Name: Camille (Pronounced Ca-mill-ah, rather than the traditional Ca-meel)
Age: Twenties
Gender: None
Race: Human - Convert en Passant
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Power Level: Low-tier Medium (4) to Low-tier High (7) depending on the setting of the limiter.
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: Camille is entirely androgynous, making it impossible to tell if it is an extremely effeminate man or a very flat woman, and its outfit rarely helps. Even the name, Camille, is a unisex name meaning Attendant.
It has well-brushed, well-washed blonde hair that falls freely past the shoulders to just below the bottom of the shoulder blades and has a small-featured face with green eyes. It has a soft skin complexion and plush, but not large lips that are a healthy but undecorated pink. Its ears lack lobes, but one small gem is attached to the right ear. On the left side of the forehead is a metal plate roughly an inch and a half tall by two inches wide that goes from the temple to above the outside of the eye. What almost looks like a hairband goes over the hair, holding the strands out of the way of the face, but it seems attached much like the plate and seems to be made of the same materials. Together, these two objects form Camille's mental limiter.
It's slender form is often wrapped in a semi-form-fitting robe of somewhat thin material that consists of a vest-like top with sleeves that resemble fabric wrapped over and over down the length of the arms and held in place by rings that slip over the middle finger on either hand. The bottom is a simple dress-like base over tight-like pants so that the impression is neither effeminate nor masculine. The color of the clothes vary, but Camille's personal preference leans toward the brighter colors, such as yellow, light purple, pink, orange and red.
Personality: Camille is often very sensible, approaching things from a logical, rational perspective, but at the same time, it is very empathetic, understanding the feelings of others and feeling them, itself. This gives Camille the sense of being very caring for others without the tendency to become overly attached.
History: Half a decade ago, Camille was abducted from Earth by the Korag and made a slave. Because of an irritable Hunter, it was marked off to be a Convert out of spite. After the humans were brought out of stasis, however, they immediately revolted violently. While the others attacked their captors, however, Camille simply stared directly at the one in charge, looking down at it all from the stairs. She was the Madame Select and she caught its gaze, holding it for a few moments until she was certain that it was meant for her. Intrigued, she stepped down into the chaos toward Camille and addressed it. She recognized the look as the look of one who would rebel, but had an eye of a bigger picture, an eye on the prize, she called it, and said that it fascinated her. She bid Camille to follow her, and it did.
The Madame Select saw to it that Camille was tested in various ways and the human proved surprisingly astute. While it served as a Convert, the Madame Select sought Camille the en Passant status and eventually gained it. It wasn't long before Camille was researching mental expansion through genetic alteration, and not long after that before it was applying that research to itself.
On one level, the procedure was a success. Camille was able to unlock the entire rest of the power of its brain, far beyond the meager 5% a normal human utilized. Unfortunately, there was a nasty side-effect. The closer it got to 100%, the more unstable its physical form would become due to the state of existence at 100% brain power of pure energy. Thus, Camille then built its limiter to prevent it from going beyond a safe limit. The limiter can still be adjusted, however. Typically, when Camille wants to turn its powers "off" for whatever reason, it turns it down to 10% permitted brain power, and for its lower level psionic powers, 25% is sufficient.
Powers:
Telekinesis - Even with the power turned down to 10%, Camille is still capable of moving small things like pens and marbles. At 25%, it can throw an adult human. At 50%, it can throw a car. At 75%, it can hypothetically rip down an entire building. 75% is its Low-tier High Power Level setting. Camille's telekinesis can also be used to disrupt the air directly before it to form a protective barrier. The strength of the barrier also depends on the setting of the limiter.
Telepathy - At 10%, this power is almost nonexistent, capable only of directly broadcasting to a single individual. This becomes active telepathy at 25%, gains the capability to make suggestions at 50% and can dominate the minds of others at 75%.
Equipment:
Mental Limiter - The device attached to Camille's head that limits its psionic abilities. The degree of limitation can be altered, but only by a direct voice command and only from Camille. Even a perfect voice synthesizer won't work. The typical format of the command is, "Limiter Conduction Level --%"
MP Sidearm - A standard Korag pistol, capable of energy discharges from the primary barrel (not to be confused with lasers or plasma, and traveling roughly the speed of a normal bullet, though without as much dropping power). It can also fire a grappling hook from a secondary barrel directly beneath the main one. The grapple line has a range of thirty feet. The pistol can fire fifteen shots before needing time to recharge. The charging sequence is automatic and takes roughly 20 seconds without firing.
Weakness: At the limiter's lowest setting, Camille is little more than rather fragile human, and at any setting, its psionic abilities do nothing to augment its physical capabilities, such as physical strength and endurance.
