The outsider nodded at that as he turned it over in his head, sipping at his beverage again. "So if I did start the brawl here and it was looking like I was going to cause too much damage, you'd step in. Thus, for me to last long enough for the Guard to arrive, I'd probably kill you. Then in the Colosseum, I'd have to kill one of your colleagues. So technically, according to the laws of your land, I could take out two out of seven members of your entire governing body and get off a free man as a result. Would you say that's a fair assessment?"

The young blond man looks at him for a moment, passing the unusual clothing off for that of a sorcerer or wizard, "Currently only Johnathon is here, and discussing politics to him is about as effective as discussing it with a wall. Everyone knows he's only a co-leader because he's our best fighter and helped free us from our previous ruler. Freaking tyrant."
He glanced back down at his desk and paper work, "But he should be up on the top floor if you insist on talking to him." He gestures slightly to the stairs on Illerin's left leading up.
*Dorian*
Beau rubs his chin lightly, "Does sound like a minor flaw, what with me being dead and all. Though I'm sure none of the co-leaders would stay dead for long. If you manage to kill one." He shifted in his seat a great deal as it was suddenly much more uncomfortable.
"Anyways, I'd probably not get involved in the fight. Hell, I'd probably be the first one out of the inn just in case the place gets hit by a couple flashes of magic and decides to fall." He flicked his right hand a bit and a small wooden beaded bracelet drops into view from inside his sleeve and he grabs it and plucks it once--almost like a nervous gesture. Considering he had slight smile on his face that seemed to give the same impression, it was possible.

The Dagahasi nodded in agreement with the rationale. "A wise decision. One might never know what would happen. Of course, I assure you, I do not wear these swords simply to look impressive. I have spent a great deal of training in mastering their use. One would reason that studying magic at the same time would have been detrimental to the study of both." He smiled that disarming smile of his. Or what would be disarming if it weren't fanged. "Forgive me, my friend, are my hypothetical scenarios making you uncomfortable? You don't think I'd actually, oh, say, stand to leave, my questions answered, then wheel around and strike you down first so you couldn't run, then blame it on the brawl after any other witnesses are dead, do you? Why would I do a silly thing like that?"

"I've seen a few sorcerers almost as adapt with a blade as they were at magic, so I know learning both is possible if you are dedicated enough. Dedication is the key though. Oh not too much, a little unsettling that you'd think of them. Some part of your demonic heritage showing through, I'd presume. But as long as they stay hypothetical, nothing is wrong with it." His bracelet-ed arm reached up and and his finger rolled into his sideburns, his brown eyes momentarily glancing at his teeth, turning his mouth into a slight awkward half-smile.
"Oh of course not. I don't think you are that corrupted by your blood," as he said it his smile shifted and was much less awkward and was a complete smile now.

"Good," Dorian answered as he nodded and sipped at his drink again. "It's a terrible shame when someone lets stereotypes get in the way ..." And he turned back to his drink.

Illerin's face twisted into an annoyed expression for a barely noticeable second, then it went back to the conciliatory expression he had previously been using. Then he nodded and walked over to and then up the stairs. When out of earshot he hissed out several words in a language no one would know, just his way of cursing and venting some frustration. Then he would arrive at the top of the stairs.

Ahara fallowed behind her, he wondered if she believed he was an evil being that she could easily dispatch or just a child she found amusing. He walked faster to keep pace until he was right beside her; Ahara leaned forward cocking his head at her.
“I used to be a solider ya know, I’m not some murder. I mean the cutting people up part that was not a murder confession.” He smiled to soften the moment “I’m not going to bite you, in fact you seem very pleasant.”
The mood coming from Lia was positive, but Ahara needed to be sure. She seemed to be a generous person but one not without limits.

"Yes it is," Beau said, as he drank more of his liquor. While he didn't have his eyes on Dorian, he never did have his head or eyes turned away enough to not be able to see the Dagahashi at least in the corners of his eyes.
"So, what brought you to these parts?"
*Illerin*
When Illerin got to the top of the stairs, the stairs going up were directly beside the ones he just went up allowing him to quickly get to the top floor with no problems. Although other than the bottom floor and the top floor all of the other floors had the stairs separated from the rest of the level with walls and metal doors.
On the top floor was a tall man nearing 7 feet fall with large firm muscles. His brown hair was cropped fairly short just longer than the beard he had stretched across his face. His eyes would jump out at Illerin: they were blue around the edges and in the center, but for the most part the human's eyes were golden.
His chest was covered in thick rough leather with faint lines and markings made into it, will his legs were covered by slightly lighter leather, and his arms were completely uncovered revealing his hairy arms with visible black markings running up and down them. Strapped across his back was a fairly large battle ax--obviously the guards didn't bother trying to keep weapons from him.
Quickly he spotted Illerin, and his voice was rough, "What do you need?" As he spoke he gestured some with his hands bringing his large hands and the fairly long jagged fingernails clearly into view.
*Ahara*
Lia turned her head towards Ahara and smiled, "I figured as much--Elizabeth's magic reveals the nature of others to me. I could see your heart was in the right place and thought no murder of you. Diola lle--Thank you for your kind words."

The demon shrugged at the question. "Mostly, just where the gods see fit to send me," he answered honestly. "Besides, I smell something coming for this city, and I want to be here to see it."

Illerin smiled and cracked his long fingers as he walked forward and then bowed. The bow took a force of will, submitting to anyone was not something Illerin did easily. He then rose and spoke. "Lord Johnothan, I am Illerin Wormssson and I bring offers of service to your council. I am gifted in many things and would like to offer my services to you as an advisor, for politics are something of a hobby of mine." He smiled what seemed to be an open and hopeful smile.

Her words gave Ahara a sense of well being despite the pounding still going on inside his mind. As they walked through the crowds of people he watched her closely, everything she did seemed to have a purpose to it.
Interesting woman, wonder why she’s not put a price on this cure she has? He though
“So once we’re there how long to make this cure of yours? I mean you said the plants would help right?” Ahara asked as his face twisted from a sudden sharp pain.

The halfling tilted his head and stared at Dorian as he spoke, "Ah, I see... What kind of something do you smell coming for the city? And what gods sent you here?"
*Illerin*
The tall human popped his neck just before he started talking, not bothering to respond to the bow, "I try to stay out of the politics when I can help it, so I have no need of an advisor. Anything else important at hand?" When had reached the word politics he stumbled over the word slightly.
*Ahara*
As two of them near the Dew Drop Inn again, Lia speaks up almost as if to answer his thoughts, "I forgot, since the herbs that are needed for it grow locally--I want charge you for it. Though the making process will take just a few minutes, two or three usually. Five at the most, since most of the work is heating the water and we generally always have some heated water. The stuff will help significantly--though it's not the greatest tasting drink, but probably beats suffering from a bad headache."
As Ahara's face twisted in pain, she looked at him her smile dropping a bit, "You alright? Must be a serious hangover."

Illerin had a plan though and sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't but he would make the attempt now. "My lord it is because you are not interested in politics that you need one such as me to be your voice in that quarter. By distancing yourself from politics you ensure that you have no say in them, but they effect you none the less. I can help you to keep what you have from being damaged and advise you on how to get whatever you wish, for I have been doing this a long time."

The Reaver scoffed at the question, considering it silly. "Do not all the gods, in one way or another, hold equal sway in our lives, for good or ill? Does it matter which one or ones played a particular card, so long as the card is played?" He gave the halfling a smile. "Forgive me. Where I come from, favoring one god over another is considered quite foolhardy, and it always seems foolish to me whenever I go somewhere and they ask for specifics."
He turned back to his beverage and sipped at it again. "To answer your question, though, I smell Disease. A big one. And it smells like rat droppings."

“Oh just fine; in a way this is a good sign.” Ahara said shaking his head “More this hurts the better time I had last night.”
Ahara rubbed his hand on his fore head as he walked trying to stay focused.
“Mmmmm and rest assured I have the coin, I may even throw in a drink on top of that, and if you turn me down I could always use another one.”
