(Bit of a skeleton, just to get it back up...)
Name: Lord James XIV of Lancaster, King of Griffons. (You may address him as "His Majesty")
Age: 879, appears to be in his late twenties.
Gender: Male
Race: Human (Cursed)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Power Level: Low-tier medium
Timeline: Medieval, Modern.
Appearance-
Human form: Gray-blue eyes, short, dull, and unkempt brown hair, pale skin, somewhat large nose, thin build, 6 feet tall, general sulky expression. Dons plain-looking blue pants and tunic, a blue cape that looks suspiciously like a blanket. Wears a wooden crown with colored pebbles glued on that his wife made for him, though he actually has a treasure horde hidden away with plenty of real crowns. Carries a thick staff with a fist-sized sapphire set in the end like a scepter, frequently whacks people with it.
Griffin form: About the size of a large lion, with a condor's 12ft wingspan. Drab brown feathers, light tan fur. Gold hawk eyes. Possesses the same crown in this form, as well.
Personality: Is completely delusional, believing himself to be the king of griffons. Prideful and prone to mood swings. Despises horses, and dislikes just about anything that isn't a griffon, though he respects formidable power. Frequently walks among humans in his own human form, commanding them to bow before his majesty. Is capable of making and understanding normal English, though he dislikes too much small talk. Is easily won over to either side of any issue, through lies or otherwise, as long as it doesn't necessarily conflict with his being the king of the griffins. Is surprisingly rather ignorant of real monarch history and traditions. Found lacking in the common sense department.
History:
(*sob* It was a masterpiece.)
James was once a gypsite, but due to ingestion of an evil witch's transformation potion some eight centuries ago, was cursed to the form of a toad. Several horrible experiments later, his lover, a vampire named Daisy, managed to get this form changed to a griffon, which was at least better than being a toad, but the various potions ruined his mind. They later discovered that he changes back to his original form in the light of a full moon, and he has since gained control of this transformation.
When the evil witch they'd had to serve refused to grant them a week's freedom for the honeymoon after their marriage, James accidentally killed her by smashing a potion at her feet, causing her to turn into a pair of socks. Now freed from the witch's restraining spell, James and Daisy left, and have since made a humble living selling potions and stealing sheep, which has supported them for hundreds of years. It will be their 796th anniversary in October.
Powers: The ability to change between griffon and human forms at will. Has the normal capabilities of both races. Despite living with an apothecary for over three fourths of a millenium, has never picked up a recipie. Has gained a strange immunity to most potions, especially transformation ones. No longer ages, a side effect of the original potion. Is an excellent boxer.
Misc: Is also capable of halfway transformations, a talent learned just to be able to jump up and spook the witch on some stormy night.
Weapons: His royal scepter is actually quite handy. Occasionally supplied with a bottled mixture or two by Daisy, but these often no more than smoke bombs, sneezing or itching powder, and soup.
Weaknesses: James is easily deceived, loves Daisy to a fault and does anything for her sake, has a bad habit of claiming to be Lord over whatever forests and cities he happens to pass through, and has a wheat allergy. He is also bound to his human form if fully exposed to the light of a full moon.
