Name: Evan Techno
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Lawful Good
Power Level: Mid-tier Medium (5)
Timeline: Steampunk
Appearance: Evan is of European descent, most clearly Russian, and his stocky build reflects this. He stands in at 6' 1" and has a very strong, muscular build, though not super-huge. He almost always has his bleach-blonde hair spiked back, though occasionally, a stubborn lock falls forward into the way of his ice-blue eyes. Given his role in the rebellion, he is almost always in his powermesh suit, looking similar to a kevlar body suit under a black trenchcoat and with almost oversized gloves that leave his fingers bare. The gloves are very solid, almost a solid metal, and have a disc that comes up over the back of his hand, then goes back, encasing the arms up to the elbow. When active for combat, metal plating like a gauntlet unfolds to protect the rest of his hands, as well.
Personality: Driven and dedicated, but also a serious tech-head. A complicated technical problem is about the only thing that can distract him from the task at hand, but it does it almost every time. When not under pressure, he's extremely friendly and easy-going, though not the most readily trusting. He's very proud of his creations and frequently overestimates their capabilities. He has a romantic interest in one of the major figures of the rebellion, Jade Pop.
History: Evan Techno was once a member of the Empire, working for Emperor Metal on weapons development and the like. He excelled at it, but his parents had always taught him about what it was like before the Empire, and he had a deep-seated hatred of what the Metal had done to Rhapsody.
He developed many theories on what the Emperor really was and eventually became certain that it was a war machine. So convinced, he concocted a virus that he then planned to infect it with, coming out in the open in rebellion in the process.
It failed catastrophically. Not only did the virus have no effect whatsoever, but Emperor Metal now knew his thoughts on the matter. He was forced to flee for his life and eventually met up with the present rebel faction. Jaded by his attempt, he frequently suffers doubts that the emperor can be killed, but he helps them all the same. If there is any hope for success, he now must take it. He has been left with no alternative.
Powers: Enhanced strength and toughness granted by his powermesh suit While active, it increases his power and toughness to ten times that of a normal human. He can also discharge an EM blast through the suit. Besides his own technological intellect, he has no other abilities.
Equipment: Just his Powermesh suit. It has a limited power supply that is drawn upon over the course of its activation. This supply can last for 45 minutes, after which time the suit automatically deactivates. Discharging an EM blast consumes five minutes worth of battery life. It can be recharged through almost any means, including solar and via outlet. Being in a sunny area while active doesn't give him an unlimited energy supply, though, as the drain is higher than what it takes to recharge. It takes roughly twenty minutes of solar charge time while the suit is deactivated to replenish five minutes of battery time. More direct currents, such as an outlet, offer a more exact ratio, roughly seven minutes for five minutes of battery time, and if he is plugged in, he can run the suit for far longer. This isn't really feasible, of course, as that means he's stuck to a cord in battle.
He can develop other gadgets over the course of an RP, but these take time and are likely for a very specific purpose, rather than for general combat.
Weakness: He is vulnerable to the same things as a normal human and without his powermesh, he is only Mid-tier Low (2) in power. For the vulnerabilities of his suit, please see the equipment section.
