Okay, I've been trying to get this DnD game running on several other forums and it's not worked so I may as well see how it does here
It's an eight parter and will take you guys from Lv1 to Lv20 so it's pretty big. I'm using a format I found on another site that is great for summing up the rules without a huge wall of text.
1. What game system are you running, and if applicable what edition?
- DnD 3.5 Edition
2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be? What is the setting for the game?
- Forgotten Realms Setting.
3. How many Players are you looking for?
- Preferably 4 players but I can work with 3 or even up to 6 max.
4. What's the gaming medium?
- Play by Post (PbP) on these forums, anything done in secret will be through PMs
5. What is the characters' starting status?
- Characters start at Level 1, No Gestalt.
6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?
- Characters get average starting gold according to their class to spend on equipment.
7. Are there any particular character classes that you want... or do not want?
- I'd like a balanced party if possible, only allowing the 11 core classes, No Psionics.
8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game?
- Players can chose any race from the PHB, the FR Campaign Setting or anything in the Monster Manual of Humanoid, Dragon or Outsider type with no more than +2 Level Adjustment and no racial Hit Dice.
9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?
- Abilities are 5d6b3 six times, or 32 Point Buy. Hit Points are max for 1st Level, roll for others.
10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?
- Yes, I use alignment, preferably kept to Good and Neutral characters.
11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
- I do allow multiclassing, I do not allow gamebreaking character builds.
12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game?
- Players can roll the dice themselves, but I reserve the right to reroll if I find anything suspicious.
13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about?
- Nope, no Homebrew. No Traits or Flaws either.
14. Is a character background required?
- Yes, nothing too exhaustive, a couple sentences will do.
15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above?
- Primarily Roleplaying with some Hack and Slash and Puzzle Solving thrown in.
16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material?
- You can use any of the official sourcebooks for feats and spells etc, as long as I can access them too. No class variants though, I want to keep it as simple as possible.
So, those are the rules, who wants to play?
