Name: Michael Donaldson
Power Level: Low
Age: 15
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Clothes: Black jacket with red sleeves over a black shirt, dark khakis. Wears goggles propped up on his head.
Occupation: Digi-Destined
Personality: Though he looks like a punk and acts like a loner, he’s actually kind, though he tries to hide it behind his rough exterior. If you can get past that, he’s friendly and gentle, though a little rash when it comes to decision-making.
History: To Michael, Digimon used to just be a game, and one he was good at. He could raise any digimon on any game, handheld or console, and be unbeatable in a day’s time. So, naturally, when a virtual online version came out, he signed up as soon as he got the chance, choosing the powerhouse team as his group. There, he met Mika Suranachi, a girl who had chosen the defensive group, and suffered the first defeat he had ever experienced.
Soon after, however, while Michael sulked and Mika paraded about, a sudden earthquake struck, opening a rift right under them. Michael grabbed hold of the edge with one hand, and managed to catch Mika with the other. He couldn’t pull them up, and the dirt he held broke under his grip, but out of nowhere, a strange digimon like a fighter jet came flying through the rift, catching them in his cockpit and flying them safely out, the rift suddenly slamming shut behind them.
The digimon introduced himself as Aeromon, a Transport-type digimon. Michael stepped forward to thank him for saving their lives, but as he did so, his partner digimon assigned to him by the game phased out and disappeared.
Moments later, an ultimate-level insectoid digimon that shouldn’t have been in their area attacked. Lacking any digimon to defend himself with, Michael found himself in the line of fire until Aeromon pulled in front of the attack, taking it, himself. He ordered Michael to jump in, and they took the battle to the air, and with a few blasts of his Homing Missiles, managed to chase the digimon off, but when they landed again, Aeromon had lost too much energy in the fight and de-digivolved into his Rookie form, Ratchetmon. As Michael went to pick the unconscious digimon up, his digivice glowed suddenly, changing as it shifted to a different shape, glowing faintly as the digimon woke up.
A few days later, as they found themselves drawn deeper and deeper into a game that had suddenly become very real, Mika’s team disappeared, as well, to be replaced by another digimon that shouldn’t have existed. The further they went, the more they realized that the game no longer existed, except in tatters that still struggled to fulfill their original purpose. Everything else …
