Name: Edenite
Place of Origin: Artificial Planetoid - Eden
Distinguishing Characteristics: Incredibly advanced androids, most possessing metallic shells, though the majority can deactivate these to take on a more human appearance.
Unique Abilities: Even civilian models, while comparable in power and abilities to a normal athletic human, can take impressive punishment due to the incredibly dense alloys they are made of. They do not need to breathe and all combat models are medium-powered at a bare minimum. Oddly enough, however, they do seem to be biologically compatible with humans. They utilize plasmic technology for everything from tools to weapons, and their society is as advanced and intermixed as our own.
History: The Edenites were created by the last, greatest mind of a dying humanoid race. He is known only as the Master to the Edenites, and is viewed with godlike reverence and loyalty. To this day, to suggest that another is not holding the will of the Master foremost is an incredible insult.
The Master's race perished because their own creations rebelled against them and destroyed them. He fled to the stars and created the Edenites to help him return life to his people. To that end, he created what the Edenites call Carbons, who form the humans we know of today. They are in every way physically and biologically identical to the Master's race.
Once this had been accomplished, and the new race had time to gather itself together, the Master left the perfect, life-preserving environment of Eden to live among them, and perished at the end of his natural lifetime. Before he left, he placed Eden in charge of watching over this new race and protecting it from any harm like what befell his race, and to that end, the Mother Units, the master androids that serve as the sovereigns of Eden, formed optimum parameters based on population size, technological level and individual power capacity. Whenever one of the parameters would be breached, Eden would take steps to rectify it in order to continuously preserve the Carbon society.
Their views toward aliens are not kind, as they care only about the preservation of the Carbons, and they see interaction with other species as contaminating to their socio-cultural evolution. As a result, any races who would seek to make contact with Earth and would disobey the orders to stay away from Eden are summarily dismantled.
While there can be any job for an Edenite, from pilot to chef to salesman to housemaid, the most notable group is the Edenite Military, the Purifier Units. They have four classifications.
C Class Purifiers are the lowest-ranking soldiers, the mass-produced grunts and infantrymen.
B Class Purifiers are officers and those in charge of low-ranking groups.
A Class Purifiers are the top of their class, and it is rare that anything but a specially-designed unit goes any further. They're the marines, the first ones in and the last ones out.
S Class Purifiers are the absolute top of the line and consist almost entirely of units specifically designed for this ranking, though an occassional particularly exceptional Class A may be promoted to it. If the Class A Purifier Units are the Marines, the Class S Units are the Black Ops, the Special Agents. They are often sent in as one-man armies into incredibly hostile territory and emerge without hardly a scratch.

Name: Tektites
Place of Origin: Outer Space/Galagapos Rift
Distinguishing Characteristics: They can come in almost any form imaginable, due to their DNA-theft, and, once developed, can be almost indistinguishable from the rest of the race it had infected.
Unique Abilities: Reproduces asexually by infecting a host and absorbing DNA while consuming the body for nutrients.
History: Tektite is defined in the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language as Any of numerous generally small, rounded, dark brown to green glassy objects that are composed of silicate glass and are thought to have been formed by the impact of a meteorite with the earth's surface.
The creatures referred to here developed from bacteria-like organisms that survived the impact of a meteor strike in the Galagapos Rift. They are a biological chimera, taking on characteristics of the organisms they infect, snatching DNA and incorporating it into themselves while consuming the organism for food. During this time, they reproduce, then develop, growing and eventually being "born" after the organism has been entirely consumed.

Name: Talihin
Place of Origin: Unknown
Distinguishing Characteristics: In humanoid cultures, their hair and eyes are always the same color, and their eyes often seem to glow with a soft, inner light.
Unique Abilities: They are healthier, fitter and more intelligent than the race they are emulating. They also do not fight one another, resulting in a stable world peace once they complete the reformation.
History: The Talihin are an alien race that spreads to other worlds by altering native species to become their own race, so that a planet is already colonized without destroying its ecosystem. From this, the actual origins of the Talihin have been thrust into mystery, as no one knows what or where they originally came from.
Because of the method of transfer, each civilization of Talihin is unique, and are usually further classified by where they live. For instance, the Talihin on Earth are called Terra-Talihin. The differences between Terra-Talihin and Humans are negligible, but apparent. Terra-Talihin are immediately recognizable by their eyes, which seem to glow with an inner sort of light, and their hair, which is always the same color of their eyes, making for some distinctly unique and noticeable hair colors.

Name: Nephilim
Place of Origin: Earth - Judeo-Christian Mythology
Distinguishing Characteristics: Mostly human, but sometimes larger or possessing unique differences. Some have wings, for instance, or different skin colors. It's really a case-by-case issue. Almost all of them are unnaturally beautiful beings.
Unique Abilities: More powerful and often, but not always, more intelligent than their human counterparts. They also possess an indefinite lifespan.
History: The Nephilim are a people created by crossbreeding angels and mortals. These are the half-demons and half-angels found both in the Bible and in our works of fiction. The beginning of Genesis Chapter 6 describes them thus:
...The sons of God saw that the daughters of man were good, and they took themselves wives from whomever they chose. God said, 'My spirit will not continue to judge man forever, since he is nothing but flesh. His days shall be 120 years'. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also later. The sons of God had come to the daughters of man and had fathered them. They were the mightiest ones who ever existed, men of renown.
The Sons of God spoken of in this paragraph are the fallen angels that were evicted from Heaven along with Lucifer for conspiring against God. The offspring from these unholy unions lived unnaturally long and were the strongest mortal beings in existence, and were extremely famous and well-known.

Name: Alter-Users
Place of Origin: The Lost Grounds - Japan
Distinguishing Characteristics: They can be any species of animals, but are primarily human. Unless they have been physically altered through refinement or due to use of higher Alter forms, there is no way to tell at a glance between an Alter-User and a normal being. Alter-Users are often more in touch with their baser emotions.
Unique Abilities: Alter-Users summon otherworldly energies and manifest secondary beings or structures called Alters. Even when an alter is not active, the User bears characteristics of it, both in personality and abilities. A person whose alter is a powerhouse will have abnormal strength even without it, and someone whose alter is all about speed will be fast-paced and impatient.
History: Note: The original concept of Alterusers belongs to the makers of S-Cry-ed.
Alteruser: (n) A member of a human subrace with the ability to channel unique powers through the form of alters.
Alter: (n) The unique manifestation of an alteruser's power, created through a process of molecular manipulation theorized to be controlled through a form of telepathy.
Twenty years ago, an event occurred in Japan called the Great Upheaval. It was a powerful earthquake that seperated an entire portion of the country from the mainland that became known as the Lost Grounds. Some sort of unknown type of fallout occurred as a result of the Great Upheaval, and a great number of children born in the Lost Grounds since that time possess great powers, and are called Alterusers. Alterusers are scorned and reviled by many and thought to be mere beasts by many more, even though they are simply humans with a gift.
Alterusers are not born in any other area other than the Lost Grounds, and only a fraction of children from there are actually such beings. The area was marked off from the mainland and deemed a protected Alteruser habitat by the Japanese government. On the Lost Grounds, itself, the people are split two ways. On one side, there are the people of the city, protected by the military organization of HOLD. Alterusers serving in HOLD serve in a special suborganization called HOLY. Though they are feared as much in the city as the native alterusers, they hold some semblance of normal life, but their mission is to use their powers to capture other alterusers to keep the "barbarians" from causing chaos.
The native alterusers live outside the city in small communities with other humans who didn't get the privelige to be born in the city. They despise HOLD because they just want to live their lives in peace, but they won't let them.

Name: Lilin
Place of Origin: Earth (Judeo-Christian Mythology)
Distinguishing Characteristics: The Lilin people are the daughters of Lilith. Religious sources argue about the father of the species, with some stating Samael as the father, others the Angel of Death...some even claim Lucifer as the father; Any of these claims may be true, and indeed all of them probably are.
One accepted fact is that they are a race of demons, very similar in their powers to succubi. Like succubi, they take various forms, though the most common is simply that of an exceptionally attractive woman. They are feared by men and women alike: by men for their ability to seduce and then sap a man's strenght and energy, by women for their penchant for kidnapping children.
The Lilin are an all-female people. Perhaps because of this, as well as the general infertility of all of Hell's demons, they are incapable of reproduction. Therefore, it is impossible to have a half-Lilin. Furthermore, 100 of their number are killed daily and at random die as a punishment by God against their mother, Lilith. Their numbers rely entirely upon their mother's actions.
The Lilin value independence and freedom above all else, even if just their own, and as such most Lilin live among the normal human population, where they make the most of their typically short lives by living them to the fullest and performing the same seductive acts as their mother; most of the truly successful prostitutes in the world are Lilin, and members of their race are usually behind some of the most notorious child-kidnapping rings in the world. They don't necessarily delight in pain, but rather put the pursuit of their pleasure above the wants and needs of any others...they are, simply put, a selfish and lustful race.

E'lali
Place of Origin: Lore - Aerana System, Orion Nebula
The E'lali are a race very similar to elves in appearance(their name literaly translates to "Elf" in English), but are exclusive only to the planet Lore. They were the first race to civilize, and quickly became the dominant race on the planet until the Race War.
Characteristics: By human standards, even the "ugliest" of E'lali would be considered amazingly gorgeous/handsome, their poreless skin seemingly perfect and uniform in complexion, which can range form a pale white to a deep coffee-like brown. Their hair can range from either a platinum to white or black. Their features are slightly more angulated than a human's except for their ears, which are pointed and nearly twice normal human length. Compared to humans, they have a small build, and most stand between 5'4" - 5'8" for males, and 4'11" - 5'5" for females. All are of high intellectual standing and have a strong affinity to light magic.
The E'lali usually live to the age of about 1000, give or take 110 years, though a few have been known to live far beyond that norm. They reach adulthood at about 180 years. As a general rule, to find the age of an E'lali as relative to a human, just divide his/her age by 10. This usually gives a good approximation.
E'lali halfbloods generally live to about 300 years, but don't age as gracefully; they look the age they actually are, though their bodies are usually in much better shape than one would expect for their aged stature.
Social: All E'lali live by the rule that everyone within their race is equal. The only titles that exist are those given to the Grand Mages of the Council. Not even the leaders of each tribe hold any special title, as few as are left. All generally frown upon war, at least openly, and most believe in saving face. All E'lali live by the general rule that "small talk is pointless, joking is a waste of time, and stupidity should be dealt with swiftly and painfully."
The entire race as a whole is generally quite pacifist by nature. other races see them as the picture of calm and serenity, possessing no emotion save the occassional amused smile, approving nod, or stern gaze that sets their methodical personalities apart from a robot's. This is not because they have no emotion, but rather because the race as a whole has learned such mastery of their emotions so as to sweep most feelings clean from their minds. This is not to say an E'lali never angers; give one a reason to fight, and you'll witness decades, sometimes centuries worth of pent-up emotions surge forth through their spells.
While the E'lali may view all members of their own race as equals, that mindset does not often extend beyond their own race; they generally look down upon every other known race in one way or another and to some extent, if not with disdain then with a sort of sad pity. Alien races are met with distrust and hostility.
When an E'lali child comes of age (usually at 100 years), he/she enters into a rigorous magical training program meant to bring their full latent power in magic to bloom. Once they have succeeded, usually taking anywhere between 75-200 years and marked by a mastery of light elemental magics, they earn the white robes of a citizen of E'lali society. They then may opt to continue a less rigorous study of any other school of magic they choose.
Political: The E'lali live by a Magocracy. 8 of the society's most powerful mages make up the Great Mages of the Council, who run their domain much in the same way as Congress. Each mage is elected by their respective clans. The Great Sage, the single most powerful mage in the entire realm, presides over the Council as its head.
The Council prefers to solve outside disputes in a diplomatic manner. Even in war, the E'lali never force the attack, no matter how mortal the enemy.

Name: Zann Elf
Place of Origin: The Republic of Battleon, Iden Distinguishing Characteristics: They are commonly larger than average elves They often range around seven feet in height. They commonly have black hair and they often pick up the eye color of their father.
Unique Abilities: Unlike several other races, their magical abilities are sub-par. Psionics-wise, they are capable in ranged techniques and very physically powerful.
History: Zann elves are an odd cross breed of two different subspecies of elf. It is unknown what is required to have a Zann Elf offspring, being more of a genetic mutation. The most Zann Elves are found on the planet of Iden, along with other elves, humans and necrival.

Name: Necrival
Place of Origin: Necrival Empire, Iden
Distinguishing Characteristics: Necrival are comperable to humans, appearance wise. Their features change depending on their sub-specie. They don't have a full anthromorphic animal appearance if they are an animal sub-specie. They have unusually coloured eyes that glow dimly. The sub-specie of a Necrival is always random.
Unique Abilities: Necrival are immortal beings and cannot die through natural causes. They each have a different magical talent, each Necrival has a sub-specie that they adapt characteristics from. Two Necrival of the same sub-specie may not have the same characteristics. (One dog necrival can be sensitive to high pitched noises while another may have a good sense of smell.)
History: The Necrival were at one point the dominant species of Iden... sort of. The Necrival bowed down to a species known as the Lumina. Due to the Lumina being a female only race, the Necrival Empire was a fiercly matriartical society. Males were rarely in a position of power in the Empire during the early years of Iden. Necrival are commonly called "demons" because of their prowess on the ancient battlefield. Even after their decline, the slang term stuck, though more of a mocking tone. A small resistance group lead by Micheal Zor'Hell eventually overcame the Empire using unorthodox tactics. The Necrival are mostly ashamed of their steep drop from superiority.

Name: Osean
Place of Origin: Usha
Distinguishing Characteristics: Tall humanoid beings with long and pointed ears. They have a wide array of builds (fat, thin, muscular). Their eyes are often pale and piercing. If one glares at you, you'll know it. The average hair color is black, brown and blue. They can also have different skin colors and ethnic origins (Black, Asian, European). Their aging process is slower. Their average lifespan is about 600 years. They have a lead based blood system as well as another mineral not found on Earth. Drinking Osean blood would kill you with lead poisoning. While they age slower, they mature faster. They have slight fangs.
Unique Abilities: Stronger than humans, about twice as strong. They have a higher metabolic rate and a more efficient cardio-pulmonary system. (They can breathe thinner air) They have lower tolerance for carbon monoxide.
History: Oseans are one of the most known races of the Ushan universe, known as being the founding race of the Dominion. While they evolved from a moutines race of wolves. Through the ages they became a moderator group keeping the peace between the three races of Usha. While a peaceful race Osean are much like humans when it comes to war and fighting they hold back until there sure using deadly force is absolutely necessary. After the founding of the Ushan Dominion Oseans continued to play a large role. In fact the 1st man in space on Usha was a man named Seigle Voltzes (An Osean and ancestor of Conel Voltzes). The Osean and human cultural similarly are very close both use hand shakes to greet and give farewells, and both have similar mating ceremonies (wedding). During the Ushan dark era (2013-2078) Oseans where found to be the most compatible for cybernetic enhancement. After the dark era they played key roles in the Dominion's trek through the stars. To this day they are hailed with all the races of the Dominion along side other races.

Name: Lumina
Place of Origin: Unknown, the last recorded Lumina civilization was on ancient Iden, but they departed for parts unknown.
Distinguishing Characteristics: An alien race. Lumina are humanoid creatures, and are all female. They possess a slightly weaker bone structure than humans, making them a bit frail and delicate compared to a few other species. To ensure a continuing population, Lumina are eternally youthful until they give birth to a prerequisite number of Lumina daughters. Appearance wise, they appear much like a normal human woman. However, their ears have the slightest canine-like point and their eyes are cloudy, showing what is almost like a glinting aura, like the Necrival.
Unique Abilities: Their mental capacity is far greater than the average human. However, Lumina are also mentally unstable, being erratic in nature and prone to serious cases of amnesia under extreme emotional distress. Their magical and psychokinetic potential far outstrips human expectation. The Lumina’s value on increasing their numbers is reflected in their anatomy, they can reproduce in two ways. Either with a mate, which renders an offspring of either gender and of the father’s species, or in an asexual manner where the mother impregnates herself, granting a Lumina offspring and as such, a guaranteed female child. Lumina can master any element, but as a race, they are of the Light elemental affinity (actual light, not holiness).
History: The Lumina are an advanced female only alien species. For reasons unknown, they travel far and wide, making small temporary colonies on many planets. Lumina have an interesting culture, often adapting the cultures of whatever species they come in contact with, though they do not adapt anything involving human sacrifice. The fate of the Lumina is unknown, but except for a few exceptions, such as Maria Combateare, they have seemed to vanish from the annals of history. It can be speculated that they have traveled out of the reaches of those that can relate the tales of their civilization to the rest of the universe.

The Ritri
Place of Origin: Lore - Aerana System, Orion Nebula
Distinguishing Characteristics: In appearance, the common Ritri looks like a well built human being with pale skin, black hair, and brown eyes. They can easily fit in among humans, pass as human, and, given the training, even speak their languages albeit in a "retarded" manner.
The royal Ritri bloodline are built slightly more slender than their commonfolk and possess a more refined, tanned appearance. Their hair ranges from bleach to dirty blonde, and their eyes are a stunning golden color. Their "biseinen"-like appearance (this goes for both males and females) makes it harder for them to fit in with humans in all but the highest social levels. Their golden eyes are a dead givaway to their unhuman origins.
Intellectually, the common are somewhat lacking in intellect, but that is not to say they are morons. They possess a high amount of cunning (figures...) that makes them rather shrewd when it comes to social and economic affairs. They aren't completely lacking in cranial capacity; they are effectively equal to humans in learning capability. They possess no magical abilities beyond the capacity to fly into a berserker rage, at which point their eyes glow a deep crimson and they lose mental control of their actions.
Royalty are more intellectual, commonly garnering doctorate-level education in multiple fields of study in the royal court. They prefer to not answer questions directly or frankly, being quite fond of having others draw the conclusions themselves. They also possess the ability to fly into a berserker-like rage, but they remain in relative control of their thoughts and actions, most likely due to their great mental fortitude. Unlike the common race, the royal bloodline is born with an innate ability to control a certain element. Usually such a feat is hereditary. Right after a royal child comes of age, he/she learns the art of magic.
All Ritri possess the same feelings and personalities as humans. Each being has a unique peronality, but commoners tend to be slightly more brutish and impulsive (due to their more physical nature) while royalty tend to be more honorable, noble, and insightful. Both share a general disdain for bloodshed, though all revel in the thought and practice of "hunting" their blood-enemies, the E'lali.
Language: The Rirti speak a language that's all their own. It is a language that cannot be classified by human means; it is the one language left on the planet that still closely resembles the Old Tongue used by all the races' ancestors. Its written form consists of various symbols, each one representing a single word or concept; names and places may consist of multiple symbols strung together. In spoken form, it's a slightly choppy language, it's flow broken into a natural and involuntary rhythm, making Ritri poem and song quite appealing, and making it unique to the planet Lore.
Lifespan: Ritri normally live to be about 2,000 years old. That's equivalent to 100 human years, in terms of physical degeneration. They reach maturity around 350 years. Studies have shown that their lifespans are shortened by about 500 years when born on another plane or planet, or when relocated to another plane or planet before they have reached mature age.
In theory, a halfblood can live as long as his parents. However, due to the unique genetic makeup, all halfbloods are reproductively sterile. Furthermore, though a halfblood has the "theoretic" ability to live as long as a normal Ritri, his body physically ages at the rate of the other race (i.e. a Ritri-human will age as a human, a Ritri-E'lali, as forbidden by both cultures as it is, will age as an E'lali, etc.) Also, no matter the halfblood's other race, his unstable genetic makeup begins to deteriorate after about 500 years. Such deterioration causes increasingly more severe pain at steadily shortening intervals throughout his life until he dies from the deterioration or some other cause; death by genetic deterioration generally takes about 250-300 years, with the final 50 marked by a decline in mental ability that eventually leads to complete brain failure. There is no cure for Halfblood Genetic Deterioration.
History: Ritri are the youngest of all the known races, just under 10,000 years before the Lorian Race War, almost 14,000 years ago. They were created, rather than evolved. No one knows how, who, or why they were created. After their defeat in the Lorian Race War at the hands of humans 4000 years ago, they went into exile on other planes, planets, or dimensions. Currently, the Ritri race is nearly extinct, with only a few hundred still living on Lore while thousands more are scattered throughout the multiverse, their heritage lost to circumstance.

Name: Genoa's
Place of Origin: Alpha Sector, Beta 323, Gamma Section, Dentoris System
Distinguishing Characteristics: Human looking, ZenSerpent tatooed somewhere on their body(See my Daughter of Morning story for more details). Isolated, village living people
Unique Abilities: Varied powers, usually limited to the controlling of 2 powers. Example being my character Baldric. He has mastery over the elements of darkness and fire.
History: After an immense nuclear war on the planet centuries ago, the residual traces of radiation were absorbed through the births of children until the developed certain things to them. They would be born able to harnes a usuall two powers, not able to be controlled by mere humans. They are branded with a ZenSerpent tatoo at birth and cast out to die by normal humans. One of them lived however and created the first safe haven. This safe haven led to others made, and the eventual condoning of rape gangs. They were given money and power over police, for killing, maiming, kidnapping, enslaving, raping, or any other type of abuse they could give to the Genoas. It was later found, that certain animals and plpants were also infected, and mutated into monsters. Some, however, are friendly, such as the Nihilats.
