Name: "Jacob Reed" Real name: Jared Wallace
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Human (mutated)
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Power Level: Medium: Mid tier.
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: Long, messy brown hair. Brown eyes. White skin. Usually wears very casual, old clothes, including a long coat with sleeves that go over his arms, so he can hide the claws on his hands, as well as his extra pair of arms.
In a fight or other hairy situation, Jared may grow a thick exoskeleton made of bone that covers 90% of his body.
Personality: Very secretive and slow to give details about himself, he begins to warm up when he feels comfortable around someone. Is paranoid when it comes to his identity and is extremely distrustful of any government agencies, and avoids them at all costs.
Despite all this, he is willing to help those in need of helping, sometimes even risking his life, and identity to do so.
History: Raised in a small midwestern town in a typical nuclear family. His father was a former Marine who instilled Jared with all the morals and values he carries today, especially his value of human life. He enlisted with the armed services as soon as he had graduated high school. Normally, he would have been shipped to Iraq, since the war had just started that year. However, Jared was randomly selected for a top secret Special Ops project.
The project was an attempt to create a squad of powerful superhumans who could be used to assassinate the enemies of the government. Jared was slightly displeased at the thought of assassinations, but realized he could help change the world for the better when he realized that the government would send him against people like Kim-Jong-Il and the fundamentalists in charge of Iran.
Jared and the three other young men selected for the project were exposed to gamma radiation in controlled amounts. Though the mutations caused some drawbacks, such as bright light sensitivity, the project was considered a success, due to the increased offensive power and resiliency each member recieved. The teams' assignments started off as expected; taking out terrorist camps, eliminating warlords, stopping drug cartels.
One day, however, the squad recieved orders to eliminate a newly formed rebel group in Turkey. This group was deemed a terrorist organization by the United States government, but was, in reality, a group of Kurdish freedom fighters who had armed themselves in order to resist the Turkish government's oppression. Jared and the others killed the guards of the compound the group had chosen as its base. Their orders were to eliminate everyone inside the compound, but Jared could not follow through on those orders, as the rest of the base was populated by the families of the men they had just killed. Though, they didn't relish the job, Jared's teammates did as ordered, fearful of what a superpower might do to a group of disobedient super soldiers who weren't even supposed to exist.
As soon they got back from their mission, Jared decided he'd become fed up with killing people, even if it was for his country. He used his stealth training, and incredible climbing powers to escape undetected in the night. He made his way across the country swiftly, heading straight for a large city. There, he hoped he could disappear.
Powers: Extra arms and clawson each hand. Enhanced physical strength, including leg muscles which allow him to leap long distances, and give him powerful kicks. He can stick to most surfaces and climb them easily, even if they are vertical or upside down.
He has an exoskeleton, but can supress the mutation by focusing a part of his mind, making it possible to go out in public.
Finally, once per day, Jared can release a powerful lightning bolt from his body.
Weapons: Usually uses his claws, but could easily wield a variety of weapons with considerable skill. From a baseball bat or other, similar blunt object, to an M-16 machinegun.
Weakness: Sensitive to bright light. Somewhat weak against mind-affecting spells and abilities, especially when supressing his exoskeleton. His mutated pheromones anger animals. i.e. a dog would bark angrily, and a large dog would even attack.
