Name: Jeremiah "Hawkeye" Gerome
Age: Mid-Twenties, he is unsure of where, exactly.
Gender: Male
Race: Human - Mutant (Unaware)
Alignment: Lawful Good
Power Level: High-tier Low (3), but would be Mid-to-High-tier Medium if he still had access to all of his abilities.
Timeline: Modern/Very Near Future
Appearance: Jeremiah is a handsome young man who stands just over six feet in height with green eyes and brown hair that has that messy, need a trim look to it. When out on a job, his slacks are tucked into his black combat boots and his buttoned shirt is protected by a kevlar vest. In addition, his heavy blue overcoat has armor, as well, for further protection. Unless it's too hot for it, the overcoat is usually fastened shut. There are ammunition stores on his belt, but also stashed inside his coat, on his legs and, in case of emergency, even a couple spare shells stuffed in his boots.
Personality: Good-natured but something of a loner, Jeremiah has nothing against people. Rather, his history, or lack of one, makes it difficult to socialize with others much. He tries to live in the present, but ultimately ends up dwelling on the past, mulling over the vast emptiness in his mind in the hopes of salvaging some scrap of what might have been, what might have happened, and most importantly, who he once was.
History: Jeremiah Gerome was found in the ruins of a condemned building that had gone down early in an explosion that hadn't been related to any charges the company in charge had set, the same ruins that the girl called Crystal was dug out of. Despite some relatively minor injuries (Jeremiah had a broken bone or two and numerous lacerations, while Crystal had mostly bumps and bone bruises), the two weren't terribly injured, but both had concussions due to the collapse of the structure and when they woke up, neither had any recollection of who they were, what they were doing there or any other memory of their life before then.
While Crystal was circulated into foster care and the school system, Jeremiah, an adult, was pretty much left to his own devices to fend for himself. Such was society. After wandering and doing various odd jobs to get by, he found the first familiar thing to him when he picked up a handgun in a pawn shop. His wanderings had brought him into a somewhat dangerous neighborhood and the sidearm was recommended for his personal safety. He had been scouting models and prices out before taking the permit exam. The particular model he had just picked up had been a .45 Desert Eagle.
So fascinated was he by the simultaneous sense of deja vu and comfort just wrapping a hand around the grip that he didn't notice a couple others come in. Their intentions were to do a different type of shopping, however, and immediately drew weapons on those inside. On sheer instinct, Jeremiah got down to one knee, flipped the safety off and took solid, immediate aim, unaware in the moment of adrenaline that the clip was empty. When he pulled the trigger, however, it actually fired. Though it was too fast for anything to really register that it WASN'T a bullet, or at least not swear it off later, it had actually been a blast of energy, and it punched a hole through the would-be burglar in front. The other, neither having been expecting actual armed resistance, immediately dropped his weapons and bolted back out the door.
Simultaneously grateful for the rescue and apologetic for being dunce enough to not clear the chamber of the weapon (after all, even though he was sure he had done so to all of his weapons, what other explanation could there be for the gun going off?), the owner promised it to him at no cost after the police were done questioning them and he had taken his firearms test.
Since then, his unusual accuracy, instincts and personal integrity have earned him regular work as a freelancer for the police force and similar enforcement agencies. As a bounty hunter/mercenary, he travels now even more than ever before, reinforcing the nickname he earned with disturbing speed. To date, no criminal he's been hired to capture has managed to escape him, aided by the fact that it's remarkably difficult to outrun a perfect bullet.
Powers: His primary abilities are an uncanny level of accuracy and a passive, comparatively minor enhancement to the punch of solid-round weapons. Even with the powerful Eagle, he seems incapable of missing. If he knows where he wants to shoot, he can almost instantly line up the shot perfectly every time. Note that this does not change the flight path of the round and the bullet cannot go around corners, over cover or through any other maneuver a bullet cannot normally perform, though lining up ricochets are fully possible.
In times of duress and when he does not realize his clip is empty, he may discharge an energy blast from the barrel. This is a component of his mutant powers that he is unaware of and cannot control. He cannot do this if he is trying to do so, if he is not under pressure, if there are still rounds in the gun or if he is aware that it is out of bullets. When he does do it, however, it is comparable to a mid-tier medium blast. Still, being unexpected and unintentional, this comes with its own risks, making unintended overkill, collateral damage and even civilian attrition a dangerous possibility.
Equipment: .45 Desert Eagle. Also usually carries an earpiece radio.
Weakness: Though slightly tougher than an average human, this isn't really meaningfully beyond that of a trained soldier, and anything that can kill a normal human can still just as easily kill him. Despite his ability to aim, he does not actually possess increased reaction times.
In addition, he is protective of Crystal (though as she retained more of her powers, she does not actually need the protection, but neither really seems to think of that) and she could easily be used to bait him.
