(A few notes before reading. This character is not 100% done, as I have a couple more sections to add, includding his spell casting section. This is also a complete rewrite of the 2003 EAB version as the 2007 rewrite was lost sadly. So those of you who remember Airoar, may see some different things from before. A pic will also be coming soon...)
Name: Airoar Gor-Scythe
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 52
Height: 6ft
Alignment: Neutral Evil/True Neutral (Insane)
Power Leve: 8-9 (Depending on interpretation)
Physical Description: Long Blond hair, usually tied back into a pony tail. Eyes appear normal, except the iris, which pulsate a bright green illumination (does not give off light though). Pale white skin. Most discernable feature is a long blue scar that runs from the top of his forehead, all the way down his face, curving around his nose, and stopping at the top of his upper lip. He wears a black open cloak with dark gray boots, gloves, shirt, and pants. The clothing seems to be of a holy type nature, with slight embroidering of gold and silver, though not noticeable until up close. He also wears various trinkets and magical artifacts that he has discovered through time.
Emotional Description: Maintains a calm pleasant persona, like that of a friendly gentleman out for a stroll. Often will mutter cheerful tunes while in the middle of deep combat. Has never been angry, or showed emotions of aggravation. It is believed that he is insane, as his views of right and wrong are horribly skewed. At times, he will completely enjoy himself in combat, and adopt a maniacal grin and composure, giving himself the appearance of a literal madman.
Brief History: Airoar is a powerful magic user/religious fanatic who has merged his soul with various cult members who share his likeminded views. He seeks to destroy the multiverse itself so that a fallen god will rise, and recreate it as a place of peace and joy.
History (Expanded) : Airoar Gor-Scythe is a man who tends to remain behind the scenes, and does his best not to draw undue attention to himself if it can be avoided. Thus information about his past is generally unknown. What is known however contributes to the identity of a mad zealot driven by a promise of peace and prosperity to all living beings on known existence.
It is believed that Airoar belonged to cult dedicated to an unnamed god, a powerful creative force, that was struck down before it was able to accomplish anything. The cult, believing that the world around them, to be a place of terror and malice, sought a means in which to revive the fallen god. Through the revival of this fallen god, it would recreate the world in perfection, a peaceful existence for all lucky enough to be born into it, as it should be.
Through various research, and piecing together of long forgotten and outdated scriptures, they were able to discover, that through death and sacrifice of intelligent beings. They could hasten the revival of the forgotten one. Unfortunately, the death of several beings, through several unknown dimensions, seemed ridiculous, and unfeasible. So they set out to discover other means in which to bring about mass death. There actions were discovered by an organization of religious inquisitors, and were sought out, most of their cult being destroyed. The remaining members, seeing as how they could easily be destroyed, made a ritual sacrifice, combining their souls into one cult member’s body, who would be the host of the cult. This gave the one being, known as Airoar Gor-Scythe, unimaginable arcane and divine power, multiplying his previous skill at least a hundred fold, giving him enough power to rival the most powerful magic users of the realms. He was able to single handedly crush the inquisition that had destroyed a portion of his cult, and set out again, traveling through the realms. During his travels, he would destroy countless people who he deemed worth of enlightenment, for in the prophecy, those destroyed by the prophets hand (in this case, Airoar himself) would be guaranteed a birthplace in the new, beautiful world. He also continue his search for ways in which to hasten the death of the multiverse itself.
Through recent events (Airoar’s Rage) it is believed that he is very close to achieving his goals.
Battle: Unlike most high powered characters, Airoar does not have super strength, super speed, or properties of mass destruction, however Airoar can act, and react to each of these traits with his own equivalents in the form of high powered arcane and divine spells.
Airoar fights for the most part in a defensive manner, summoning various forms of protective spells and magic, over time, making all but impossible for an opponent to defeat him. He then moves on to a form of countering, witnessing his opponents strengths, then reducing those strengths, or protecting himself against those strengths. Once he has whittled down his opponent’s strength and powers down, is when he usually then goes on the offensive, breaking his opponent down with powerful spells until they are defeated. Normally, this process starts at the very beginning of a battle, in which usually a time stop is triggered by Airoar himself, or by a spell triggered (a trap in essence, with the result being a spell) by an enemies attack. In which case, while time is stopped, Airoar will put up a small variety of defensive magic, and then continue the battle from there.
Airoar’s main power, is not in his ability to create mass destruction, but for having an answer to every situation, and being able to react calmly, and easily at the same time.
(His favorite spells and abilities will be added here for reference at another time, as I have to do the research to look them up and rewrite them… again…)
Spell Casting: (This will be filled in later, as there is a lot of information I need to retrieve)
Special Abilities:
Prophet of the Forgotten God. These abilities, are not spells, however they may influence his spell casting power. Such abilities have rarely been witnessed, and it is unknown if they are actually influenced by magic or the weave in general. Airoar once claimed in a battle, in reaction to witnessing his new powers that they are gifts from the forgotten god, as he is his prophet. These powers operate on a power that may exceed that of the divine in general. The power status of the deity that Airoar follows is unknown, but if it grants powers, with no worshipers other than Airoar, it may be assumed that this is no ordinary divine being…
Final Command: Airoar has the ability to capture and return. Ranged-non physical-non mundane attacks that an opponent makes against him. This includes fireballs, lightning blasts, energy blasts, psionic waves, etc, as long as Airoar knows that they are there. In which he’ll usually capture the attack, corrupt it to an original power source so that it cannot be reabsorbed, and then fling it back at the opponent. He may choose to keep the attack hovering around him, as a defensive deterrent, or take multiple captured attacks, and form a new, more powerful attack of the result.
Overpowering: Airoar’s magic, seeming empowered either by the various souls within his body, or what he claims is the empowering of the forgotten god, is able to over come immunities of other characters and beings. If a character or being is immune to magic, the divine properties empowering the spell, overcome the mortal bounds of the ability, thus taking the full effect of the spell. However, the more and more the spell is used against the bypassed immunity, the immunity grows stronger and stronger, eventually regaining it’s full potential.
Weakness: Due to the ability to counter opponents abilities within battle, and protect himself outside of battle, Airoar has no glaring weakness. However, Airoar has problems dealing with groups of characters significantly below his power level. His style focuses mostly on fighting single opponents, and countering their actions. However, when he has to split his attention to multiple opponents and attempts to fight them all, problems usually occur, as he cannot counter all their strengths at once. However, he Airoar usually prepares himself beforehand for such battles, by summoning various powerful creatures under his control to help him. It should also be noted, that simply summoning various creatures to fight Airoar, is not a viable tactic, as Airoar most likely will simply uncommon them, and then cast a spell to lock down the area with a dimension lock spell, thus preventing any summoning.
