Name: Shade (It liked how this name simply sounded cool to it.)
Age: Ageless as far as can tell.
Race: Doppelganger
Power Level: 4
Appearance: Generally it appears to be a grayish blob/ooze.
Personality: Bubbly and cheerful, as well as very playful. Definately hasn't gotten 'wiser with
age'. It retains the same personality even after taking the appearance of some one else, doesn't even
try to mimic the original's personality. Easily distracted when there isn't something trying to kill
it so conversations generally rarely stay on a single topic for long. Also leads to a very curious
nature.
History: It's been living as a gray blob forever. There really isn't much as its impossible to keep
its attention on this subject for more than a sentence or two.
Equipment: Whatever the mimiced subject has.
Powers: Transformation~ Able to transform into anyone or anything. Be it living, dead, human, or animal. It's able to copy every last detail (Even if the opponent is stronger than Shade, it also
copies their power level making itself quite possibly as true a clone of them as can be) of
what/whoever it becomes except the personality. It never could understand how to get the personality
part down.
Ressurrection~ This isn't true rise from the dead kind of stuff. This power really only lets it
survive a single deathly attack/blow (only capable of use while in blob form, and then only once
between transformations). It relies heavily on this power for it is the main ingrediant behind his
perfect transformation ability. Without using this right beforehand, all he can copy is the
appearance and a very weak version of it's opponents powers. This power only works once between each
transformation. So basically his formula for becoming a near perfect copy requires it to recieve a
'sample' of the target's power, 'revive' itself, then use its aquired 'sample' to copy every aspect
of the target to become an exact replica.
Shade comes with very high resistances to just about everything when in it's blob form.
Weakness: The Ressurrection power of it's is basically the only weakness. Depending on the quickness
of the opponent, they could easily stop Shade from transforming after using this power, if they
notice it happen in the first place that is. After transforming, it aquires the weaknessess of the
target. Finally, it doesn't come with full knowledge of the target's powers, so it doesn't know
exactly how to use them until it has viewed the power being used. This leads to it taking on a sort
of passive/defensive style in a fight.
Ya, thats right. I made a doppelganger. And to me, it sounds like a rather interesting take on the race. This thing's got a more support character kind of feel to it to me and thats kinda how I thought of using it.
