Name: Azryth Mist
Age: Appears to be 21
Gender: Male
Species: Vampire
Timeline: Modern, available in medieval settings
Power Level: Mid-Tier Medium
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Appearance: Azryth has pale skin, brown eyes and wispy, faded blonde hair. He keeps himself fairly neat and tidy. He prefers blue and other cool colours, in opposition to "hot" colours, like red and yellow. He typically wears comfortable looking jeans and a dress shirt that is a soft, icy blue colour. He appears to be quite strong, though he's not exactly muscle bound, but that's most likely because of his thin build.
Personality: Azryth is, in his opinion, a one man show. He's typically arrogant to people unless they deserve his respect. Despite his "my way or the high way" attitude, he for some reason has no troubles with authority figures. This is probably because he feels that if they are in a position of authority, they earned it. Azryth is also terribly sarcastic, and has the bravado to laugh in the face of his enemies, even when it is not appropriate. He gets defensive and sour when people bring up his past.
History: When Azryth's world was in the medieval ages, he was human. Azryth grew up as a swordsman, driven by a constant "I'm the best" mantra. Unfortunately for him, he never really got the defeat he needed to snap him out of that mindset. He eventually started to take on bigger and bigger enemies, most times winning through sheer luck, though he was still under the belief that it was skill. It was only when he met a mage girl a few years younger than him that he met his match. The girl all but wrecked the warrior, and to make it even more humiliating, the large crowd he had been boasting to before the fight saw the whole thing. The fact that the girl kissed him on the cheek and turned him into a newt didn't help his ego much.
Once safely away from the public eye, the girl agreed to not keep Azryth as a pet, and changed him back. Azryth then managed to pick up his shattered pride and asked the girl to instruct him on the ways of magic. The girl agreed on one condition, they develop a romantic relationship, and she got to call all of the shots.
Azryth found this to be a fair deal, if not a bizarre one. And so, Azryth's training as a mage began.... and ended almost as quickly.
A few nights after this arrangement, Azryth was attacked by a vampire. The vampire was acting in retribution for the killing of a close friend, who was also vampiric. Azryth, still rattled from losing to a girl and being forced into being her "bitch", for a lack of a more proper term, tried to take the vampire out with magic. However, the only spell he had any sort of ability with, a life absorption spell, had he reverse effect on the undead, healing the target and damaging the attacker. While Azryth was trying to figure out why he was being hurt instead of his enemy, the vampire merely stared in bewilderment. The undead being eventually came to the conclusion that the man was broken down enough already. However, in a form of poetic justice, he still bit and drained some of the would-be mage before taking off into the night.
Azryth disregarded the bite, not fully realizing the implications of it. He stayed with the girl and continued training, turning a blind eye to the signs of turning and denying the thirst for blood that he was starting to have. It was during a moment of weakness when the girl had embraced Azryth lovingly that he lost control. He immediately sunk his fangs into the mage, leaving her in a frenzy and believing her to be dead.
After the mass feeding frenzy, Azryth managed to become lucid again. He managed to come to terms with his undead status, but he swore to never deal in magic ever again. He then remained in solitude, feeding when he knew he had to, all the while testing his new strengths. He remained in hiding until the present day, where he assumes many roles, sometimes as a criminal to take the provisions he needs, sometimes as a vigilante to keep his skills sharp, but most times as a wandering vampire, preying when he has to and staying alone when he doesn't.
Powers: Since Azryth has sworn himself away from magic, he only has a vampire's innate abilities. Specifically, their superb hearing, night vision, increased strength and agility. He doesn't possess the flight abilities some vampires have been known to have.
Weapons: None on him, but if he can get the proper type of sword in his hands, he's fairly well off.
Weaknesses: Holy spells, holy artifacts, sunlight, garlic and a wooden stake through the heart. All of the vamp-slaying basics. The sunlight can be avoided if Azryth applies the appropriate amount of sunblock, but he tends to be forgetful and won't use it if he feels he's "protected enough".
