Dominic laughed, and sank into a nearby shadow, popping up in his chair. "With this little scolding I guess it would not hurt to say that come May I will be three hundred and eight."

It was rare that he would get contracts from the government. He ussually tried to downplay his infamy ussually by taking jobs that are not fairly well known, or seem small on the outside, but then again, they DO know his social security number, chances, are they knew everything. It did not matter, what was most important was that he was getting paid. And a good some of money as well. However, the mission from what he had heard tibbits about, had to deal with activites which he had very little taste for. Supposedly ghosts, he hated ghosts. Under normal circumstances, there wasnt a thing he would be able to do to them, which would warrant a trip home. This time however, he made sure to bring a variety of gadgets and tools, not just for ghosts, but for whatever the situation would need. He was aware that this was still a search and rescue operation, but a few supplies couldnt hurt.
He was only carrying around one small piece of luggage, a duffel bag. The other luggage, with the equipment, had already been loaded, completely bypassing security. The arrangment for it to be loaded was set before Mark had heard he had clearence to bypass security anyways. He had some info on the others as well, gathered from an outside source. From the way things sounded, he would be one of the most normal people there. Everyone else seemed to be some supernatural thing or not a native or have some strange power that goes beyond what can be imagined. Mark didnt care, they were all weirdos and they were all part of a giant circus, even himself.
He boarded the plane, with little to no hinderence. A bunch of the other 'heroes for hire' had already boarded and were busy talking, bickering, bragging amongst themselves. Mark didnt want much to do with it, so he proceeded towards the back row of seats of the plane. And simply sat down, pulling a portable mp3 player out of his pocket, and simply listened to the opera blaring through the tiny headphones.

Aeven, being a social creature, had been enjoying the conversation and had begun to reply to Dominic. Granted, she counted all of them, save Suki who had proven herself to the drow already, beneath her, but being civil and friendly with the others meant an easier method of approaching them later if the need arose. But before she could, the captain's announcement that they were preparing for takeoff sounded and she fastened her seat belt. She glanced toward Grimsly. "You might want to turn Suki's seat back into a seat so she can buckle up, too, and find yourself a seat."
(Alright, we're preparing for a time lapse. If you haven't posted getting on the plane yet, assume you have already arrived on it.)

looking to the man that just stepped on the plane Suki says, "Hello! Nice to meet you! The names Suki whats yours?" Suki then looks over to Aeven and says, "Aww does he haft to? Why doesn't he just make it a glass ball filled with water. *yawn* All this talking was making my tired anyways, and besides I will feel better when I sleep underwater." and as she give Aeven a pathetic look she says, "Pretty please."

(Lapse away, mon capitan)
His eyes were closed. Mattaias sighed when Jack addressed him; so much for being left alone. He opted to keep his eyes closed, though he probably didn't have much choice in the matter. If he had opened them, he was sure he'd be forced to snap them back shut again due to the proximity of such strong auras, like looking into flood lights...
...And he was supposed to work under these conditions? Mattaias visibly scoffed, even before he replied to Jack's questions; how he was supposed to solve anything with the contamination they'd bring...it would be a miracle...
"I'm sour because I'm here, Mr. Graves. Because certain higher-ups saw fit to place a certain stamped folder into my hands and make this my business. Sorry if I seem a little bitter, but I'd rather have some personal space for a while..."

At Mattaias's reply Suki turnes to him and says, "Uh oh, sounds like someone has had a bad day. Do you want a hug?"

Aeven reached over and set her hand on Suki's shoulder. "Suki, you know how some men are about your hugs. Just let him be. And if you stay in water, it'll splash all over during takeoff, and I have to wear these clothes until we land."

Suki looks up at Aeven and says, "Ok Aeven. Heh i'm sorry if I anoyed anyone. I've had twelve cans of soda today and that makes me very hyper. *yawn* Grimsly, could you please turn my seat back? I'm tired and I want to sleep while we fly so I don't miss anything.

(Must be ninja people to know his last name when he never said it.)
John laughs, "I sure will," with that he touches the point of the rose to the water, causing the water, stained-glass, and rose to disappear and the chair reappearing where it once was, though oddly different; soft and silky.
Looking over to his seat, he stares at it for a moment before it grows wider and made with a silk covering with a down inside; where he sits down in it to meditate, silken buckles holding him in loosely. Least I can get out of this is a couple hours of meditating; haven't done that in a few days, not enough time with all the rush and bush of modern life.

"Hmm. Looks like everyone is either pissed, on a sugur crash, or meditating." He sighed to himself, and turned to the drow. "Care to swap some stories from the past?"

"Why not?" she answered with a smile that suggested some underhanded intent. "You should start."

"Did you ever sail during the Dutch reign over the India Passage? I used to make runs for them or pirate every now and then, and it pissed Spain off. There was this one incident before I was cursed, The had snuck up on us in the night when we had docked. I was asleep at the inn while the men partied down below when they sank our ship and came looking for us. I was woken up, and to sit them we took their ship. When they came back we waited for them and as soon as on reached the deck we pushed them off. They believed it was just wet for a good hour before we set sail and left them watching. It was a good old laugh, although I don't think their captain liked it when I came out dressed in his clothes acting like a monkey at them."

Suki looks over to Dominic and says, "Cool, you were a pirate. Me and my family traveled a lot in the past I wonder if we ever met."

"Maybe, who knows." Dominic said, looking back. "Only the gods..." He said, not quite noticing his remark.. It was a slightly bitter tone.

Noticing Dominic's bitter tone Suki says, "It sounds like you don't hold the gods in very high regard. I may not worship any of them, but I don't think I would talk of them so." Giving a small smirk she says, "You remind me of my older brother. He has a slightly bitter outlook on life."
