Name: Khepri aka "Flower"
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Race: Mermaid
Alignment: Chaotic Good, "Rebel"
Power Level: 4
Timeline: Medieval
Appearance: Flower is a natural beauty even among mermaids, with billowing dark gold hair and ruby red eyes that make her sultry gaze enchanting but sometimes a bit frightening as well. What truly makes her stand out, though, is her unusually long, fuchsia-colored tail. The scales of which are much larger and somewhat harder than normal with outward-flaring edges that resemble flower pedals and also inspired her nickname.

Personality: Flower is bold as brass, embracing every opportunity to experience new things, though often with little or no thought of the consequences. Her curiosity and boisterous manner sometimes makes it difficult for her to focus on serious matters and can easily become distracted if something sparks her interest. She is always eager to make new friends and thrives on being the center of attention. Nevertheless, there are times when she can become very childish if she's denied something she wants, and other times she will only follow rules if given an incentive to do so. Often in the form of special treats.
History: Being tank raised almost from the time she was a baby, Flower has no firsthand knowledge of the outside world. Being so spoiled has put her at a disadvantage. She has never hunted for herself or experienced life in the wild, and while eager to learn she could very well give up if the task becomes too difficult, preferring instead to return to the safety and comfort of her aquarium exhibit, despite how important is that she learn the ways of a true mermaid.
Flower is believed by many experts to be the last representative of the Coral Bloom Clan, a clan that was once believed to actively cultivate the growth of new coral reefs all along the west cost of Amphora. However, not a single mermaid had been sighted in the area for decades until baby flower was discovered by marine biologist Abigale Thatch at a public auction.
Dr. Thatch made the winning bid. Though she was unable to track down whoever the auctioneer had originally bought her from, she returned with Flower to the Zaftran Oceanographic Institute and became one of several doting foster-mothers. Other mermaids displayed at the institute's adjoining aquarium raised Flower like their own daughter, doing their best to raise her to know who they were as mermaids and where they came from.
Unlike her foster-parents, however, Flower had no mistrust of humanity and perhaps it was all the years spent close to humans that enabled her to reach out to Ian and break the silence between their two peoples. When asked to join him on his expedition, she literally lept at the chance and helps to lend some much needed credibility to Ian's diplomatic missions among the clans.
However, Flower is also very protective of him, jealously guarding the young doctor from all but her own amorous advances. Indeed, it seems that during Flower's adolescence, spent isolated from the life energies of the ocean, her reproductive instincts never fully manifested themselves. Now that she has been plunged back into the wild however, Flower has felt herself come alive with unexplainable urges. A somewhat confusing but not unpleasant dilemma that is encouraging news for the future of her clan.
Powers:
Naturally telepathic.
Incredibly fast and agile swimmer.
Equipment: None.
Weakness: Sometimes stubborn and often reckless. She is ignorant of many of the wild's dangers and difficulties, and though she has the natural strength of a mermaid, she has never had to fight for her life before.
