His parents to the first chance they saw to punish him and rid themselves of the nuisance. They sent him into the nearby mountains with a traveling band of Shaolin monks.
At the tender age of twelve, the monk's lifestyle was nothing but a confusion to him. However for both mostly fear and a little respect, he did as they told him, and soon found enjoyment in the serenity of the temple.
After he turned fifteen, he gathered the courage he needed to ask the Head Monk to train in martial arts with the others. At first, he was notably bad at it. He was being beaten by those of a much younger age. He quickly began to ponder quitting, but had his confidence restored upon watching the other monks sparring. The too lost more, if not as many, matches as they won.
He started training harder as well as studying the inner workings of Chi and the soul. He mastered the skill of compressing chi into his punches and kicks at the age of twenty-one, and young age for the feat. With this he began to win more matches and catching more attention from his masters.
Shortly after he turned twenty-seven, while studying in the library, he stumbled across a secret passage into a secluded cove. In the cove sat a golden, jewel- encrusted pedestal, and upon the pedestal sat a large scroll. It was in a different language so he immediately started on a long road toward its translation.
Within a few months, he had it deciphered to the point he could read it. The scroll spoke of an occult ritual to remove the soul, then reattach it to the external surface of the body. This would supposedly amazingly increase his longevity, physical strength, and physical durability. He decided right away to attempt it.
Samuel pleaded with the monks to perform the ritual on him long and hard. After two years of constant begging, the finally agreed. They started the rites the next day and soon it was over with. The ritual did just as the scroll said it would, immediately Samuel felt the difference.
He gave a final bow to his previous masters and left the temple the next day. He was driven by his soul to wander across Asia and Europe to atone for his early sins for the rest of his life. He did so by vanquishing the unseen evils of the world and assisting the common man.
Over the years, in unison with his physical body, his soul began to strengthen and expand to the point it could be seen silhouetting his body. He noticed as he fought, that his soul gave off bursts of energy as he punched or kicked, a more powerful burst of chi than he had used before. He began to play and practice with this ability until he could form task- specific attacks with the energy.
As he used these attacks more and more, he ,as well as the locals from wherever he was, noticed a loud booming sound the impacts made. This was quickly regarded as his signal for defeating an enemy among the countries, earning him the nickname Dynne.
