Name: Rubin Holt Age: 15 Gender: Male Appearance: (In the long run, mind you.)Personality: Independent, intelligent, and persistent to a fault, Rubin's life revolves around challenges. He is extremely goal oriented and stubborn. For him, overcoming hardship is the highest form of living. And failure, no matter how frequent, never deters him from the pursuit of excellence. He detests inaction and admires determination in others. Background: The younger and more energetic of three brothers, Rubin grew up in Lavender Town, in a house haunted by a friendly but otherwise illusive Duskull. Every evening it would appear, and from sun down until bed time for over 10 years, Rubin would attempt to capture it. And every night the ghostly pokémon proved too crafty or too evasive to be caught, with many a vase or window shattered by flying pokéballs. But despite his repeated failures, Rubin remained committed to the relentless pursuit of his quarry, determined to make Duskull his first pokémon. In time, though, and at the behest of his parents, Rubin came to realize that catching Duskull would require him to make a compromise, and seek out a different pokémon as his first. A painful decision, but also a necessary one if he was ever to stand any chance of finally capturing Duskull. So on he went to Graoe, confident that completing one challenge would open the door to another. And how many others? Preferred Starter: Farfetch'd

Name: Nikolai Konovalev Age: 15 Gender: Male Appearance: Personality: Nikolai describes himself as a ferocious rising star. Most would add that he wears his heart on his sleeve; even the smallest of triumphs has him celebrating as if he had won the lottery, and every setback he suffers leaves him dejected and sullen. They would further mention that he believes that since he is the eldest of his siblings, he must also set a shining example for his brothers and sisters, and so encourage them to become stars in their own right. Background: Nikolai was born on a Pokemon breeding farm in the Graoe countryside, the first of what would become four children (his mother had always wanted a girl). He therefore grew up surrounded by Pokemon, and later, people; his mother and father were glad to have the help, but the eldest of the Konovalev children always felt that he and his siblings were destined to rise beyond their humble beginnings, and, as soon as he turned 10, he started making overtures for his parents to allow them to seek their fortunes out in the wide world. They countered with the fact that the farm had done some expanding since then, and they weren't exactly getting any younger. This admittedly logical reasoning served to hold him for the next five years, though, as the younger ones matured, Nikolai eventually gained a rebuttal; they had managed to successfully raise a few Machamp, and so they no longer really needed any extra muscle. So they at last agreed to at least let him go, and, ecstatic, he immediately gathered his things and ran off, not even thinking to ask for one of the numerous Pokemon that his parents owned. Preferred Starter: Cyndaquil

Yeah, I'm thinking we'll start it after the new year, since this is sorta the busy season for family and the like.
I'll have to check our lists, Shin, but you may be able to catch Cyndaquil. If so, you'll want to pick another, so be thinking on other options just in case.

Naw, they never made Cyndaquil catchable; in Emerald they DID let players who completed the National Dex pick from either the aforementioned, Chikorita, or Totodile though. For whatever that's worth.

However, we do things differently in the Graoe region. It's fully possible that pokemon such as Cyndaquil and Charmander can be found in the fire area.
