Name: Cameron Wilkinson
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Lawful Good
Power Level: 2 out of suit, 7 in
Timeline: Futuristic
Appearance: Rather effeminate, Cameron stands at 5'10", with parted dirty-blond hair; the left side is appreciably longer than the right, reaching down to a little past his blue eyes.
When not in civilian clothing he usually wears a leather bolero jacket emblazoned with the Apollo Squadron's symbol over a belt he has tied, interestingly enough, around his chest; on this belt is a holster for the small laser pistol all the pilots are issued. Wilkinson also has a belt in a more traditional spot around his waist, which has a few pouches for whatever little things he happens to deign to stick in them. Under all of this is a bright blue piloting jumpsuit, and his hands are often covered by a pair of gloves.
One Pic Summary: Cameron Wilkinson
Personality: Cameron is one of those ever-grinning types, aggressively attempting to lighten up any and every mood he comes across. He tends to, accordingly, irritate his superiors, as there is a very fine(nonexistent if you believe some people) line between sarcasm and insubordination.
In arguments he tends to go from ever-grinning to ever-mocking, and is more apt to make accusations against character than actually make an effort to prove his point.
History: Cameron was born on Earth during a few years after the One Year War, and he spent his life idolizing its heroes, as well as those of the wars occurring all the way into the Axis collision crisis; therefore, after the Republic of Zeon, under the leadership of a maniacal masked man calling himself the Sapphire Meteor, declared war on the Earth Federation, no one who knew the young man was really surprised that he would join the military, wherein the knack for Mobile Suit piloting he displayed during basic training caused him to be selected for the AceType program, which was meant to break down the walls between the Newtypes and baseline humans.
The surprise came when, while out in space doing some performance tests on one of the prototypes being developed for the AceType program, a small Zeon strike force attacked. Wilkinson, though only a cadet, had always been an adventurous sort and was already in the pilot's seat; as images of the hero Amuro first commandeering the RX 78-2 flashed through his mind, he immediately charged the small group of mobile suits. He had a fair bit of success, shooting down two of the attacking Zakus within the span of fifteen seconds, which scared the other three into a retreat.
This action earned the cadet a promotion, a Mobile Suit, a reprimand, and an assignment to Apollo Squadron and the Zeus.
Powers and Skills:
Spatial Awareness: The most notable thing the AceType training gave him was a nigh-superhuman sense of his surroundings, as well as those of the individual objects around him; this allows him to consistently gauge distances and positions, even when under pressure. Cameron would probably make a good sniper, were he more patient; as it is, it mostly just allows him to shoot well enough to make his wild flying style workable, and it also makes him a disgustingly good pool player.
Equipment:
Laser Pistol: Self explanatory function, rests in a holster on his breast-belt.
Weakness: Since Wilkinson isn't invincible, he can't really do any of that 'block bullet with face' or 'parry sword with chest' business; he's also, expectantly, a rash pilot, and prone to frustration if his efforts don't give him an immediate payoff.
Name: PTX-008L Huckebein
Age: operational for about 4 months
Gender: None
Race: Gundam
Alignment: same as pilot
Power Level: 7
Timeline: Futuristic
Appearance: PTX-008L Huckebein; the cockpit block is located in the torso.
History: The Huckebein is the mobile suit model developed by the Tesla Leicht Institute, a misleadlingly named technology corporation, named after Nikola Tesla, for consideration as the front-line mobile suit model of the AceType program. Among its most distint features are the Twin Tesla Drives it is mounted with, as well as its Black Hole Engine, both technologies invented by the Institute. This is one of the two prototypes made; the second is being redesigned, so as to make the design easier to produce.
This particular model was repainted red after being assigned to its current pilot, who was quoted as saying "The red ones always go faster."
Equipment:
Tesla Drives x2: The Tesla Drives, invented by the eponymous company, run off of the power provided by the Black Hole Engine, and provide the Huckebein with enough thrust to allow it to fly in atmosphere, and
Black Hole Engine: The powerplant of the Huckebein, also invented by TLI, is so named specifically for its ability to consume nearly any form of matter and convert it to energy both quickly and efficiently enough that it can run the suit for extended periods of time.
Arsenal:
Built in:
60mm Head Vulcans x2: Fire linked, the Huckebein has this mainstay of any self respecting MS arsenal located in its head; they have a hilariously limited range, and serve primarily as last resort weaponry.
Beam Saber x2: These are, as you would expect, beam sabers; they are located in their recharge slots on either side of the Huckey's skirt armor, one saber per slot.
Modular
Bazooka: Much more reliable and gigantic than its WWII counterpart, the bazooka fires rockets all unguided and ballistic-style, and usually deploys with one round in the chamber and seven in the clip. In order to better facilitate its carrying around, it also has a handle protruding above the business end of the barrel, allowing for under-arm transportation; the handle even comes with a trigger.
100mm Machine Gun: One of the old Federation mainstays, the MG is also hand-carried and clip-fed for operation, with a much more generous 100 rounds per clip; this is the Huckebein's main weapon, and its skirt armor even carries space for up to four extra clips to be carried.
Black Hole Cannon: Named for its power source and not its effects, the Black Hole Cannon sucks power from the Huckebein's Black Hole Engine in order to fire a fast-traveling, magnetically held-together orb of energy toward the target; said energy reacts rather explosively when an object enters the field. The Cannon drains a surprisingly large chunk of energy from the Huckebein's otherwise considerable supply, and so only 3 shots, spaced at 10 second intervals, can be fired before the Huckebein becomes too drained to function; trying to fire more often risks overloading the cannon, or shutting the suit down even sooner.
Weakness:
The Huckebein is, at the end of the day, a light mobile suit and is unsuited for combat against capital ships; though its modular arsenal helps to remedy this problem somewhat, none of it lasts forever, and the heaviest weaponry is rather slow to fire; more than enough time for the weaponry of one of the aforementioned ships to draw a bead and send some ordinance at the suit, which the Huckey's armor is poorly equipped to handle.
