Name: Sierra Douglas
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Power Level: Low-tier High (7)
Timeline: Modern
Appearance:
Sierra is quite a beautiful woman, though not at the supermodel level. Her dark blonde/light brown hair is very thick and well-conditioned with a great deal of body, even though it stretches down to the small of her back when laying down. Her body is fit and lean with eye-appealing, but not over-glamorous curves. She always professionally regardless of where she's going or what she's doing, complete with a tie, but she has a habit of wearing her lab coat over her shoulders rather than over her arms. Her eyes are of an eye-catching golden hue, but the white of her left one has been entirely engulfed by the bright red of the hemorrhage.
Personality: Outwardly cold and accepting of no excuses from anyone, cold, hard science is Sierra's religion and scientific discovery is, in her opinion, the greatest thing anyone can hope to aspire to. Anyone who opts out due to cowardice is no better than a blasphemer to her. At the same time, however, she opposes cutting corners or taking disruptive risks, but not on moral grounds. Rather, it is because such activities add extra variables and risk corrupting the results.
History: Sierra's outlook has always been such, or has been for the great majority of her adult life, and they saw her through three science masters by the time she was old enough to drink to celebrate it. However, the powers were a different matter.
On a project studying the theories of entropic Dark Matter, the team utilized a massive particle collider. This miles-long racetrack for atomic and subatomic particles put them into demolition derby for the sake of science.
But something went wrong. Unpredictably, a small tremor, a prequel to a full quake that would occur the following day as it turned out, and caused damage during the test to the collider. She hurried to respond to the incident, but the damage caused a cascade failure in the collider's systems and a line in it burst as it threw her against a wall.
At the same time, in a mathematical fluke, a particle of the dark matter far too small for the naked eye to perceive burst forth from the line to pierce said organ at incalculable speeds, embedding itself in her brain.
She should have died, but by some miracle (which she does not believe in), she not only survived, but the dark matter affected her mind in unimaginable ways.
Powers: Sierra's sole power is the generation and manipulation of dark matter. She can manipulate it with the same skill as a master telekinetic can manipulate positive matter and she can generate it at paces capable of blanketing (although "engulfing" might be a more accurate) a city square in minutes. Dark Matter works something like anti-space. When it comes into contact with physical matter, the two negate each other. This means that whatever Dark Matter comes into contact with is immediately rendered nonexistent, up to an equivalent amount to the amount of Dark Matter and relative force involved. The dark matter is also lost in the process.
As a side effect of her condition, Sierra is immune to anything involving dark matter or similar things (such as, for instance, a Sphere of Annihilation) and can direct them even if she didn't generate them.
Equipment: None beyond scientific study equipment, which depends on what she's doing at the time.
Weakness: Other than her ability to generate and manipulate dark matter, Sierra is completely human and has no increased physical parameters or defenses.
