Name: Saleith Cybele Luna/Saleith Cybele-Luna Xeiquoj
Age: 5,280
Gender: Male/Female (Saleith has no set gender, being able to switch whenever he/she feels like).
Race: Demon/Incubus-Succubus (depending on gender)
Alignment: Chaotic Good/Chaotic Evil
Power Level: 7 (depending on the power of some of his runes, it could be higher… I don’t know… some of the power of his runes have come from high-tier high characters, although, as it is said in their use, it is a one-time deal. You use it and lose it.)
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: Saleith is a red demon, with mysterious markings surrounding his body. He stands at about 7’ 5” and weighs about 17 tons. His skin is roughly the density of diamonds, allowing him to repel most normal attacks without even realizing they hit him. His pure black eyes often intimidate people, despite his caring nature. He wears a belt around his waist, which carries his runes.
His attire depends on what kind of form he has taken in his shapeshifting. It can range anywhere from mage’s robes to t-shirt and shorts… to possibly nothing at all.
Personality: Saleith is a very passive person. He prefers to avoid battle and fighting if possible. He believes fighting is meaningless and does not need to be gone through. He will try every method of persuasion to avoid the fight. He resents having to follow a leader, because oftentimes, they will try to use his powers for fighting. He only serves his current leader, because the leader promises him not to be involved in many battles, rather, he saves the lives of good people… and Xeiquoj has remained restrained.
Should Saleith start to lose his control over himself, through rage or temper or something that breaks through his natural pacifism, Xeiquoj will gradually start to take over. He is a bloodthirsty demon who will stab anyone in the back. He is not hesitant on killing, maiming, or torturing for his own pleasures. He will often beat an opponent until they’re weak enough to not be a threat, then he’ll toy around with them, torturing them slowly… occasionally he’ll leave them alive, coming back later on to do it again. His cruelty and harshness knows no bounds.
History: Saleith was born as a male into the Delsheen tribe as the spawn of the leader of the tribe, his mother. The tribe’s members were mainly peaceful inhabitants, usually involved in the pursuit of knowledge, advancing the theories on the magic which they practiced, and improving upon the arts that they often tried to impress upon the fledgling human race aboveground. These demons lived in various caves that were inaccessible to human beings at the timeperiod. It was a matriarchal society, lead by females… who often had greater magical battle potential than the males.
However, when Saleith was a young demon, barely 73 years old, the Pakshou tribe declared war on the Delsheen tribe. The Pakshou tribe was a group of harshly and heavily trained warriors, who excelled in brutal hand-to-hand combat. The battles were swift and one-sided, and most of the Delsheen tribe had fallen. The few that survived were taken as prisoners to be sold as slaves among the Pakshou tribe.
Saleith was bought by Minerva Encantado, a relatively gentle, compassionate demon in the Pakshou tribe. After a year, Minerva adopted Saleith as her own child, and sent him to academy to learn how to be a powerful warrior.
It was at this academy that Saleith’s compassionate Delsheen personality was severely tormented and beat down. Saleith was more of a magical fighter, like the rest of his tribe. His constant training in weapons and melee training yielded hardly any results. Through his hatred and anger at being constantly put down, Saleith developed his magical abilities to the point he was able to stand in battle against his classmates.
After decades upon decades of constant torment and repression, Saleith’s mental turmoil started to affect his mind. After years upon years of enduring the jeers, he started hearing a voice in his head telling him what to do. At first, Saleith dismissed the voice as simply a way to ease his stress, but as time went on, the voice continued to show a brutal, forceful personality that was not like Saleith.
It was one day at his academy, a few weeks after his 875th birthday that he realized who and what this voice was. It was a day that he was surprisingly being left alone by the other students. During one of his classes, he had fallen asleep. He heard a laughter in his head as he fell asleep, and started to have a dream of having more power than before. A dream that he was someone else in someone else’s body, and that he was destroying the dream. When he woke up, he found that he was standing up, laughing, watching the demolished school before him. He found his adoptive mother holding him from behind, crying on his shoulder, while a sword he was holding was driven straight through his stomach and into her chest.
He pulled the sword out and used his magical abilities to heal himself. The last time he heard the voice, it said, “Remember the name of Xeiquoj”.
After the incident, Saleith ran away from the tribe, afraid of the repercussions of actions he never thought his body could have ever performed. He feared that he was going to be killed for his deeds… deeds he did not remember doing. He fled out of the caves into the human world and into a dense forest, where he ran until he fainted from fatigue.
When he had woken up, he was found to be tended by a few minotaurs. He learned that while unconscious, a nearby minotaur village had found him and taken care of him. The minotaur village was ruled by a centaur, who was a special offspring chosen by the gods of the village to rule them. This offspring’s very essence, species, and even physical capabilities were magically transformed within the womb.
It was at this village that Saleith learned of who Xeiquoj was. Xeiquoj was a mistaken creation by a deity known as the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The deity had attempted to create a Spaghetti Tree in order to validate its existence, but due to a distraction it accidentally created a powerful, hateful spirit, which is what Xeiquoj was. Xeiquoj, through a powerful magical spell, was able to have his power contained, by only being able to exist if possessing another life form. A second powerful magical spell allowed the life form’s personality to dominate over Xeiquoj’s, although if the life form’s personality grew weaker and less confident, Xeiquoj would gradually influence (or even overcome) the domininant personality.
It was during one of these experiements with himself to try to rid himself that he realized he had powers besides his superhuman strength. Using his natural charm of being half succubus/incubus, he attempted to persuade any magician and enchantress to free him of the spirit within him, but none were able to heal him. He appealed to all he could, from all races that he could find, using his shapeshifting and natural charm to get anyone he could to do it. However, all have failed in removing Xeiquoj from him.
The only person who has ever been a help was a girl named Skye Seleqi who, although she could not remove the demon, cast a few sealing runes that control Xeiquoj, should he ever try to take over Saleith. Her sealing runes, as well as feather runes, healing runes, and darkness runes have oftentimes provided Saleith with powerful spells to heal and escape from a battle, should it be necessary.
In times of weakness, Xeiquoj’s influence starts to take its toll on Saleith’s personality. He starts to hear voices in his head, and sometimes his actions do not reflect what he wishes to do.
He currently is under the service of a mysterious man who is assisting him control Xeiquoj’s influence over him. He does the occasional odd deed for the employer, such as saving the lives of certain people, and trying to neutralize evildoers whenever possible.
Powers: Saleith has superhuman strength, allowing him to lift 100 tons with either arm. His strength is precise as it is powerful, and he is often able to perform delicate operations with delicate tools.
Saleith also has shapeshifting abilities. He… she… can transform into any form that it desires.
Saleith can change genders at will, although he prefers to be in the male gender (hence why his bio is mostly typed in the male pronoun).
Saleith has a natural charm on the opposite gender that he is currently inhabiting. He is often able to persuade someone of the opposite gender, though as to how or why it works, his only available argument is that he is part incubus/succubus.
Saleith also is a master of runes and magical artifacts that he learned from his family. He carries pouches around his waist of various magical runes. These are basically spells that he cast himself. Casting these runes requires no magic from himself. It is somewhat like a pre-made spell. All he does is cast the spell into a rune that he himself creates, and he has then created a one-time use rune, whose power is equal to the power of the spell he put into it earlier. These runes can also store magical abilities of anyone else. His enormous rune collection has spanned through the great warriors that he has encountered in his travels. These runes can also be equipped into his special sword for added effects (although should contrasting elements be used, they will neutralize each other). Instead of the rune having one use, the sword’s duration of the magic is determined by the power put into the rune. Oftentimes, the power can range anywhere from fifteen minutes to an hour.
Saleith is able to use those spells he puts into the runes outside of battle. However, these cost him energy to use (naturally).
Weapons: His rune sword. It can be equipped with runes to add effects to it. In design and essence, it is a simple broadsword, although it is rather large in size. It is eight feet long, although its weight depends on if he has a “feather” rune put into it. Naturally, it weighs at about 600 pounds, but with a feather rune, it can be reduced to about 60 pounds. The sword can combine energies from other magic as well. Mixing a fire rune and an energy rune allows the sword to become a blade engulfed in a raging fire, while the sword itself turns into a beam comparable to a very sharp blast of energy (Destructo Disc comes to mind). A water rune combined with a thunder rune can effectively shoot out blasts of water and electricity out of the tip, as well as make the blade itself an electrical sword.
Weakness: Saleith does not with to fight that much. He prefers to live a peaceful life. After the massacre of his family when he was younger, he tries to avoid fighting as much as possible. Because of this pacifism, he oftentimes tries to find methods to avoid conflict, even if conflict is the only solution to the problem. Saleith will rarely fight with his full potential in combat, oftentimes not using the runes, due to the fact some of them were cast by powerful (high-tier high) characters. He will often try to judge the power of the opponent and try to fight at a level equal to them, oftentimes using the battle as a way to convince the enemy that fighting is pointless.
Should Saleith turn into Xeiquoj, his fighting does not hold back. He goes all out from the start, exerting his battle skills learned in both Saleith’s body, as well as other bodies he has inhabited before. His main weakness is his all-offensive style. He often goes all out, forcing the opponent to take the defensive. Should an opponent hold him off long enough, one can find a few opportunities to strike at Xeiquoj. Since Xeiquoj does not believe in defense, he does not defend from attacks, preferring to dodge and counterattack. He also will not use the barrier runes that Saleith worked to create. He believes defense and shielding is a coward’s technique.
Also Xeiquoj has greater stamina than Saleith. Should Xeiquoj be badly injured, he can relinquish control of the body to Saleith… which can often result in fainting due to his rather weak and timid nature.
