Brudo
Power Level starts off at borderline 5/6, but once he begins drinking, by the middle of a fight, he’s a 6.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Gender: Male
Age: 51
Physical Description: A large white skinned, hairy man around six feet tall. A large beer belly is the first noticeable attribute of his body. Although a full beard and hairy on his entire body, there is no hair on his head. He has blue brown eyes that match his brown hair, that seem to stare off in random directions.
Clothing: Brudo wears dirty tan slacks and a stained deep brown vest. Around his waste is a strange belt colored black that seems to be of oriental descent. He wars no shirt under the vest, and he wears no shoes, thus the bottoms of his feet are incredibly dirty, with cracks and calluses up and down, he doesn’t seem to mind though.
Mental Description: Brudo is always, 100% of the time, in a drunken stupor. He sways back and forth walking or standing, cant seem to keep his mouth shut, and generally talks with a slur. Luckily, he is a very friendly drunk, and is always striving to make friends with anyone. Always laughing at jokes nobody finds funny, and offering to buy others drink or offering them some of his own ale so they can get into the spirit. During fights, he seems to laugh and talk as if it were all a game that he was not taking seriously. There are times though, when out of nowhere, he will pull out very philosophical ideas, intelligent solutions, or powerful arguments that usually mirror the situation. These usually surprise those who travel with him, as a drunkard does not come up with such thoughts most of the time. However, there have been accounts where people have traveled with him, and noticed he would not have any alcohol on him for days, and yet he seemed to still be in a drunken demeanor, perhaps the entire drunken escapade is simply a ruse to put others off guard so that he can make judgments on other people’s characters. However, he is also rumored to have a secret stash, which could be the answer.
History: Brudo’s past is currently unknown (to be added once developed) However, his recent history is not so unknown. His last great escapade was joining a band of pirates on the seas, being an excellent cook even while drunk, he was able to make his keep, and being a competent warrior made things all the easier for him on the ship. A bad deal on the captain’s part however, kept them on the run, encountering frequent battles with the slavers. However, during one such battle however, he was cast overboard. He was able to swim to land, and began his long search to reunite himself with his crew.
Combat Capabilities
Martial Arts: Brudo is heavily trained in the art of hand to hand combat, mostly focusing on the school of drunken fighting styles, that reach their maximum potential when the practitioner is drunk. Brudo is also very proficient in a fighting style very few are well versed in. Brudo has been trained to use common every day items as powerful weapons. A ladder can suddenly become a weapon to grapple with, a chair treated as a spinning club, a belt can become as effective as a pair of manacles, and a bar table as a large shield, all these become deadly weapons in Brudo’s hands. Not to mention, he always is in possession of his magical adamantine battle mug.
Weaponry
Battle Mug
Anything he can get his hands on can be considered a weapon.
Powers:
Mad Drunk Abilities- Brudo has mastered the ability to consume alcoholic substances and convert them into different kinds of energy within his body. Brudo has the ability to drink and drink and drink, without suffering any severe negativities (he is still in a drunken state, not a strong one though), but through serious drinking during battle, he can tap various powerful abilities.
MD1: Tough – While Brudo Drinks, he doesn’t feel immediate shock from pain, though bruises and such are very noticeable. Thus, he is not easy to stumble with powerful attacks, though he still suffers full damage from the attacks. This resilience also makes him immune to spells and abilities that rely on pure pain, as he simply doesn’t feel them.
MD2: Liquid Strength -- As Brudo drinks, he is able to convert his alcoholism into strength and constitution, allowing him to take more blows and fell enemies with powerful blows. However, as he does this, he goes into a more and more drunken state, although he remains barely aware of his surroundings, he is still drunk and thus easy to fool at times (though he can recover from such fooleries quickly, they can put him in a bind). It should be noted, that a single drink does not cause this, Brudo drinks through the battle, becoming stronger and stronger as the fights go on. Drinking too much though, will cause him to pass out.
MD3: Liquid healing -- Brudo seems to have the ability to convert the alcohol in his body into a powerful healing tonic, which takes immediate effect, and thus healing moderate wounds he has gained. However, doing this makes him less drunk, thus if he was at incredible strength from the alcohol, he would lose increased strength and constitution. Not to mention, he can only do this three times a day.
MD4: - Flaming breath: Sometimes as a last ditch effort, Brudo will some way, some how, convert the alcohol in his body into a flammable chemical, then proceed to spew it forth in a hose of flaming liquid in a wide arc. In a way, he almost appears to be like a modern day flamethrower, with napalm added to the mix of effectiveness. He can only do this twice a day, and it drains nearly all the alcohol in his body.
Ki Strike: Brudo’s attacks are projections of his inner soul, thus each attack in itself can be considered that of a magical nature.
Drunkards Brain: Through both mental training, and the constant use of alcohol, Brudo has become very resistant to attacks that are of a mental nature, though he is not completely immune, he ussually doesn’t notice them, or he will drown them out with alcohol. Powerful abilities however, can get beyond this defense.
Diamond Soul: Through monk training, Brudo has aquired a resistance against magical attacks. The ability for magic to affect him is in relation to his opponents power level and his own. If the opponent is of equal level and equal magical skill (as in, not a level 5 that simply knows a spell or two) then there is a 50% chance that the spell will be negated.
Weaknesses:
Poor social skills: Brudo is very uncharismatic, he smells, has terrible breath, and simply wants to drink all the time, and get others to drink with him. At times, this may be beneficial and although he is more wise than he appears, usually his first appearance is enough to turn others away from him immediately. However, if one can get past these barriers, they will find that Brudo can be a wonderful friend.
Lack of Magical attacks: While Brudo’s fist attacks and enchanted battle mug are of magical nature, this simply means they can break the defense of those who would be immune to anything but magic, otherwise, Brudo has no magical offensive or defensive capabilities.
