Name: Vesper
Power Level: Medium
Time Period: Modern
Race: Demon - Succubus
Age: N/A
Hair Color: Blonde streaked with red
Hair Style: Loose, past her shoulders
Eye color: Red
Personality: Flirtacious, controlling, and manipulative, though she folds like a wet sack under the right conditions.
Bio: She's in the business of souls. And she enjoys it greatly. She is a succubus, a sex demon, for lack of a prettier term, and she works in a time where a supernatural war is being waged.
Demonic forces battle openly for control of the human race, and the forces of Heaven, in whatever wisdom they hold, have not shown themselves. The humans are left to fend for themselves against the onslaught of Hell's forces. But not all of Satan's army serves on the front line. Succubi and Inccubi, the whores of Hell, work behind the enemy lines, giving some peace and happiness to weary and exhausted soldiers who have known nothing but constant terror and fear and bloodshed, a relief too many are all too willing to give their immortal souls for.
In the middle of an American city, one group of Christian fighters, as close to a family as any blood-bred group, wall themselves into an abandoned house in defense against the forces that seek to destroy them every waking hour, sealing themselves in with guns, locks, and as much of their tattered faith as they can muster in such times.
A young man, Blake Fischer, knows that they can't hold out forever, and sooner or later, their supplies will run out, their guns will jam, the walls will break, and they will die.
The force finds a woman, beaten and seeming to be on the edge of death, on one of their runs for supplies. They bring her inside and treat her wounds. When she comes to, she introduces herself as Vesper. She said she worked for the other side, until conflict rose between her and a commanding officer over a human child. She told them that she was beaten and thrown out into the streets to die with the humans she tried to speak for, and the child was taken for whatever disgusting purposes the demons could think of, probably tortured until she died.
As time moves on, the demons discover where the fighters are holed up in, and they make moves to destroy them once and for all. Blake turns to the only person he can think of to help them: Vesper. He asks her to give him the power to save his family. She agrees. Her price: One night.
The next morning, the Blake that comes into the Strategy Room is very different from the one that left it the night previous. His skin is paler, his hair is wilder, and he is dressed in black and red. Nobody said anything, but everybody knew. One look was all it took to tell them, but not one of them said a word.
When they prepared for the attack, Blake shunned the rifle handed to him, and took a place at the front. What followed was something that the survivors would never forget.
Vesper had kept her word. The dark powers she had granted Blake were incredible, but he was inexperienced in their use, and the demons were many and powerful. The battle seemed to rage for several hours before a retreat was called, Blake and whoever still had ammunition holding the front while the remainders fled the city. Out of that front line, only Blake survived, but the rest of his family escaped into the relative safety of the open countryside outside the cities.
He came out of it bloody and limp, but Vesper came and helped him to safety, nursing him back to health. When he asked why she had stayed, she claimed that she still had to teach him how to use his powers, but it seemed like a poor excuse. Still, she brought him back to health and began teaching him how to control the dark energies, and now, they travel, trying to find the remnants of his family from that literal Hellhold, and hoping and praying that there is a way to stop this war once and for all.
