Name: Maria Combateare
Age: Appears 21
Allignment: Good
Timeline: Modern
Species: Lumina
Power Level: Mid-Tier High
Appearance: Maria stands at about six feet. She either wears the white and yellow ceremonial robes of the Necrival Emperess, though rarely, or a white shirt and blue jeans. She has her blonde hair neatly combed and often has some sort of flower pinned in it. Her ears have the slight point of a Lumina, wich became evident once she stumbled upon Iden, and her hazel eyes are cloudy and glow dimly.
History: Maria was a student in Journalism in the same college that Wallace attended when he escaped capture of the M.I.S.S., and interdimensional organization designed for the "safety" of the cosmos. Maria first met Wallace after she found him passed out on the street (his immunity to intoxication did not work on Earth, and, not knowing this, was convinced to challenge someone to a drinking contest) and took him to her apartment. However, Maria's mother actually met Wallace before. Coleen Amoretza was a Lumina scientist working for the M.I.S.S.. After knowing Wallace for a while and seeing that he was being treated more as a lab rat and weapon than a person, Coleen busted Wallace out. Wallace's escape was traced back to Coleen and she was killed. Later on Wallace was relocated, and the M.I.S.S. saw his affection for Maria and decided to attempt to kidnap Maria, who did not know of her Lumina heiritage or her mother's involvement with Wallace. Wallace recontacted the old gang and traveled back to Iden to seek the assistance of Mike Zor'Hell. Unknown to him, Mike and Maria "met" before, being a couple until Mike moved to Japan and Maria later moving to the U.S.. The group eventually freed Maria, who was now suffering amnesia, a common ailment when Lumina undergo extreme mental anguish or stress. Maria's personality as an amnesiac was a harsh blow for Wallace, she practically hated him. Nonetheless Wallace stayed loyal to the girl, despite not even telling her that he even liked her back on Earth. Maria's amnesia was eventually cured and the two later married. While Maria was placed in charge of the Necrival Empire, she turned the control over to Wallace, making him the first male leader of the empire. Maria stays behind the scenes, walking through the streets like a commoner, no one except Wallace's friends even knows she's the Emperess. Maria works as a journalist.
Weapon: A plain old staff. Nothing particularily special about it, and considering Maria's frail body structure and poor close combat skills, it's even more mundane.
Personality: Like all Lumina, Maria has a varied personality. On one side she is very sweet and cheerful, yet nonetheless has a bit of a mischevious and malevolent streak in her. She has a bit of a small disdain for Rina, whom she feels took Mike away from her, but she's over it and feels Wallace is better for her anyway. She's considered as part of the gang more than just some girl Wallace is married to. She hates being treated as the damsel in distress that hides behind Wallace almost everytime danger rears it's ugly head. Unfortunately, this presumption is not without justification and some truth.
Powers: Maria's powers are based on her magic and psychokenetic abilities which are what make her mid-tier high. Where a character like Kira and Archer Haize can be considered the muscle and weaponry end of the team, Maria is focused on powerful magic that outstrips many others. The sky is the limit for Maria when it comes to magic, but her most sophisticated attacks are focused on destroying the mind rather than the body. Maria's specialty with her psychokenetics is healing and energy manipulation.
Weakness: All of the Lumina racial weaknesses, prone to mental breakdowns under extreme stress and a very frail body. Not exactly the best in hand to hand.
