Name: Vivian Slade
Age: Appears to be 19
Gender: Female
Species: Vampire
Timeline: Modern, but can exist in medieval
Power Level: Low-Tier High
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: A fairly pretty girl with curly lime green hair and similarly coloured eyes. She's used her magic to make herself not look as pale, but she still is noticeable when placed beside a living human. She likes the colour black, as well as pinks and reds. She normally wears a black miniskirt, a pink t-shirt with a black vest, along with long pink socks. While she knows that she can't wear it all the time, she always tries to find an excuse to wear her old, pointy, hot pink witch's hat. She has fangs that are a bit obvious when she smiles. Her height always seems to shift, as if she can't decide on being short or tall.
Personality: Vivian is something of a con artist, as she is fairly cunning and seems to always make a deal that always seems fair... at first glance. She's a hopeless romantic and flirt, as well as an animal lover, even when said animal is cooked and on a plate in front of her. She also has a motherly side, and folds like a card table at cute things. Vivian is also quite demanding, and when she has her heart set on something, she's almost irrepressible until she gets it.
History: During her years as a human, Vivian was the daughter of a widowed mage woman. The two were quite poor, and often Vivian's mother had to use her magic to seduce men for money. Once Vivian had reached the age of fifteen, she helped as well, despite her mother's vast reluctance to have her daughter work in the same degrading trade. This may have led to her romantic nature, as she believed that her charms would catch the perfect, rich, handsome, sweet man that would give her the money her mother and her needed. Unfortunately, she never caught any man of the sort.
It was shortly after Vivian's nineteenth birthday that she met Azryth. Vivian had decided she'd try fighting for money instead of "sleeping" for it. Azryth had arrogantly agreed to the girl's terms. The winner could do whatever they wished to the loser, for as long as they saw fit. With her magic powers, Vivian had defeated Azryth so quickly, even she felt some embarrassment. It was then that she upheld their contract, kissing the man on the cheek and turning him into a newt.
Vivian was taking her new pet home when Azryth, who still retained the ability to talk (Vivian had planned on letting him keep his voice and selling him. After all, a talking lizard would get a lot of money) begged the girl to reconsider her decision. It was only with a little reluctance that Vivian turned the man back into a human. However, it was when Azryth continued to beg, this time beseeching the girl to teach him magic, that Vivian saw a golden opportunity. After being pushed around by men for so long, and seeing her mother go through the same, Vivian decided it was time to turn the tables. She agreed to teach Azryth, but he'd have to be her lover, and she had to get the final word on absolutely everything.
Once again, the swordsman had blindly agreed to her terms, and when the two shook on the deal, Vivian immediately stole Azryth's current ability to fight back against her. When he had gained the power to defeat her in single combat, she said, he'd have his independence back.
Azryth and Vivian's "courtship" went on for only a few days. About a week and a half after their agreement, Azryth, who had been showing some strange behavior before, suddenly went into a crazed frenzy. He bit Vivian on the neck, batting her aside and leaping out of the building. Vivian had gone unconscious from a loss of blood, as Azryth, who had turned into a vampire, had fed off the girl.
Vivian and her mother managed to piece together what had happened when the witch came to. They also knew of Vivian's new, undead state. The pair of mother and daughter worked very hard, first to find a cure, and then to merely adjust. Eventually the two found advantages to Vivian's vampirism, and the girl used her new talents, as well as her old ones, to help aid her mother until she died.
While depressed that her mother was dead and she was still a young woman, Vivian persevered. She doesn't do things like steal, feed off nobles or sell her body for money anymore, as she no longer has the need to. She survived to see the modern world, and even enrolled into college (though she had to forge the proper I.D. and the sort). She really enjoys the modern world and its ways, and has adapted to it nicely.
Powers: Vampiric Power: Vivian has enhanced physical abilities, specifically agility and recovery. She has the flight ability that some vampires have been known to have. She can see in the dark, and her senses are heightened greatly.
Magic Power: Vivian has multiple spells that she can use, ranging from the minor and generic (example: she has minor shapeshifting power, able to change features like hair colour and height), to the unique.
Her spells are as follows.
Drain Life: Vivian absorbs a bit of the life force from an enemy and uses it to fix her own. This boosts energy, heals wounds and restores stamina and fatigue. Vivian can also combine this spell with others, and the general recovery rate will reflect the damage dealt.
Bloody Storm: Vivian creates sparks of magically charged electricity around her. Eventually this develops into a small lightning storm. The magically charged electricity is coloured red, hence the name.
Rusted Chain: Used during Bloody Storm, Vivian makes the electricity turn into rope/whip form, and then uses it to attack.
Crimson Blast: Used during Bloody Storm, Vivian supercharges the electricity even more and then fires it at an enemy.
Hellfire Burst: A powerful flame spell. Vivian conjures a fireball and launches it. The flames grow when in flight, and continue to grow until it strikes. At that point it explodes violently. The flames cannot be doused with normal water.
Black Rain: Vivian creates a rainstorm. While it typically doesn't do direct damage, it causes depression, and those without a strong mind may succumb to the negative emotions instantly. The victim's motivation is also affected. Bloody Storm and the spells linked to it are enhanced by this spell. (Life Drain can be used with this move, but instead of healing Vivian, it improves her mood while the victim's suffers.)
Chaos Bubble: Used during Black Rain. Large "bubbles" are created in random locations while it rains, growing to about the size of a large beach ball before bursting with water element magic and negative energy. Black Rain is immediately ended after this spell.
Petal Cyclone: A circle of pink flowers pops up around Vivian, and powerful winds then tear their petals off, sending them flying everywhere with strong, slicing winds. While at face value not particularly threatening, the petals carry strong enchantments, causing earth (or just plain plant) element damage. For some reason, this attack sometimes has strange adverse, transforming affects on the target. While they never last forever, the time span of it is indefinite. Vivian never seems to figure out why, and the results are always random and seemingly baseless. (For example, she once used it on a thug and turned him into a giant mushroom. The next time the transformation affect took place, she turned a fish demon into a puppy.)
Charm: Vivian uses this spell to make members of the opposite sex more attracted to her. It’s about as potent as an experienced succubus, not irresistible, but very difficult to turn down and ignore.
Shadow Barrier: A darkness element defensive spell. Encases Vivian in a shaded bubble that completely absorbs dark element attacks, and protects against the others. (Save for light/holy/whatnot magic, which ignores it.) Most physical blows can be weathered. Can also be used as protection from sunlight, while Vivian still prefers sunblock.
Dark Restitution: Used during Shadow Barrier. All dark element attacks that were absorbed are combined and then fired upon the enemy.
Witch's Contract: If Vivian and another individual or group of individuals reach a mutual agreement (and neither side can be under any sort of outside influence in their agreement) and shake hands (or use any sort of deal-sealing gesture) on the agreement, powerful magic is enacted that ensures the agreement is followed to a tee, even if Vivian normally doesn't have the power to uphold the agreement. (For example, Vivian cannot turn a person into a newt normally. However, when Azryth agreed for her to be able to do whatever she wished to do to him if she beat him, she was able to use that power, but only to him.) This can be used for several things, and is Vivian's favourite spell.
Weapons: Vivian typically uses her magic to create claws. These claws are actually much sharper than they look.
Weaknesses: Holy magic. While holy artifacts are actually ineffective, and she has both magic and sunblock to protect herself from sunlight, holy magic is twice as effective, as she has a magical weakness to it, as well as a racial one. Also, the Witch's Contract can be used against her, but due to the girl's due dilligance when she enacts it, doing so is almost impossible.
