Really, have you even tried? I'm sitting here shaking my head...I'd love to have your job. Seriously, I'd really love the kind of money you're making right now, andf I'd be glad to put up with all the crap that would go along with it. Instead, I'm making a couple dollars more than minimum wage in a customer service job that entails dealing with all the impatient, rage-ridden morons of the entire country, all in one day, then waking up and doing it again the next day. Please, let me have your job, and you can take mine. I'll gladly put up with all that crap with a smile on my face.
If it's really that bad, find a new job. I don't care if they don't pay as much or don't have as many benefits, that's what happens when you start over at a new place, you usually move down a rung or three. It's how they award longevity. The best you can do is to just do your best work and move back up the ladder.
Of your content to just sit around and feel sorry for yourself in the job you have, then keep asking for that raise you think you deserve. Be assertive, not rude. Look him/her in the eye and present your case. Most importantly, be respecful the entire time. I doubt that your employer hates you; if they did, you either would never have gotten the job, or you would have been fired long before now.
Seriously man, suck it up...
