"I wanted to call myself the Bone Prince, but apparently, that was already taken, and for some reason, my friends insisted it wouldn't have fit me very well, anyway."
- Alex
Name: Alex Carter
Alias: The Bone Naga
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Race: Human, Mutant
Alignment: Neutral Good
Power Level: Mid-tier Medium
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: With a lithe, curvy body and a soft, delicately-featured face surrounded by white, feathersoft locks that fall down to the middle of his back with a combination of slightly spiky and slightly stray, it's no wonder he's commonly mistaken for a girl, especially when his body, right down to his firm buttocks, is the dream body of just about every female out there, sans his flat chest, of course.
Being born an albino doesn't help his case, as his pale, alabaster skin is smooth as velvet and his pinkish-red eyes are big and bright. Favoring pastel colors and tying his hair back in a ribbon when he's not in costume also doesn't help. These traits make him a favorite target when his female friends want a living barbie doll, though he doesn't cross-dress on his own.
When in costume, he wears a white bandana about his forehead to keep his hair up out of his face, since he doesn't tie it back during his nightly runs. His bodysuit is black spandex that hugs every feature of his body, with literal ribbing over the entire thing providing a measure of defense. These are actually produced by him, so they possess the same nigh-indestructible nature as his own bones. While on the chest, they curve in like ribs, they curl under his pectorals and go down at an angle toward the groin, then curl around like vines down his arms and legs, while leaving knuckle guards on the tops of his hands and segmented bone "soles" on the bottoms of his feet.
Personality: When Alex isn't fighting evil and ridding the streets of villains that prowl late at night, he's fond of cooking, cleaning and entertaining guests. He actually enjoys all three, which doesn't help his image much, and many of his friends jokingly call him Alexis, but he doesn't mind.
Relationship-wise, he isn't presently interested in anyone and considers himself largely nonsexual, content to keep to himself and lacking any particularly strong attraction to either gender. He's very close to his friends, however and is fond of spending time with them and hanging out. The activity doesn't particularly matter, and he is as happy watching football with male friends as he is going shopping with female friends, just so long as they're together.
When it comes to injustices, he finds them offensive, but understands that some do it because they must. Often, he'll let these go and try to make suggestions so they won't have to in the future. Recurring thieves, he comes to know by name and with those that don't actually want that sort of life, he becomes on very good terms with, usually talking them out of it rather than having to actively restrain them. He ranks the importance of helping people higher than just enforcing the law, and has spent just as many nights doing nothing more important than helping the old woman down the street with her groceries or her cat, the latter always somehow managing to find its way into a tree, then listening to her talk about the good old days late into the night as he has actually addressing criminal activity. This results in his superhero identity being well-liked and well-received in his city, and knowing many on a first-name basis.
History: Alex led a comparatively normal life growing up, though he largely had to keep himself covered and only go out at night due to his albinoism, but for the most part, he was happy and healthy. His parents encouraged his hobbies and his mother, who always wanted a daughter, was happy to teach her son all of her favorite recipes. While he loved his father dearly and would do anything for him, he was always closer to his mother, a trait his old man respected and permitted without interruption.
It didn't really all change when he turned fifteen two years ago, but life did become a lot more interesting, as that was when his powers first surfaced. His parents, both normal humans, didn't really know what to do for their son, but they were happy he was gifted and they did what they could, encouraging him to practice (though also encouraging caution, just in case), and when things got more advanced, encouraging him to practice outside. Now, two years later, they know about his double identity as the Bone Naga and are proud of their son for doing such great things with his powers.
Powers:
Local Osteokinesis - His major power, Alex is a master of manipulating his own bones in any manner he can imagine. There really is no particular limit to the variety of applications.
Bone Density - As a side-effect of his powers, Alex's bones are super-hard and nigh-indestructible.
Fluid Flesh - While his skin isn't actually a liquid, some chemical process causes it to flow out around any bony protrusions he makes, then fill back in when they retract, resulting in an unblemished skin. This also makes any cuts he receives seal over immediately, but any damage inside still has to heal normally.
Equipment: Just what he makes with his powers.
Weakness: His physical abilities, bone density and flesh aside, are pretty normal. He's particularly agile and quick, but no more so than an athletic human. He's also self-taught in combat, which makes him vulnerable to a more experienced fighter. Also, his fluid flesh, while keeping him from bleeding out, makes internal bleeding a higher threat than for someone who would.
