"Smart boy," she answered as she stood, brushing herself off. "You'd better open up a gate back home, though. If your parents find out you're paying a visit to a territory in the demon realm in the midsts of a civil war, your mom will have my head and your dad will replace it with a chicken."

Seth sighed and shook his head. "I'm not six anymore, I can take care of myself. Besides, what mom doesn't know won't hurt her. Can't I help? Please?"

"It's not what'll hurt her," she answered, "it's what'll hurt me when they find out I let you."

"Aw, come on!" Seth said. "This is what life's about! Risk! Adventure! I'm sick of sitting around in Hum-Drum Nowheresville where the most challanging thing is making sure I wear the right clothes! I won't be any trouble, Aunt Pinky, I promise."

The Chosen One sighed, slumping. "I know I'm gonna pay for this ... Alright, you can stay, but if I tell you to pull back in battle, I expect you to do it, not to ask why, understood?"

"Understood perfectly, Aunt Pinky..." Seth said. "You can count on me."

*outside*
"Alright then let's go" He walked over to the castle and pushed the doors open to see that a boy was laying on top of Star. His eyes dialated and he rushed over to him, picking him up by the collar. He held a clawed hand to his throat. "Who are you?!?" He growled. "What are you doin..." He thought for a second than dropped him back onto his feet, dusting him off. "I'm sorry, I'm not used to company appearing in the castle without my knowledge. But I must still ask, who are you?"

For the longest time after being released, Seth merely glared at Toriji darkly. From behind his scowl, he slowly tried to convince himself that what he wanted to say to the demon and what he should say were two polar opposite things. Finally, he spoke. "Seth Frois." He said bitterly. "I'm a novice reality manipulator."

Zulon watched the whole interaction uninterested.
"Great!" Said Zulon, who was beginning to tire of all of this," Now we are introduced. Now we are here. Now, can we get on with it?" Zulon's voice contained a great bit of tiredness as if he were an elderly person.

"I have to agree," Star said in response to Zulon's complaint as she nodded. "This doesn't seem like something that should be drawn out."

Veritas started to nod in agreement, then froze and snapped her attention to Star. In the next second, she snapped it back, shaking her head quickly.
"Indeed. What is the urgency?"

As if on cue, even though they were all within the castle and the massive gates were shut, the sound of some seemingly massive fist knocking on the gates echoed throughout the structure.

"Please be seated, I will answer the door." He turned and walked to the front of the castle. He was nervous as his paranoia always made him to be. He finally reached out and pulled the door open.

"Bad move" Zulon commented to himself as the door opened, knowing that it was extremely strange for a know to come. Really, wouldn't a newcomer be sent from a portal to Toriji, as had all of the others. Then, if he/she was a human, knocking on the door of a giant castle, in the middle of flaming plains, would not seem like a smart idea. . .
Only other explanation was a demon. . .

Indeed, on the other side of the door was an extremely handsome man, perhaps beautiful might have been a better description. His long blonde hair flowed down to his feet around behind his billowing cream robes. He had a very polite, very civil smile on his face.
It was the Man-Demon, himself.
"Ah, Toriji, young lad," he greeted him cheerfully, as if he were an old family friend. "You've grown since I last saw you in person. Looking more and more like your father every day. Your crest is becoming quite ornate."
