Name: Ogata Sanzo
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Power Level: Mid-Leveled High
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: A very lazy face is the one that plagues the visage of Ogata Sanzo, his general aura of indifference made him quite the horrid persona when he was attending regular highschool. He’s generally very tall for his age (nearly reaching six feet and still growing), but this is offset by his rather skinny form (he only weighs about 120lbs). His long legs are usually always covered in various cuts and bruises, while his long arms give him and incredible reach (a reach that usually end up in the back pockets of young girls). His face is generally pretty long, with a few freckles plaguing his cheeks and the occasional acne outbreak on his chin makes him not what most girls would like, however beyond that he is a very handsome boy who maintains his child like charm and draw. His hair is of a dark blonde color (or light brown, whatever makes you feel more comfortable) although this is partially due to the fact that he spends most of his time in the sun.
His biceps have a very thin layer of lean muscle while his legs are much stronger, giving him a build of a runner, however he will deny running around a lot and claim that this is just a mixture of good old fashion genetics and of course time spent running away from the teachers at the academy for his antics and still till this day he is prideful in his academy days (going as far as having a smirk on his face whenever someone mentions them). In short Sanzo is a very tall and lax looking boy.
Personality:A troublemaker, pure and simple. Yes, he isn’t even a prankster, just a trouble maker. He promotes a certain lifestyle that merits “Doing what you want, when you want it”, although when looking deep into his persona it is obvious that it isn’t what he wants. On the outside (meaning what most people see) is a rather perverted and simple minded boy, who just wants to have fun. While this is true and Sanzo is almost constantly laughing, it doesn’t necessarily mean he is truly happy. He’s generally a bit more sensitive to emotional issues of his close friends, while completely apathetic to the issues of others. He’s a complete extrovert while maintaining an aura of mystery that most people find incredibly euphoric.
His very nature inspires someone thriving in crowds and this is true, when hearing the encouragement –either by them saying “Go Sanzo! Go!” or “No Sanzo! Don’t do it!” doesn’t matter-. Despite this, he is naturally a trickster, despite not being such a devious, pretentious person. He simply comes and goes, does as he wants, as he pleases, when he pleases, and however he pleases, regardless of the convenience (or lack thereof) of other people. This is not to say that he is completely oblivious to the rules, more so that he just doesn’t care about them, he wants to do things his way and be control of his own destiny, however he knows deep down inside that he cannot do this for the rest of his life.
To go onto his schooling –which he claims where the best times of his life-, he enjoyed it a lot since he was the center of attention, he hated the teachers and the teachers hated him, but he had such an established friendship with almost everyone in the house, the teachers would talk about how he commanded such respect even when he was punished and eventually the punishments gained a property of love in them. He’s generally courageous and loves participating in group discussions –meaning while he generally caused a lot of trouble, he was usually fairly active in the lessons-. He feels a certain alignment to the house, even he can’t explain it, but perhaps it’s because of the days at the academy that he finally feels at home.
History: Writing my biography? Meh, it’s really not at all as interesting as you might think. I was born and I’m living, that’s truly all there is to it…but I suppose if you’re some weird freak it might be interesting. I’ll tell you my story: I was born in Michigan, yes Michigan and I know I’m as much of a jap as Pikachu is so you’re all probably going, “What the fuck?!”, to put it simply though…my family is a family has always been on the run and when in hiding in Michigan , I was born. My father and mother? Well personally I’ve come to believe that there HAS to be some sort of cosmic force that has it, that somehow someway I chose the people that where to become my parents. My mother was a very warm, beautiful and hardworking person while my father was a very lax and caring individual –although he was a natural jokester-, I feel that these various quirks my parents had would make me choose them to raise me. So, nearly fourteen years ago I was conceived and thirteen years ago I was born.
My father was (and is) a scientist, possibly the world's greatest...he never gave me an explanation as to why I have the powers that I do (although they gave our lives so much trouble that I'm confident it had quite a bit of allocated research time), but he did save me from blindness -when I was twelve years old I would learn that he had a doctorate in both optics and has designed most of the "vision enhancements" the army uses today.- so I’m confident that he was a very intelligent man. While my father was nearing his thirties when I was born, my mother was only sixteen...she was a beautiful pixie of a woman and she loved me and my father very much, she was warm, and beautiful...well I suppose everyone has these feelings about their mother, anyways my parents where a very unique couple.
From an early age I was already aware and abusing my powers regularly, frequent calls from the elementary school principle that there had been several low grade tornado’s at the local playground where in direct cause of myself, I really don’t know why...but whenever something went wrong I was usually the one people blamed (though 95% of the time this was true) and it was here that my distaste for authority began to creep up. Of course I regretted this distaste for authority when I was six years old...like every child my mother said regularly not to look up into the sun, of course I didn’t listen to her, I was Ogata Sanzo...I was my own master.
I discovered flight that day and like that guy...you know the one with the wax wings? What was his name? Icarus, yes Icarus! I ended up flying way to high and looking directly into the sun. I don’t know why the wind cushioned my fall (although I’m always thankful for it), but I awoke to darkness...and significant pain. I spent months in that darkness (although my...well “wind sense” helped me function) and it was the scariest moment of my life. I gained partial eye-sight back when I was seven, but it soon became clear that I would never gain my original eye-sight back...it was then that my father decided to take matters into his own hands.
I couldn’t take you in depth with what he did, but I’m sure it was very complex optic surgery. I didn’t appreciate the effort though and at eleven years old I had my eye-sight back. I began noticing girls at this point...and well, abuse of my powers began becoming more common again. The little girls however loved me and I managed to have my first girlfriend (and well...”good time” as my parents say, somehow during my fathers medical examinations he knew immediatly), a girl named Grace. Two years of heaven spent at the school all went to shit when this kid, Jonas punched me in the face while I was sleeping in class (apparently Grace was his sister)...and I sorta lost control.
When I came back from my beserker rampage, I noticed the town was completley destroyed...a news cast I watched later would say several category five hurricanes hit it simultaneously, countless lives where lost and meteorologists where confused...
I however wasn’t and I left my home and my childhood that day, I would try my best not to lose control again...but I really don’t know if living my life worrying about losing control is what makes a man a man.
But, when I’m responsible for the destruction of an entire town at thirteen...I doubt knowing what makes a man a man should be on the top of my list of things I want to know.
Powers: Wind Manipulation
Perhaps Ogata Sanzo's only natural power, his manipulation of the wind is so fierce that he can never be caught off guard due to the fact that he's passively letting out gusts of winds frequently and can sense whenever said wind hits something (i.e. anything tangible), this is done almost constantly, but of course only works with solid objects, anything that isn't solid (i.e. spectral beings) would be immune to Sanzo tracking down.
By being able to control the wind being blasted off from his opponents as they run, Sanzo can move at equal speeds to anyone he's fighting against, once again this ability is done purely by thought. Offensively Sanzo can manipulate the wind to create winds that go from anywhere from a light breeze to winds to fierce hurricane winds (such moving at such a speed that they can nearly break the sound barrier itself and this is without Sanzo or anyone else assisting it with their own powers).
An ultimate defense of his is his armor of wind The wind forms a circle around the user, five feet in radius, so ten feet in diameter. The wind picks up debris and acts as armor for the user. The wind armor lasts for five posts. Debris on the ground strengthens the armor and projectiles thrown towards the wind also become part of the armor. A physical attack is useless against the armor. A low leveled character who gets caught in the wind will become part of the armor, Medium leveled characters will be knocked back five feet, and a high level character will be knocked back two feet. The only bad thing about this ultimate defense is that while in it Sanzo cannot manipulate his wind anymore (due to the highly compressed and semi-solid wind around him), so thus while conventional attacks are nigh impossible to hit him, he himself is incapable of firing an offensive onslaught.
These are only examples of his wind manipulation and are only meant to illustrate that he has a nigh-god-like power over it, none of these powers should be interpreted as concrete and I would like to say that I myself can utilize the power of wind manipulation however I like, while tactics themselves should not justify a higher power ranking the way I intend to use this character does and thus he is placed at a high power level for a reason.
Eye of the Thief
Due to the accident when he was six years old, Sanzo himself is naturally blind. However his father made these eye implants that simply by blinking and focusing his...well really it's an untrained and primitive level of "Ki", but Sanzo himself simply dubs it focus Sanzo gains various levels of Thermal, X-Ray, and even microscopic vision (although not necessarily all at once), since Sanzo has been on his own these eyes have prevented him from being found when his wind powers have failed him.
Although he admits (usually with a smirk) that X-Ray vision has certain uses.
Weapons: None.
Weakness: Along with only having the mental capacity of a thirteen year old boy (albeit a bright one), Sanzo has no organized fighting style (his current one is basically flailing his fists around like a fool) and he rarely takes a situation (and sees no reason to) seriously.
