Name: H.A.C.S. (Humanoid Autonomic Combat System)
Age: N/A
Gender: N/A
Race: Machine
Alignment: True Neutral
Power Level: High-tier High (9)
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: A huge, hulking figure of a man, probably nine, ten feet tall, H.A.C.S. always wears slacks, a buttoned shirt over an undershirt, a huge trench coat and black shades. A unit can be Caucasian or African-American in design; this is simply aesthetic and indicates no difference in functionality. The sunglasses hide mechanically red eyes and the skin is a polymer over a metallic chassis.
Personality: N/A
History: The H.A.C.S. combat units are built secretly by Sigmacorp and are under the direct command of the founder and C.E.O. Karasawa Dante. They serve as bouncers, hitmen, guards and generally any position a semi-legitimate crime lord could need an unquestioningly loyal heavy.
They have no emotional subroutines, no advanced artificial intelligence and no capacity for original thought outside of their adaptive combat protocols. They are simply designed to be brutally efficient at one thing, and that's making a grease stain out of whomever Dante tells them.
Because of their efficiency, however, it is rare to see more than one at a time, and because of their expendable nature, one will often be allowed to fight until it is destroyed rather than calling it out before then.
Powers:
Hulking Strength - H.A.C.S. boasts tremendously inhuman brute strength, but is proportionally slow-moving. While its incredible strength allows it to reach high linear speeds, this is much like a train, as it has to be built up and is incapable of sudden directional changes. Moment to moment speed is horrendously slow and the unit must rely on its response time to react to an opponent rather than chase one down.
Artificial Reaction Speed - With the absolute latest in combat recognition software - and perhaps even beyond that, considering Sigmacorp's fondness for forcefully "acquiring" alien technology - H.A.C.S. can compensate for its low speed with incredibly high response time. While still hidden behind its slothy movements, it can recognize, process and prepare responses to incoming threats at speeds that belay its incredible bulk.
Alloyed Hull - The H.A.C.S. unit's chassis is a solid metallic hull that can shrug off incredible punishment, including atmospheric reentry and crash landings, but the material is superconductive. A sufficiently potent electrical charge can fry all of its systems.
Synthetic Flesh Polymer - The "skin" of a H.A.C.S. unit serves an additional purpose besides blending in. It is a tear/gash/cut-resistant polymer that relays electrical charges harmlessly into the ground in order to protect the vulnerable circuitry within the mechanical golem. Even powerful bolts of electricity can be ground out without allowing it to reach the unit's superconductive chassis. If tears occur, the unit becomes vulnerable, but a direct shot to the tear must be made. If an intact path through the polymer can be found all the way down and the blow lands on it, instead, the jolt will be harmlessly discharged, avoiding the tear.
Energy Scan Invisibility - Because it is a machine, the H.A.C.S. unit has no capacity whatsoever for energy manipulation. This results in it being rendered completely undetectable to senses or scans that detect individuals based on their energy readings, making it ideal for hit jobs on high-powered targets.
Multi-Scan Subsystem - A H.A.C.S. unit comes equipped with a multitude of scanners and visor modes, including all levels of the spectrum, heat, x-ray and energy output.
Weapons:
Sonic Cannon - Either arm of the unit can shift into a cannon capable of firing high frequency sonic bursts. Because of their concentrated nature and high (36,000 THz) frequency, the blasts are quite potent and appear as light blue beams that travel on par with even the speed of blasts from high-powered opponents. Each cannon can fire approximately 20,000 shots before they burn out their cores and must be replaced.
Weakness: An almost nonexistent moment-to-moment linear speed, incapable of emotional response, weight prevents the unit from staying afloat and it lacks higher reasoning capabilities.
