any situation. He actually got a lot of moves from fencing, of all things. It's often considered a Kung Fu style, since that's what most of the influence is.

*Raises his right food* I called it the way of the addapting fist since its an addapting fighting style, its a addapting name. Don't get all hostile on me because I don't know it's true name.

I hate to interrupt the fight but.... Car beats human. No it doesn't. Haven't you ever played Street Fighter? When you fight the car, you always win.

And there was that incident with Spectral and the H3! Dunno if you were around when he was raving about that.
And I'm not sure you know what "sheepish" means, EJP. I don't like to keep correcting you, but if you don't know the real name and I do, what's wrong with telling you so you know it now?

Nothing so far as I see.
It's amazing how I've missed this thread with the words Ninja Mater in my signature. It is true that I am a fighter, too. I'd like to say I'm a free-style fighter, but most of my style is based around tree other styles. Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu, and yes... Manji Ninjitsu.
It is a perfect combination for my body type. I have an impressive arsenal of standing, ground, and just plain convoluted moves at my disposal.
But enough of my rambling. It's spelled Capoeira by the way.

AJ/Lotus/DRPAIN522 its not nice to call people names. Also, now that you are vividly denying taking yoga aftering claiming to have taken yoga and hurting yourself, how are we ever to believe you? It seems more like your hiding the fact that you learned how to stick your head up your ass. Also my freestlye has severed me well in my fights. I've yet to lose a fight since addapting it. Then again I haven't been in true fight in a long as ass time so in the words of Spectral MEH!
Remember kids and Emo boy, avoiding fights is always a smart move to make. Even more so if one of you decides to take legal action.
zandyne, your car might win. But if you don't kill me, I'll take that car of yours and then your life.
True, I ment foot and not food and yes I don't know what "sheepish" means.
Toriji, I'll believe your a real ninja master when you are able to sneek into my house (NO CHEATING BY DATING MY SISTER!) without getting a edged weapon or gun pulled on you.

Wow, a good indicator you guys are taking this way too much to heart is when you start taking jokes and turning them into threats. Take a time-out guys, jeez.
We're not measuring our egos based on our skills, we're all friends here aren't we?
