Personality: Mahoro has a split personality depending on who she is at the time. When Mahoro becomes Mink, she is very professional and serious but rather anti social. As Mink she will not talk to you unless you either speak to her or are someone she knows. Her seriousness as Mink is to a point where she will almost completely ignore any personal feelings for someone unless the situation calls for it or the two are completely alone and out of the public’s eye. However when Mahoro is Mahoro she is generally friendly to anyone she knows. She is a bit shy and will most likely not start a conversation with a total stranger unless it is necessary.
Favorite food: Pizza
History: Mahoro comes from a long line of female spell casters said to date back to the 1600s. It is also said that Mahoro is related to a spell caster that was so evil that 10 other spell casters sealed his magical powers within him to force him to live for 1000 years to deal with the evil he caused. Unknown to Mahoro is that she is related to this person and that this person has watched over her family all this time from the shadows. Unlike her past relatives, Mahoro’s family was not evil. Since her great grandma, Mahoro’s family used their magical powers for good. However, it was her grandmother that became the family’s first super hero. Mahoro’s mother and Mahoro followed in the now growing tradition of becoming super heroes. The biggest difference was that there was now the United States of America Hero League. Mahoro’s mother was one of the first 20 members in the League when it started, but since having Mahoro has mostly stuck to training new super heroes. Mahoro has never met her father and has no idea who he is. Her High Velocity Invulnerability Armor was genetic gift from who ever he was. Although Mahoro has searched the Hero League database, no recorded hero or villain has a power similar to her High Velocity Invulnerability Armor. Mahoro joined the league when she was 16 but had some difficulties during her mandatory training period. Mahoro, although growing up with magical powers, still had some control issues and had some difficulties with her paper work. Another difficulty she was having was her team work skills. While in Training Mahoro, unlike some other trainees, stayed in character as Mink and would not tell anyone her name. As Mink, Mahoro was rather anti social and not well liked by some of the other trainees. To help Mahoro, the league assigned then trainee the Modern Swordsmen, back from an investigation where he ended killing his partner, to help her with her paper work. Mahoro found the Modern Swordsmen to be nice and eventually considered him a friend, not caring about his past. Since graduating Mahoro has constantly been reassigned to new cities.
Powers: Mahoro is a spell caster. Her powers are mostly magic based, of the hand kind. (She casts spells with her hands, not her mouth or just by thought. If you still don’t get it, go watch the first episode of Merlin the miniseries because that’s where I the idea from.). She can use all sorts of other magical spells (Such as Chants) but the spells listed here are the spells she has mastered. All other spells require the book.
Extended self: This spell is a simple combat spell that gives Mahoro extended physical attacks as if she was approximately 3 times her size and twice as powerful as her normal physical attacks. Although this spell extends her physical attacks, she can use it at point blank range. Also this spell works with all physical attacks from head to toe, not just her arms and legs. This spell cannot be used for blocking; only attacking. That does not mean that if something was flying at Mahoro and she was to throw and a few extended paunches to stop it, it wouldn’t stop. By no blocking, I mean that if she was to block something like a boxer blocks punch (Arm up, guarding the face), it wouldn’t work. A better way to put it is that this is not a shield. Once activated, this spell works with any willful (Meaning it doesn’t go off with every move she makes) physical attack (Meaning her body has to move to use it). While using this spell she cannot use any other kind of attack spell until she deactivates this one. When using this spell her attacks appear as ghostly (Smokey white) body parts, usually right before she is about to attack.
High Velocity Invulnerability Armor: Mahoro can generate a field of energy that gives her invulnerability to high velocity damage. However, it doesn’t make her completely invincible. This field of energy is more like a bullet proof vest. It prevents a bullet from killing its target but it does cause some harm to the target. In other words, this armor will prevent any serious harm from anything high velocity such as bullets, arrows, energy weapons, a bomb blasts. However, some of the force of those things will still be applied to Mahoro. Another way to put it is, if a bullet was to be fired at Mahoro, the armor would stop the bullet, but a fraction force of the bullet would then transfer to Mahoro in the form of a good punch. Meaning the bullet would still hurt Mahoro but far less. This also means that you can still kill Mahoro with a gun, but it would be like beating her to death with your hands. The armor can only stop things like bullets and bomb blasts. Meaning if a person was to get up close with a knife, the armor would have no effect. Lastly, this armor is formed within an inch of her skin. Meaning all non tight fitting clothing would take damage and if said clothing was to be set ablaze by one of these attacks, it would harm Mahoro. This power is not activated and is always on, even in her sleep.
Lighting/Stun Lighting: A simple elemental spell that require some charging by Mahoro to determine how powerful the attack will be. Mahoro charges this spell by rubbing her hands together. To release this spell Mahoro simply stops and points either of her hands towards her intended target. In a quick flash, a lighting strike/beam/whatever will be emitted from Mahoro’s palm. If Mahoro concentrates enough she can make the attack stun someone instead of killing someone. However even a quick charge has enough power to knock someone on their ass. The range of this spell is anywhere between point blank and one mile (Depending on the charge). Mahoro can charge up a shot of this spell in each of her hands. However Mahoro can only fire one at a time and after doing so she will have to wait 5 minutes before she can charge up another lightning attack. The down time for this spell only applies if she charges up two ranged shots. Meaning if she quickly charges two point blank tazer like shots, the down time won’t apply. This spell can also be used like a defibrillator.
Wind Blast: A spell that causes the air around Mahoro to be fired like the exhaust on a jet towards whatever direction she chooses without moving Mahoro. This spell is more of an instant and has very little charge time on it. Because of the speed in which this spell can be used, the longer Mahoro uses it the more energy it drains from Mahoro. The power of this blast of wind can range from a simple gust to lifting a school bus off the ground and sending it flying backward. This spell forces Mahoro to be stationary (Not moving) while the wind is blowing. However at any time Mahoro can stop the spell if need be.
1-2-3 FIRE!: This is a close range instant combustion spell. To use this Spell Mahoro has to say “One, Two, Three, Fire”. When speaking there has to be a slight pause between the words or it doesn’t work. Meaning she can’t just rush through the words at lightning speed to have it work. The time it takes to cast this spell is approximately 4 seconds however the pause can be up to a minute between each word. After speaking the last word “Fire” the object or area of a person’s body that she is looking at will suddenly burst into flames, starting at whatever point her eyes are focusing on. This spell will not work if Mahoro is blindfolded, can’t see, or has beer goggles/distorted vision. The fire burst is small and does not engulf a person instantly. It instead starts a small fire on a part of a person’s body. The fire can only complete engulf ones forearm. If the person it is to be used on yells “fire” before Mahoro, the spell is canceled out.
Unhappy Weight Gain: This is another simple speaking/chant spell like “1-2-3 FIRE!” but is a curse. This curse, on its own, can’t do more than cause pain in ones limbs and joints. The spell caster has to say “Your [limb/body part] must weigh [increment of weight]”. After which the words are spoken, the limb/body part will feel as though it weighs as much as indicated. The weight applied to said limb/body part just magical happens without the person being able to see it. Meaning if the spell caster was to say “Your left foot must weigh a ton”, their foot will not sudden become huge, fat, muscular, and in fact won’t change its appearance at all. This curse can cause someone to be weighted down without causing much harm to them. A drawback to this spell is that if used on a jet/airplane, it can cause the jet/airplane to crash if too much weight is applied. This drawback applies to more than aircraft, such as if it was to be casted while high up on a building, the person could bring the whole building down if not crash through all the floors. This spell can be changed by simply recasting it on someone. This curse has to be dispelled by another spell caster, the spell caster who casted the spell, or the spell caster who casted it has to die. For this spell to work, Mahoro has to be looking at the person she is casting it on. Also the person it is casted on has to hear the spell. That doesn’t mean they have to be paying attention, it just means they have to be able to hear it. This spell can be cancelled out during casting by other loud noises such as gun fire and music. Lastly, this spell doesn’t work if the person is submerged under water.
Cat Step: As the saying goes, Cat’s always land on their feet. Mahoro has the magical ability to create a small invisible platform that will instantly slow her decent from falling to where she can land on her feet without hurting herself. Mahoro managed to learn this ability from the cat girl super hero Kade.
Dispel: One of the most important spells any spell caster can know. This spell can cancel out almost any magical spell from unsummoning monster summons to turning off the +1 strength.
Bingo: Bingo is a transformation spell that enhances Mahoro’s appearance (I.E. more of an hourglass shaped body). This spell is more of a hindrance than an advantage because in this form Mahoro can only use her extended self attack spell, Cat Step, and Dispel (Note: Mahoro’s High Velocity Invulnerability Armor is still on while this is active). Mahoro can willfully transform into this form at any time with little effort. This form is actually one of Mahoro’s weaknesses as she can transform into this form on accident. If Mahoro looses her concentration or someone manages to reverse or cancel out any of Mahoro’s attack spells, the magical backfire is this form. This from was caused by Mahoro casting too many love spells on someone she has a crust on, and not fulfilling the requirements, such as getting a date, kiss, hug, or sex. While in this form Mahoro is able to casts some strange love and body modification based spells that she could not normally cast without a book. These love and body modification based spells can be placed on other people and not just Mahoro. The affects of these spells can last anywhere between 2 hours and 2 years. If true love happens to blossom from the affects of these spells, the spells can become permanent. To dispel Mahoro from this form, all it takes is for someone to kiss her on the lips (A quick peck will do) whether they love her or hate her. However if no one kisses Mahoro, this form won’t automatically dispel for 2 hours. The auto dispel can be reset, trapping Mahoro in this form for another 2 hours, if someone was to simply group Mahoro’s breasts (both of them at the same time).
Bingo spells (NOTE: these spells can be combined. Also Mahoro has to see and be looking at the person she is casting these spells on or they won’t work.):
Love me: This spell causes a person to become greatly infatuated with someone to the point where they will jump on the person (glomp) and start kissing them. If the person it is casted on has any feelings for the target of their affection (Besides hate), then the spell becomes almost impossible to resist. Also while Love me is casted on someone, that person will not be able to even think of harming the target of their affection. While this spell is casted, it does not mean that the person will have any sexual feelings for that person. The sexual feelings have to come natural if not by another spell. Even so, while this spell is in affect they will be unable to even think of raping the target of their affection. If the person this spell is casted on is caused a good size deal of pain (from say a being stabbed with a knife) the spell’s affects will be halted as long as the pain lasts. This spell is activated by simply poking the person it is going to be casted on, followed by poking the person who will be the target of their affection with the same hand. This spell can be casted on two people at the same time without turning it into a love square. However this spell can be used to make two people fall for the same person. This spell also doesn’t work on female targets that are pregnant or currently on their period. Also this spell does not work on anyone who is intoxicated by either drugs or alcohol (Not including nicotine or having taken some medicine). Being under the influence of alcohol (Not necessarily drunk) will temporarily stop the spell as long as alcohol is in the targets system and not under the affects of a hangover (Hangovers also temporarily stop the spell). Lastly, any mind altering drug besides nicotine (smokes) will instantly turn the spell off, including ecstasy/X.
In heat: This spell causes any person it is casted on to feel like an animal in heat during mating season. This spell can be resisted by taking an ice cold shower or bath. Although the effects of the spell will return within a few hours after your body warms up. Bone braking pain is the only way to halt the affects. This spell will lasts minimum of 24hours and a maximum of 168 hours or until the sexual need is satisfied with a mate (Meaning the feeling isn’t going to go away all by yourself, or do I need to elaborate more?). This spell does not work on anyone who is intoxicated by either drugs or alcohol (Not including nicotine or having taken some medicine). This spell also doesn’t work on female targets that are pregnant or currently on their period. In Heat is activated by Mahoro bringing her hands up and together side by side, followed by closing them as if she is gripping something.
Asset Enhancement: This spell allows for Mahoro to temporarily enhance the size and shape of any body part on anyone, including herself. This spell lasts only 3 hours, after which the body part(s) will return to their normal size. There is no way to prevent this spell when cast on a target, unless that person has a magical shield against status based spells. This spell can be dispelled at anytime by the one who casted the spell. If any other magic user besides the one who casted the spell tries to dispel this spell, the time the spell lasts will reset and the enhancement will increase in size by 1 inch. For this spell to work Mahoro has to touch whatever “asset” she is enhancing (Skin contact not required). However the level of touch is as significant as a poke. The rate of growth depends on how long Mahoro is touching the “asset”. If she pokes it, it will grow slowly. If she grabs onto it, it will grow quickly. This spell can be reversed, causing it to be casted on Mahoro, if the target simply touches the same body Mahoro just touched on them while still in the growth stage of the spell.
Skills:
Hand to Hand Combat: Mahoro is highly skilled in hand to hand combat.
Acrobat: Mahoro is rather flexible and has the agility and skills of a circus acrobat.
Weapons/equipment:
A black utility belt around her waist that holds 4 pairs of handcuffs place along her back, 6 black plastic hand ties placed along the whole left side of her hip (They blend with the belt and not just hang off of it), and a pouch that contains a small communication device.
Weaknesses: Sonic (sound) based attacks. Hitting Mahoro with a stun grenade or concussion grenade that emits a loud enough “bang” will render her unconscious. Other loud noise such as putting Mahoro next to a speaker and cranking it up to 11 will put Mahoro in a kind of drunken daze in which her vision is blurred and she is unable to use her powers. Gun shots, below .50 caliber anti tank and anti armor, will not affect her unless placed right next to her ears.
Bingo: See Bingo under powers for details.
Bad Habits:
Setting fire to the kitchen: Mahoro is lousy cook when it comes to cooking anything besides nuclear/frozen pizza, left over pizza, or just about any food that you can nuke in the microwave without causing it to blow up or catch fire. Mahoro is a bit blissful over the fact that anytime she tries to make a non microwave meal, she sets fire to the kitchen. Because of Mahoro and other super heroes with this bad habit, the Hero League now teaches a simple cooking class during the mandatory training period.
Unhappy Weight Gain curse: Mahoro when bored or angered at someone will often use her Unhappy Weight Gain curse on someone. Sometimes to comedic effect, other times to just be cruel. Her favorite target is women’s breast, usually women who have bigger breast than her. Even other heroes in the league may suddenly notice a few extra unexplainable pounds added to a body part or two if not some unbearable back pain.
Relationships:
El Wray (The Modern Swordsmen): El Wray and Mahoro met each other when they were in training for the hero league. Mahoro and El Wray became somewhat of friends when El Wray was assigned to help Mahoro with her case reports and general paper work, something El Wray excelled at. These study session and lunch were about all the time the two spent with each other as friends. Later and after the two had graduated training, Mahoro was assigned in a team leader position in a city that didn’t have a lot of super hero needed crime. Mahoro ended up being in charge of one person, El Wray, the only other super hero in the city. It was during a mission in which a group of highly trained and heavily armed individuals decided to rob a bank that Mahoro ended up experiencing her first kiss. As the bank was being robbed, some of the robbers engaged in a massive shoot out with the police. El Wray made it to the scene before Mahoro and instead of rushing in and setting the place a blaze; he watched the robbers’ tactics and helped put out fires caused by rockets and grenades. Once Mahoro made it there, she didn’t waste time and made a “B” line for the bank. Mahoro was then hit with a 40mm stun grenade square in the chest which knocked her out. El Wray rushed in and carried Mahoro out of the area. Mahoro’s vitals had dropped to a point where it seemed as though her heart had stopped and she stopped breathing. Without hesitation El Wray started CPR on Mahoro. Mahoro soon awoke to El Wray breathing air into her lungs. Instead of being repulsed, Mahoro found it to be romantic and started to French kiss El Wray and pulled him in closer. El Wray on the other hand was shocked by this and quickly pulled away from Mahoro. Deciding to let it pass as gratefulness for saving her life, El Wray left to help apprehend the bank robbers. Mahoro on the other hand fallen deeply in love with El Wray, even after a picture of her with her arms around El Wray and kissing him was shown in the paper the next day with the title of “Making out on the job” with a sub heading of “Just what are the Hero League doing in our city?”. El Wray continued to brush the kiss off as love blinded by false pretences and that were caused by Mahoro almost dieing. However, Mahoro became somewhat stalker like obsessed with El Wray. Mahoro went as far as to use magical spells to give her some kind of advantage that El Wray would be interested in her. El Wray on the other hand only gave off the impression that she was just his teammate and nothing more. In truth, El Wray was staying away from her due to the fact she was still considered a minor at the time. Before long, Mahoro was transferred while El Wray continued to work in that city. Mahoro still has feelings for El Wray and wants to work with him in hopes that he will eventually see past her as a teammate. El Wray has not forgotten about Mahoro but has stuck to the belief that Mahoro’s feelings are false and that she is just not thinking straight. However, El Wray has thought about asking Mahoro out on a date to see if he is wrong or to simply help Mahoro get over her crush.
Kade: Mahoro and Kade were both assigned to Kings City. Within minutes of meeting Kade, Mahoro couldn’t resist touching Kade’s ears and snuck up behind her and started to rub them. Kade went limp and ended up falling back into Mahoro’s arms. Strangely, the two instantly became friends then. The two spent a lot of time together when not fighting crime, as if Mahoro was now Kade’s loving owner. Some of the other super heroes in Kings City started to think the two were lovers as Kade was often seen having her ears rubbed by Mahoro and the two were known to bathe together. In truth, Kade and Mahoro were just close friends. Unluckily, Mahoro was soon moved out of Kings City. The two keep in touch and Mahoro always volunteers for temporary assignments at Kings City when they become available.
