Name: Star Peacefire
Power Level: Mid-tier High
Time Period: Modern
Age: Looks 16, but doesn't age.
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alignment: Lawful Good
Appearance: Star looks to be not a day over sixteen years old, but her actual age is somewhat questionable, although not greatly beyond that. Either way, she's adverse to discussing it, even though she equally despises being treated like a child. Standing at only half an inch short of five and a half feet tall, she possesses an athletic form that is well-curved for someone as active as she is, but nothing extreme. Her most eye-catching trait, however, is the color of her shoulderblade-length hair and eyes, both a vivid, bright, cotton candy pink, stained that way by the potion she was exposed to as part of Kali's plans to turn her. Her skin is also stained, but it comes across as her looking like she has a permanent blush. Her muscle tone is taut, but not bulky, trained so it is streamlined and quick instead of large and hindering, but unlike a normal human of more average capacity, it's extremely dense and feels more like squeezing a rock than an arm. Her common attire is simple, if frequently replaced due to combat damage. Typically, it is nothing more than a sports bra, an unadorned t-shirt, jeans, ankle socks and sneakers.
When she transforms into her Angelic form, her hair and eyes are purified for the duration to their original colors, blonde and blue respectively, her clothes are purged to white regardless of their original colors, which also return upon reverting, and she gains two large, white-feathered wings.
Personality: Any who have known Star for more than a few minutes can attest to her extremely outgoing personality. She is inarguably a being of extremes, capable of limitless compassion, as well as terrible fury. Many have described her as a modern-day (if rather flippant) paladin, and not entirely because her calling reflects such. While she loves a great fight and could be convinced to participate in one solely on the promise of challenge alone, she will not hesitate to drop everything in the defense of someone in need. Who is in need matters very little, as she believes everyone who possesses free will also possesses the capacity for good. If she has one hair trigger, though, it's perverts and lechery. She responds quickly to these people. Quickly and violently.
History: When God cast out Lucifer and his angelic following and threw them down to Earth, they encountered human women and found them attractive, taking the ones they desired as mates, mostly at the unwillingness of the mortal women. The children born of these unions were called the Nephilim, half human half angel hybrids with great might and indefinitely long lifespans. These were not the heroic, paladinic half-breeds that mythology and Hollywood like to portray, however. They were so full of evil and such a corrupting influence on humanity that they drove God to induce the Great Flood.
After this cataclysmic event, the Word makes very little reference to these mighty abominations, largely leaving us to believe they were all wiped out. References remain, however, that point to a different conclusion, the most well-known being the story of David and Goliath and the titular giant's heritage, said to be traced back to the Nephilim, though even this terrifying warrior was not the full-blooded "real deal." So if the Nephilim did not all die off, what happened to them?
One of the most powerful of them, the Man-Demon Kali, was the mortal spawn of Lucifer, himself. Unwaveringly loyal to his father's goals, he set his sights on conquering all of Mankind to drive their souls down the path that would gain them for Satan's total. With an incredible gift for innumerable dark arts and by amassing a demonic army, he unleashed his forces on humanity in a wave of destruction. Proving too powerful a force for mankind to counter on their own, but unwilling to interfere with mortal affairs to such a degree as would be required to mobilize the forces of Heaven, God reached down and touched the most powerful and faithful of Man's warriors and blessed him with the power of the angels of Heaven.
This "Chosen One" turned the tide of the conflict, tearing through Kali's forces and decimating their numbers before facing off against the Man-Demon, himself. With angelic might, he very nearly defeated Kali once and for all, but such power was not meant for mortals to bear, and even as he drew back for the final blow, his body could no longer contain it. With his death and the Man-Demon's forces scattered and all but destroyed, Kali limped back into the shadows to nurse his wounds and recover. Lucifer, however, loudly proclaimed it a victory for his son because he had survived and God's chosen warrior had not, and many years passed before Kali would move again.
Thus was established the lineage of the Chosen One of Heaven. Repeatedly throughout history, Kali would rebuild his forces and strike again. Each time, God would select a new champion to face off against him. Each time, Kali's forces would be defeated, but the Man-Demon inherited his father's cunning and each time, he escaped defeat with his life. A trend began in response. Each time, Kali would come stronger than before, so previous Chosen Ones, or those they trust with the task if they perish before the opportunity, have taken to training their successors. With each successive generation, they grow stronger, refining their abilities, fine-tuning their talents. Ki training soon found its place alongside martial prowess and physical abilities began to expand beyond the normal boundaries of human ability.
Three hundred years ago, God chose a set of twins as the Chosen One, with their combined power making them superior to a single man. So connected were they, however, that no matter how much one grew, they shared energy and would remain completely equal. Raiden Brooks grew jealous of his twin Darien because of this and Kali did not hesitate to take advantage of this. Offering Raiden power greater than his brother, Kali asked his service in return. Greedily accepting, Raiden quickly became Kali's right-hand man, and though their bond ensured that they still remained completely even, Darien as a single half of what was meant to be a whole could not match the full power of the Man-Demon. Though he successfully drove back his forces, Kali easily knocked him around and his own brother threw him out of Kali's palace. The bond kept him from perishing, however, and he and his brother both continued honing their abilities for the next three centuries, achieving eternal life through extremely precise control over their bodies' energies.
Then came Star, noteworthy for being the first female Chosen One. She was aggressive, rash, prone to violence and extremely protective of those close to her. A major tomboy, she once considered even entering track and field and competing in events like the shotput, but her friends advised against it on the grounds that she'd only find it entertaining for the limited amount of time the guys could give her competition. Instead, she took martial arts and, having studied from a young age, was a black belt by the time she entered high school. She was quite good, or so she thought, and frequently went to tournaments with one of her best friends and fellow student Jonathon as her only regular competition.
That all changed when the Brooks Brothers decided to make her acquaintance via the tournament circuit, entering in an open one that her MA school was attending. Raiden was ruthless in his pummeling of a massive young man that fancied himself a sumo wrestler (but was really just fat and heavy) before throwing him out of the ring hard enough for the ton of blubber to bounce. Twice. He then went up against Jonathon and nearly crippled him before the match was ended. Meanwhile, Darien illustrated just how vastly outclassed Star was by freezing all movement but for the two of them and then moving so quickly that she couldn't even see him move and then dropping her with a single gut punch.
It would be almost an entire day before she found out more of what was going on, however. Kali sent Raiden to set up a trap and expose her to a special potion that would infect her senses. This potion stained her permanently and rendered her comatose. While her body rested in the hospital, her soul was locked in Kali's shadow realm where Raiden sought to train her, a chore he was forced to do despite his allegience and therefore aimed to do so in a fashion that would ultimately hinder her. Although she was only in the coma for a week, it seemed infinitely longer in that prison plane, but she ultimately managed to escape and awoke in the hospital.
Before Kali could reclaim her, Darien took her under his wing and picked up her training where his twin left off, though he could hardly be considered a gentler taskmaster. Nevertheless, with her under his protection, Kali was forced to accelerate his plans and sent Raiden out again, this time to kidnap one of her friends to lure her into a conflict with her corrupted predecessor. While he first fought relatively close to her level, when she began to overpower him, he struck her down with a ki blast, a technique he had not yet taught her before she escaped. This critical life-or-death event led to her accessing the Angelic Gift for the first time as she begged the powers that be for strength and Raiden was quickly forced to retreat.
The next major push against Kali's forces involved her going face-to-face with a massive, horned, balor-like demon that seemed to overpower her. Though she had since learned ki blasts and flight, he hammered her out of the sky into a spring that he and his forces had been seeking to acquire for its mystical properties. This was the mythical Spring of Life, with unlimited life energy. Though severely beaten, the energies of the spring restored her body, and while the demon floated above, gloating over his victory, she came rocketing back out at full power and riding on the boost from the spring to clock him back. Though the battle was over shortly after, the effects would be long-lasting. She had shown aptitude for using her ki to heal others very early on, but the energy that infused her being enhanced that, granted her regeneration of her own and, perhaps what she finds the most annoying, ensured that she would never age another day.
There have been other battles since then, and her clashes with Kali continue, but each victory brings her a little closer to a final showdown with the Man-Demon. In the meantime, she does not hesitate to help in other battles, even if they have nothing to do with him. Just because she's trained to fight one force of evil, she sees no logic in the reasoning that she shouldn't help defend others against other forces as well.
Powers:
Specific Energy Manipulation Abilities:
Specific Angelic Gift Abilities:
Weapons: The King's Blade, a magical weapon in the form of an English Longsword. She doesn't use it very often, almost never, as her fists and ki are usually more than sufficient. She can summon it at will and it manifests in her grip. While summoned, it augments her combat abilities, marking another reason why she saves it. It works quite well as a sort of backup battery, if you will. It is, however, a very selective weapon, only permitting itself one master, and will burn anyone else who attempts to grasp it. Those stubborn enough to try to keep holding onto it will continue to be assaulted with exponential force until they perish. Let it be repeated for absolute clarification: ANYONE other than Star who attempts to wield the King's Blade for longer than a few moments will be killed.
Weakness: She's not Supergirl. A bullet to the head will still kill her - provided you can hit her with it, and with enough force to pierce her skin, of course. Toxic gases and anything else toxic to a normal human being can still kill her, though she has much greater endurance and her regeneration helps her recover more quickly. High levels of heat, cold, electricity, etcetera, all that can kill her, just like it can anyone else, though, once more, her body is more endurant and can take more punishment than a normal human being. She has a weak mental defense left open by her amateur telepathy.

Powers:
Energy Manipulation - Flight, Energy-based Attacks, Barriers, Teleportation, Healing.
Martial Arts - American Martial Arts, 3rd degree Black Belt, Swordsmanship
Angelic Gift - The ability to, upon proper occasion, channel the powers of the angels of Heaven to transform into her Angelic form and utilize the powers therein.
Superhuman Strength - The ability to exert more physical force than a normal human, far more. Star can shatter rock with a single blow and rip steel apart like paper.
Superhuman Speed - The ability to move and/or react at speeds far beyond the rate of a normal human. Modern fighter jets can fly at Mach 4 and she can make them seem like snails. Bullets move in super slow motion to her senses.
Superhuman Endurance - The ability to take a greater amount of damage or toxins or the ability to incur less damage from a similarly delivered blow. Star can endure far more punishment than a normal human. Also, blunt and energy weapons do far less to her, due to her increased body tension and energy experience.
Specific Energy Manipulation Abilities:
Triplicate - This skill splits Star's energy three ways to form two clones. She doesn't necessarily have to make three of herself, but this is what she tends to use. Each person has an individual mind, which allows them to act independently without the lag of a single mind controlling each one.
Energy Slicer - Forming a spinning disc of energy in one hand, Star throws it like a discus. Its saw-like nature allows it to cut through anything without resistance, but once launched, she possesses no control over its trajectory. With further concentration, she can use two at once, called "Double Slicer," and maintain a link to it through its energy, which allows her to direct them both remotely, but while doing so, she cannot use any other energy manipulation.
Energy Wave - Star's single most powerful energy attack in her normal form. She focuses all of her body's energy into a single attack. She uses it as a last resort, however, as it leaves her drained and causes a great deal of destruction.
Healing - She possesses regeneration far greater than a normal human, able to seal up a wound almost as fast as it is dealt, though this takes energy and can drain her over time. She can also use this ability to regenerate lost limbs. Also, she can channel her energies to heal another, provided she can reach them.
Energy Sense - She can sense the energies of others. Weak or suppressed energies are harder to pick out. This can help her determine how strong someone is. It also serves as a sort of fingerprint, as no two energy signature is alike, allowing her to detect identities and locations of another, even if they are hidden behind an illusion or out of sight.
Teleportation - Star can teleport to anywhere she has seen before, any place she has pulled out of another's head, or, when used in conjunction with her Energy Sense, to any power level she can get a lock on.
Telepathy - She can read thoughts and broadcast her own, as well as use it to gather information or share it. However, her psionic defenses are extremely weak, which means that a well-timed mental burst can disable or disorient her for a time if it can catch her off-guard.
Flight - She can use her energy to provide thrust and flight.
Energy Blasts - She can fire generic energy blasts by channeling her energy, using them as explosive projectiles of varying strengths.
Specific Angelic Gift Abilities:
Transformation - Her form undergoes a supernatural transformation into her Angelic Form. Her hair and eyes return to their original colors and great, transparent wings spread out from her back. In place of the King's Blade, she uses a sword of holy light. Her wings can be used to shield herself and others from attack.
Heaven's Charge - A single-target holy attack of immense power, accessible only in her Angelic Form.
Heaven's Wave - A wave-like holy attack of immense power used to target a group of enemies, accessible only in her Angelic Form.
