Name: Hiromi Fventes
Age: 152
Gender: Male
Race: Human - Parallel World Zerios
Alignment: Chaotic, but with a good heart.
Power Level: Mid-tier Medium (5)
Timeline: Medieval
Appearance:
Personality: The terms wild, impulsive, creative, energetic and slacking all fit Hiromi. The child is very girly, part of the showmanship she gives all to. In fact, only those that don't know her personally know that she is anything but what she presents herself to be, as she is an expert at disguises and costumes. She can even convincingly wear a swimsuit. She doesn't do it because she's gay or a transvestite, but rather because she's found that people respond better to a female and more readily believe her than they do a male. Over time, it's pretty much become an integral part of her personality and performance, so much so that she actually even thinks of herself in the feminine.
History: Growing up in Casnuler was a real bore for the child who only wanted to play pranks and play with the pretty dust that made such spectacular smoke when thrown about. That was how Hiromi grew up, watching in awe as a clap of a carpet sent up dry dust in a spectacular plume, or how a solid black or gray rock, which she later learned was called flint, created a spark when struck against something. Or how her uncle could take a mouthful of liquor and breathe fire, much to her mother's displeasure.
These things enthralled the child to such a degree that she tinkered and tinkered with them, seeing what could be done, and when she achieved that, seeing what ELSE could be done. Disguises, deceptions, twists and misleadings entranced her childhood. Her parents, followers of the benevolent Curvengia, encouraged her creativity and imagination at every possible turn.
Once she was old enough to attend school, however, the elders that taught the healing arts were far less enthusiastic about her stunts and pranks. They discouraged it frequently in an effort to get her to focus on her studies, but the more they pushed, the more she pushed back. Playing with flashbangs was simply far more entertaining to her than listening to some old fogey drone on about cantrips and setting limbs. Sure, she picked up some stuff, a moderate ability in healing magic and just enough general magic to slip by, but it was plain early on that, while she had potential, it would never be applied to that field.
When she was old enough, she left the academy to pursue her preferred studies and practiced extensively, applying herself at a level that the elders had no doubt spent long nights dreaming of one of their students pouring into their teachings. Quickly, she progressed, and this is when she discovered the advantage of gender in her performances and moved to take advantage of it. She developed her costume with three important concepts in mind: Protection, Flair and Storage. Many might mistake her for an Anrevent and Anrevents might attempt to rob a lone young woman on the highway, so the ringmail beneath the kimono-like outfit was essential. First and foremost, however, she was a performer, and her outfit drew eyes to her and allowed her to stand out. The billowing sleeves provided an incredible storage space for many of her tricks and gadgets without giving away their locations.
So equipped, she has proceeded across her country to refine her skills and entertain the populace as she was once entertained by that simple plume of dust.
Powers: Hiromi possesses moderate healing magic, enough to cure anything from cuts to gashes, broken bones and the like, as well as a nasty cold, but serious injuries are beyond her capabilities. The rest of her magic is inconsequential, little tricks to help her in her performances, not enough to be counted on their own.
Equipment: There's often no telling what she has, literally, up her sleeves. She keeps supplies of flashpowder, glass balls of smoke, gunpowder, alcohol (for combustion fuel, not for drinking), various odds and ends for props and other supplies. Notable gadgets are as follows.
Gloves: Her fingerless gloves are lined with flint dust, allowing them to create sparks when brought together.
Fire Dispenser: Located on her wrist, this dispenses a sort of liquid flame that ignites when it comes into contact with the air. It isn't a flamethrower or anything largely dangerous, as it only releases small amounts and doesn't hold enough to be a threat of explosion. It's only enough to provide what she needs to perform her tricks, though she can use it to create something bigger.
Weakness: Her magic isn't as good as it often seems to viewers. Without her tricks, all she has is her moderate healing magic and her power level falls accordingly.
