"If she wants me to leave, I will, but you have no say." He clapped his hands together. "Nin, Kai, Boka! Perhaps this will cool your temper." A flood of water surged from around his feet and shot at the elemental in the form of a wall of water.

"Get over yourself!" he shouted in reply as he threw his hands down to the ground, fire erupting in a similar wall that would crash against Cadaervec's, canceling it out and reducing it to nothing but steam.

"Thou would INSULT me? I'll tear the unseeing eyes from your peasant head!"
The woman's polite smile was starting to look false around the edges, her patience wearing thin. She kept her eyes faithfully on Caelus. "But this is none of your business. Kindly find someone else to bother."

"Haha! Ahahahahaha-!" The bench stopped suddenly and twisted up on itself, broke...

"Well, this is all very awkward for me." The child stood away from the respective waves, watching both go up in steam. "I don't wanna hurt anybody's feelings, and the longer we all stand here, the more likely something'll happen that nobody'll like."

"Then point me in the right direction and I'll happily be on my way. As it stands, I have no idea where I am or where the nearest town and or mage is; were I to leave now, I'd probably end up returning in any case." By this point, Aelius had folded his arms and allowed himself to extend the time he blinked while he was speaking in order to keep from becoming visibly frustrated.

They pointed in unison, the vampire still within the shade of her parasol and the griffon with a yellow talon. West.
West didn't seem very promising, it moved away from the stream and into darker forest that one couldn't see more than a few trees deep into.

With a casual wave goodbye, Caelus turned towards the darker end of the forest, removing his glasses again and checking his pockets to make sure everything was sealed up; wouldn't do to have anything fall out of his pockets during a fight; horrendously unstylish.

"I don't like him trying to zap me just because I don't like him," Hothead answered back, "but if you've got another idea while he's shooting at me, I'd love to hear it."

*Bench near True*
Aden flinched upon hearing the bench breaking, and opened his eyes. He stared at the bench in disbelief, torn between the release of stress that the impossible horror had ceased to be and shock at the impossible way that the impossible bench came to its end. Shock and awe came up out top and Aden stood stupefied before the broken mess.
"Stop screwing with me!" Aden cried out in a welling up of fear and emotion.

As he walked, Caelus started to make out some weird moaning from the noise of the birds. When he walked further, he could pick it out more clearly as a child singing.

The girl shrugged. "I think problems should be solved with diplomacy when possible."
Then True laughed, like she'd just heard the greatest joke since "What did the ocean say to the other ocean?"

The bench twisted further, miserably, on the ground. It twisted up, and spiraled up, and wound tighter on itself. It started to rise, writhing, breaking further, until it was just taller than Aden. It snapped out two arms, and something like a head, the rest of it just an iron and old wood dress.
"Helloooo!" It crowed. "We never got to the good part last time."

"... I sea you," Terry answered flatly. "I've got a little cousin that tells that one all the time. Thinks it's the funniest thing in the whole world ..."

Aden stared blankly at the bench, and said without thought, "Last..time?"

The girl stomped her foot. "No! It didn't say anything, it just waved! Mogg! Your cousin's retarded!"

"You don't remember me?" It quizzed. "Oh, I suppose you wouldn't. Phooey. You don't remember Bianca? Or Monica? Whatever her name was. Red dress, gun? And then she turned into a old dude?"

"I'd be inclined to agree with you." The teen looked down at the icon as it began to blink red. A moment and a flash of light later, he was standing there as Terry once more.

Cadaervec took the instant Terry had changed as the ultimate time to attack. Within the blink of an eye, Cadaervec was behind him holding one arm with one tentacle and the other with another. "Now what, boy? No shapeshifting for you. ik would have killed you if it wasn't for the fact that you are so obviously trying to defend the Earth, which is one of my own goals. You wouldn't know it from looking at me, but this is my home world." He dropped the boy down to eye level with him. "Now, if you will just keep to your own affairs until I can decipher what True... erm Veritas... whatever her name is is talking about, we won't have any more quarrels. Leave me to my business of paying a debt and I'll leave you to do whatever it is that you do."

But Terry just grinned. "Who said I had to touch it?" he asked, and as if on cue, the wheel on the watch spun up yet again. In the inevitable moment during which Cadaervec would have doubted his indomitable hold on the human, Terry stomped on his board, causing it to flip up and strike the face of the watch, shoving it down.
As the glow engulfed the boy once more, Cadaervec found that he had less and less hold on him as his quarry grew larger and larger, until the grip no longer meant anything at all. It was Metal Head who, now towering above him, leaned down to face the demon with his one red eye. "You and I are going for a little ride," his metallic voice boomed, and before the half-demon could cover anywhere near enough ground to get out of range, one large hand reached down and grasped him about the middle, engulfing him entirely. The metallic creature gained many more stories even as he stood, then reared back, spun his arm about and let loose, throwing Caedervec like a fast ball which would soar all the way out of sight, miles and miles away.
