Appearance: Coleo's skin is a rusty red and is quite shiny, indicating his exoskeleton. He has dark green compund eyes, yet they have a human shape rather than an insect one, and there are the faintest of human features, like the hintings at an iris. His face has slight human similarities, though he has a pair of sharp mandibles coming from the sides of his mouth and instead of a nose, he has a long horn going past the top of his head. His torso appears to be human enough, with the dark gold uniform of the Necrival Royal Gaurd. The uniform is similar to a high ranking general's uniform from earth. Coleo has a second pair of arms that are just as powerful looking as his first. Coleo's uniform has no sleeves, so his bony, shiny arms are exposed. His hands have the standard five fingers of a human, but the tips of them are sharp, much like an insect's appendages. His legs bear no particular feature that sets them apart, he wears the pants of his dress uniform over them, but one can assume they are of the same type of build as his four arms. His feet have no shoes, showing that they have three sharp toes at the front and a single talon at the back. The hard-as-steel outer wing layer of a beetle (known as the elytra) covers Coleo's back down to the hips. Both this and his second, flight usage set of wings (the alae) are above his clothing. Coleo's elytra is decorated with a black etching of some sort of royal crest depicting a dragon encircling a winged sword. While not exactly the most attractive creature to walk this world, he is appearantly attractive to other insect type necrival.
Personality: A man of strong will and unshakable loyalty. When Coleo sets his mind to something, he will not quit. He does his best to keep less experienced warriors in good spirits, and while he maintains a no nonsense attitude, he does so kindly and is the type of commander the typical grunt can approach when they have a dilemma. When with his friends, he is a bit sarcastic and shows a good sense of humour. Coleo can take a joke about his appearance and species. However, this is only if he knows the person is only joking. He tolerates people's ignorance, but only if it's not their fault (In other words, he accepts the "Holy cow! A giant bug!", but not "Hah! A bumbling, idiotic, ugly necrival!").
History: Coleo's history is not much worth noting. He was a member of a noble family in the Necrival Empire, enrolling in the millitary and being of great aid in the war against the Horde, a hive-mind race of hideous monsters. During his time of service, he was eventually given the high honour of becoming a member of the royal gaurd (or imperial gaurd, as some call it). Eventually he was made commander of the royal gaurd and as such was given access to the empire's biggest secrets. He's one of the few that knows of Maria Combateare's identity outside her group of friends. Coleo's unshaking loyalty is often tested when a sardonic human named "Pierce" calls him and asks him to do tasks "on behalf of the Emperor Wallace dude".
Powers: Racial Abilities: Coleo has both an exoskeleton and an inner skeleton, he has an immense amount of strength and his biological powers give him unnatural speed. His physical prowess alone sets him at a high power level, which is why he can use four swords - two of them intended for two handed use - so effectively.
Flight: Despite his bulk, Coleo is a fairly good flyer, using his body rather than energy manipulation or magic.
Magic Power: Coleo's magical element as a necrival is poison. He has the power to create and manipulate poisons and acids with complete efficiency. Coleo can make his very bory toxic to the touch, and he oftentimes has his swords carry an acidic and poisonous property. He can create toxic gases with his body as well, and can spit acid, a quality some beetles on earth use.
Artificial Magic: A technique recently used to impart powers on other elements on necrival. Coleo has the power of electricity and energy manipulation, but his control is not as absolute as his toxic powers.
Biokenesis: The power over the body at molecular levels, such is part of his poison abilities. He can also use this to recover from wounds.
Weapons: A sabre (link to picture), a highland claymore (link to picture, a falcata (link to picture) and a shamshir (link to picture) make Coleo's hand to hand weapons. Of course, when in modern combat, he scraps these and uses four plasma rifles instead.
Weakness: Water. Also, Coleo's second wings, (the alae, for those that have been paying attention) are easily injured when exposed, crippling his flight.
