Name: Rachael (can't recall her last name, can't think of a good one. I'm open to suggestions.)
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Alignment: Neutral Good
Power Level: Mid-tier Medium (5)
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: Just a touch on the short side, proportionally built. She has blonde hair that goes down to the middle of her back and usually wears a red bandana over her head. She wears a red blouse, black shorts and running shoes.
Personality: A pretty cheerful young lady who loves pokemon and the adventures she can have with them. She's good-hearted and has a soft spot for the cute, weak and injured (and absolutely incapacitated by a combination of all three). She actually wants to become a Pokemon nurse when she becomes an adult, but her love of adventure has kept her from spending a great deal of time studying thus far, and from her perspective, it's not like she's in college yet, anyway, so she still has time to worry about that later.
History: Like most serious trainers, Rachael is a drifter, making only occassional visits back to her home town of EverGrande City. She hasn't lived steadily in the large metropolis for nearly two years now, and while she was perhaps a city girl starting out, she's come to love the wide open spaces of the wild over the cramped concrete jungle of her massive home city.
Her start on her ongoing adventure was fairly mundane. Her very first pokemon, given to her by the local gym, was not her Blaziken as many may first think, for its pre-evolution form's popularity as such, but Gardevoir, then only a shy little girl. Then a Raltz, she was actually a bit hidden in the cacophony of noise as trainers-to-be and future friends paired off. She was actually being bullied by a rather rude houndour puppy who had her cornered when Rachael came up on them.
She reprimanded the dog and picked the little psychic up to protect her, and for the first time, she felt that intense mental bonding that would link the two from then on. It surprised her so much that she only vaguely noticed an equally trouble-looking boy come up and show an interest in the Houndour. In retrospect, she would think of how perfect the boy and dog were for each other, and picking up on the thought, Gardevoir would always agree.
She met Blaziken and Shiftry soon after she and Ralts started on their adventure. The two of them had gotten cornered by a bunch of Seedots led by a mischievous but crafty Nuzleaf. Ralts' weak psionics had no effect on the dark pokemon, but Torchic, even then with the heart of a heroine, intervened. After the fire chicken had roasted the Seedots and had the Nuzleaf begging for mercy, the plant offered to join Rachael in exchange for his life, and expecting trouble, Torchic joined, as well.
Aggron was perhaps the least eventful. As she was passing through a small city, she found they were having trouble keeping their bridges up. She discovered a passive little Aron munching idly away at the steel supports. It was so cute she couldn't bear the idea of letting the people put it down to protect their bridge, so instead, she took it with her.
Feebas was something of a comical event. Someone dumped what they claimed was a cute little pokemon on her because they thought it was worthless. Hitting two of her weaknesses, she accepted, only to find out it was an ugly little Feebas. Rachael was originally disgusted by the thing, but under then-Kirlia's insistance, kept the thing, feeding it sweet candies that were to increase its sheen and other such beauty-related things. The day it evolved into Melotic, she was glad she had listened to her friend's advice.
Salamence is actually the last of the six she acquired, when she was given an egg by a dying dragon that had been fending off Team Magma grunts, but had taken too many injuries, even though she had successfully kept her nest safe from the raiding gang. He was the only egg in her brood, and Rachael has raised him in his mother's stead.
Over the course of her adventures, she has travelled over most of Hoenn and has gathered an impressive collection of badges, but still hasn't gotten around to grabbing two, and hasn't really ever left the region for others. She also runs into that boy and his dog - now a Houndoom - with some degree of annoying frequency. He's still something of a bully, and while a strong trainer who enjoys lording it over others, his bragging ways usually fall short of affecting Rachael. Instead, she usually ends up dragging him away from his would-be victims by the ear. They're actually on relatively good terms for such polar rivals, though neither would admit to it if asked, and really doesn't think of the other as anything more than a thorn.
Powers: Just her pokemon.
Weapons: None
Weakness: All human weaknesses. If seperated from her pokemon, she is low-tier low in power level.

Powers: Just her pokemon.
Name: Gardevoir
Type: Psychic
Gender: Female
Personality: Far more bold than when she was a little girl, partly due to her companionship with Rachael as well as with Blaziken, to whom she has become a fast friend. Most of her boldness is due to Blaziken boosting her confidence and encouraging her to stand up for herself, rather than cower away. She still prefers nonviolent solutions to problems rather than breaking into a brawl, and if she can't talk something out, will try to use her psychic powers to charm or, failing that, disable her attacker, but is fully capable of blasting them away if she has to.
Name: Blaziken
Type: Fire/Fighting
Gender: Female
Personality: Quick to anger and enjoying good brawls, Blaziken's love of battle should not be confused with her courage and bravery. She has a hero's heart and stands up for those who cannot without hesitation. In addition to her frequent workouts, she has also developed a love of dancing, encouraged by Gardevoir, finding that it was more physically challenging than simple exercises and every bit as physically demanding. It's not uncommon to see the two dancing together, with Blaziken taking the lead.
Name: Aggron
Type: Steel/Rock
Gender: Male
Personality: Very laid back, placid even when Rachael found him, he takes things in stride, a mindset he can take even in battle in confidence with his steel hide. He's hard to anger and is content to allow the ladies, Gardevoir and Blaziken, to fight, though he's become somewhat protective of them and Rachael, and if they can't handle it, he doesn't hesitate to come in and dish out some heavy hits of his own. In times like these, his lax behaviors are gone, and he can be incredibly brutal, even going so far as to accost the attacking trainer.
Name: Shiftry
Type: Grass/Dark
Gender: Male
Personality: One word describes him perfectly: Trouble. While he has become less violent toward his allies, he's still almost always up to something, tormenting someone or setting up some prank or another. Blaziken is a favorite target, and he claims it's because she's a brave chicken - earning him a quick, fire-backed fist to the skull to interrupt his cackle - but it may be because ever since she first beat him, he's seen her as a goal, something to overcome and surpass, forming a rivalry that, in all honesty, Blaziken really doesn't mind, as she, too, favors such aggressive goal-setting.
Name: Melotic
Type: Water
Gender: Female
Personality: Easy-going and contemplative, Melotic rarely acts without due thought. She finds Blaziken and Shiftry's hasty natures a waste of energy, and their endless contests of oneupmanship pointless and tiring. She finds kindred minds in Gardevoir and, to a lesser degree, Aggron, the latter of which because, while he enjoys taking his time, he enjoys the "shows" the two put on in the process. The water serpent finds such things immature, childish, and worst of all, barbaric, but understands it's in their nature and it is how they press themselves to improve. This, of course, doesn't change that she thinks they'd be better off just to meditate or focus their minds in some other, less volatile manner.
Name: Salamence
Type: Dragon/Flying
Gender: Male
Personality: Dominating and aggressive, it's in his nature to be defensive of his home, which is wherever his surrogate family is. Because they are his family, and have been since birth, he's extremely protective of them. Any act even construed as aggression can earn the dragon's fury, making him about as good around strangers as a rabid pit bull. Despite this, he's extremely loyal to Rachael, whom he imprints as his mother, and stands down when she tells him to. If she is in danger, he'll carve a bloody path of destruction to get to her and becomes edgy if he's apart from her for long without knowing she's okay. You would think Shiftry would torment this one more because of his attachments to his "mommy," but the trouble-maker seems to have enough brains to know better (and a scorch mark on his bum from the one time he tried).
Weapons: None
Weakness: All human weaknesses. If seperated from her pokemon, she is low-tier low in power level.
