Name: Rexx
Age: He stopped counting after living through the plague because at that point, it really didn't matter.
Gender: Male
Race: Canine Ancient (No, I couldn't make up a better name, suggestions are welcome!)
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Power Level: Mid tier Medium
Timeline: Midevil/Modern/semi-futuristic
Appearance: He is a very large (nearly five feet tall when standing on all fours), brown and scruffy dog. He appears to be an Australian Shepard. His front canines are larger than any other dog, poking out several inches below his mouth. He has two green eyes and a third eye resting on his forehead. The eye only opens to those Rexx is engaged in combat with, otherwise it is invisible.
Personality: Rexx is rather snide and well spoken, especially for a dog. He tends to come off a bit snobbish, preferring too talk to most others while resting his head on his paws or scratching himself. In fact, he almost never looks at the person he talks to, which to most gives him an air of disrespect to others. He keeps quiet on matters of opinion, and will mostly only speak if spoken to. Having lived for so long he can, when prompted to, come up with something wise to add to a conversation. He does not like combat, not enough to engage in it willingly. If he is fighting, it is because he has no other options at the time. As a last point, he hates children, and to a lesser extent, young women.
History: In only the oldest of werewolf tribes, there echoes a legend depicting the near-extinction of the werewolf race.
This indiscriminate genocide was committed by a much smaller tribe of wolves, an ancient and powerful race of wolves, thought to be the ancestor of all canine kind. They have had many names over the generations, but today, they are merely said to be canine ancients.
Rexx is the patriarch of the tribe, and participated in the slaughter of thousands of werewolves. The war was so one sided that in the end, less than one-hundred werewolves were left just before disaster struck the tribe of Canine Ancients, a disease that tore it's way through the ranks of them, killing them less than a week after they caught it. Rexx, for some reason, was immune to the plague, and so, has become the last canine ancient alive, and the last ancient the world will ever see.
He has lived quietly through the years, occasionally ridding cities and villages of certain nocturnal pests occasionally, he would even turn in his freedom at times to be owned by human beings, choosing a relaxing life at least for a little while.
Very few people know of his existence nowadays, as he chooses to spend his days lounging around the house of his owner, but if a supernatural threat arises, one that cannot be stopped by conventional means, then at lease the threat will know his name, and his legacy.
Powers:
Mark of the hunt (can be applied on sight): Only one opponent can be the target with this skill at once. The skill marks the target, setting them up to be pursued by Rexx. Any target that is narked has their location permanently revealed to him. This also increases Rexx's running speed, allowing him to reach speeds nearing sixty miles per hour. His speed even more to compensate for distance. The further they get away from Rexx, the faster he becomes as well.
Mark of Blood: If Rexx bites an adversary, he can use this mark. The mark of blood causes the target to bleed from their wounds until the mark is removed.
Mark of the all seeing eye (this mark can only be applied through the use of an eye blast): Causes the target to become nearsighted, blurring the area outside of about fifteen feet. The blur becomes worse as time wears on.
Pursue (only able to be activated on a fleeing and marked opponent): Rexx begins to pursue his prey, with an intent to kill. This intensity stresses his prey and makes his strikes to be more effective upon reaching his prey. The longer he pursues, the more powerful he becomes.
Fox Hunt(Can only be preformed when fleeing from a marked opponent): Causes his pursuers to feel tired, even when the chase has only just begun. Rexx begins to faze in and out of their vision confusing his opponent until Rexx can effectively strike.
Lockjaw: When Rexx bites an opponent, he can lock his jaw in place. This lets him to stay attached to the target for a very long time while tearing larger holes in their wounds.
Eye blast: A simple blast of energy emitted from his third eye, the blast impacts physically, and is more of a push than anything else.
Mark of the Patriarch: Puts a dying opponent into a deep sleep, removing all marks and healing their wounds. The slumber can only be broken by the will of the Patriarch.
Weapons: Has none, besides his natural weapons.
Weakness: Enemies that aren't grounded. If his opponent can fly, they have a pretty large advantage.
Very confined spaces.
Cats.
