Name: Jia’Shin (Gee-Ah-Sheen) ‘Jiji’ Ulicard-Johnson
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Deva- An immortal race, though not invulnerable. Deva are humanoids who when they die are reborn after a generation or two. They usually have all of the memories from their lifetimes, though memories do fade after a while. They are spotted, in a black and white fashion, though the spotting varies per person.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Power Level: 4
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: Jia’Shin is an odd Deva, having only one spot for this lifetime. This spot is located as a patch of gray along his jaw bone giving the appearance of having a 5o’clock shadow. Jia’Shin is otherwise an off white person, darker than the albino from Powder, but whiter than most of the pale Emo musicians. Jia’Shin is usually seen wearing loose and flowing clothes made from satin or silk, preserved from his last life. He prefers to wear darker earthy tones such as browns and greens, and his most worn style is a pair of dress slacks with a dark brown woven belt, a dark undershirt, and a long sleeved button up over it with the sleeves rolled and the buttons undone. To go with the dress slacks he generally wears black socks and a pair of leather boots that can pass as dress shoes if necessary, but still provide the ability to hike should occasion cal for it.
Personality: Jia’Shin is wiser than his age, stemming from the lifetimes of living. In this life he has a fascination towards techno, wants to become a scientist, and has short fuse for stupid behavior. While usually quiet and with a low sense of self worth, Jia’Shin takes pride in his ability to call on knowledge most never know of.
History: Jia’Shin Ulicard remembers most of his lifetimes he thinks, which helped him excel in school. He was reborn and adopted by regular humans before a pairDeva parents could get to him, resulting in the now hyphenated Ulicard Johnson name he carries. They raised him in a small suburban area, where nothing happened. The place he lived at had the biggest event in the past fifty years, which was when Jia’Shin broke his arm during a baseball injury. After he finished eighth grade, the family moved to the city where Jia’Shin’s adopted father gained a promotion to an executive for Bank of America. Jia’Shin finished out high school with a group of friends, where he would use a synthesizer and play techno, and the group would B-Boy. While it was an enjoyable part time job, it would not help pay for college, which is why Jia’Shin went to a Deva family and had them set up an account which he could access once he turned eighteen. Jia’Shin graduated and went straight into a two year college, getting a Bachelor’s Degree in media, which he used to apply for a job at a studio company. He got laid off a couple months ago when the company went sour, and is looking into getting a science degree soon.
Powers: Memories of a thousand lives: Jia’Shin is able to retain memories after he is reborn. He can access these at any time, though it may be out to date. An example of this is Jia’Shin’s last life was as a plumber when indoor plumbing first became popular. While he does have knowledge and ability to be a plumber once more, the information is sorely out of date for many modern plumbing appliances. The biggest application of this is that Jia’Shin has highly capable mental defenses.
Magical Powers: Though severely weakened, Jia’Shin does have enough magic in him to use certain powers. The main form of this is illusionary to give him normal skin tone. Because this life was not intended for magic, the most offensive magic the Deva can perform is setting a torch on fire after a minute of intense concentration. This is a far cry from his sorceress days a millennium ago.
Weapon Knowledge: While not fit for it, Jia’Shin does remember and can teach the fighting styles and other ways of how to use a variety of weapons, though any weapon newer than a flintlock rifle are a mystery to him.
Survival Knowledge: After more than two millennia of living, Jia’Shin believes himself to be capable of living in the wilderness should he need to, though he would prefer the comforts of society and the city.
Equipment: Jia’Shin tends to carry his synthesizer in it’s care strapped to his back. Depending on the situation and if he has enough time, Jia’Shin will try and bring a weapon he can use, though he is able to improvise with rocks and sticks.
Weakness: Despite the knowledge he has and the lifetimes he has lived, Jia’Shin is still very self conscious and is easily led to believing he is not worth anything. He also has a short fuse for dealing with idiocy. Aside from the mental and emotional weakness, Jia’Shin is still human, and should he die it will be anywhere from a hundred to five hundred years before he is reborn.
