Name: Victor "Tetra" Thompson
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Power Level: 4 or 5(not exactly sure...)
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: He is a stocky, brutish looking man with muscles that look like they come from either farm work or intense training because they are also well-tanned. This is amplified by the fact that he constantly wears his motorcycle riding apparel (Black leather vest over a white T-shirt, black leather chaps over a pair of blue jeans, and some black boots.)wherever he goes. His bald head and bearded face suggests that he is one for fighting, and this is on book whose cover tells plenty.
Personality: He is gruff and sour like one could expect a very, very old man to be even though he hasn't broken the half-century mark. He was hardened by his Muy Thai training that he received in Thailand for winning a tournament in America when he was young, and his cold demeanor shows his inner emotional strength.
History: Tetra's outstanding career in Midnight Blue begins with a slight defect as a child. It would end up making him one hell of a fighter. He had a normal youth, school, homework, and the like. His first hint that he would be a fighter was at age twelve when he first got in a schoolyard fight with an older boy who had been picking on him the whole year. He easily routed the boy and for the rest of the day he marveled over the rush of adrenaline he got from winning the fight.
When he got home he feigned injury and asked that he be enrolled in the Muy Thai dojo that had just opened in town. His overprotective mother agreed of course and he was well into his training within weeks. Naturally he excelled at the art and saw it as a competition to impress his master. Seven years later he was an impressive figure. Not too tall but muscular enough to assure no one said anything to him about it. It was at this time that his master started entering him into tournaments. He won one after another and after one in particular he was approached by a master from Thailand, the homeland of Muy Thai, who offered to train him there under the old traditions of the sport. He accepted and much to the disdain of his mother left for Thailand next month a few days after his twentieth birthday.
It was during this time he was introduced to the idea of a basic energy that flowed through every living being. It had many names such as Chi and Chakra, but he just referred to it as fighting spirit. It was during one exercise to help him harness this energy that he found out about his skill set. He was and had been trying to release his fighting spirit into his target, a tree. He was unable to do so for so long that his master was becoming frustrated and so was Tetra. One day, however, he was being scolded as he continued to attempt the fairly simple task his fist caught fire mid-punch and burned a huge ole into the trunk of the tree. He as well as his master was shocked by this turn of events. Tetra was immediately taken to see a local shaman who was to assess the situation and perhaps enlighten them to the cause of this phenomenon. It was at this point in his life that he was first introduced to his odd abilities. He then trained along with his master to hone his unique skill.
After he turned thirty-seven he moved back to the States and lived in rural Alabama because his powers were derived from nature. One night his forest shrouded home was stepped on by a monster fleeing operatives from Midnight Blue. He assisted them in killing the large minotaur and was immediately invited to join the organization in exchange for a house near Birmingham.
Powers: Tetra's Muy Thai training was intense and has turned him into a hand-to-hand fighting machine. Rumor has it that was required to chop a tree down with nothing but his kicks before he was allowed to go back to his home.
Elemental Energy Absorption: By way of an unseen genetic mutation, Tetra's spiritual system doesn't hold normal spiritual energy, but instead houses four basic elemental energies[Fire, Water/Ice, Earth/Metal, and Lightning]. He is capable of absorbing this energy from his environment and focus them into areas of his body and even release them in their physical form.
~~~Tetra Fang: Instead of releasing all of his energy in small increments over a full battle, Tetra focuses, compresses, and releases all elemental energy in his body in one final blow. This has a non-elemental effect as each element cancels the effect of its opposite. While this is capable of causing intense damage, releasing that amount of energy immediately knocks him out once it is released.
Equipment: None
Weakness: His actions can be negated by the elemental opposite of the attack. Fire is reflected by Water and vice versa. The same is true for Earth and Lightning.
While others in his tier aren't usually capable of manipulating his elemental energy while inside his body, once it leaves his body, he loses quite a bit of his control. That is why he keeps to his hand-to-hand combat for the most part.
