Name: James Rezall
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Money
Power Level: High-Tier Low, capable of reaching around mid-tier medium upon promotion
Timeline: Medieval (Fire Emblem)
FE Class: Thief (Promotes to Rogue)
Appearance: A somewhat handsome young man with long, tied back light blue hair. He's shabbily dressed in a pair of black slacks, a dark green tunic and a navy blue cloak. His hands are covered with black, fingerless gloves. He has a gold ring through his right ear. He typically wears some of the accessories he steals. He also has a large number of magic talismans and warding charms hidden here and there all over his body.
Personality: Without loyalty or a sense of duty, James merely believes in the mantra of "survival of the fittest". He's one of the few, however, that realizes that this does not indicate survival of the strongest, but rather the one that manages to use everything at their disposal to survive. His only true alliegance is to the coin, and money is the sole, driving purpose behind almost all of his actions. However, there have been extremely rare circumstances where the thief actually befriends someone, and when that happens, not even sacks full of gold will tear him away. Put simply, if you want to know if James is really your friend, put yourself in mortal peril, toss a coin in the completely opposite direction, and see which one he goes to save. He's a surprisingly good negotiator, and his ragged appearane hides a stockpile of charisma.
History: James Rezall is the son of a low to middle class tailor. Working in his father's store as a child, James quickly came to understand the influence, power, and necessity of money. He quickly set his mind on how to make more gold than just the meager wages his family was getting. When he was old enough, James took a larger role in the business, now having the chance to apply his ideas. While his plans unlocked a huge intake of money, his parents were extremely displeased, knowing that their son was squeezing every single coin out of their valued customers, as well as looting their pockets and purses at the same time. Eventually, James was disowned by his family, and was literally kicked out of the house with only the clothes on his back. It was at that time that James decided to ditch the quasi-legal slipcover he was working with, and resorted to full fledged thievery. While he makes a huge amount of money, he somehow manages to still live a life as a low class pickpocket. While the true answer to how he squanders his money is unknown, some believe he may actually donate some of it to orphanages and other needy causes.
Powers: James's primary ability is his agility. While he can be overpowered by bigger fighters, they have to catch him first. This guile lends strength to his fighting style and his other abilities. He has also mastered the skill of the sleight of hand at a young age, and can use it to flawlessly and almost unnoticably lift a person's belongings right off their body, even in the middle of combat. He's also familiar with the usage of lockpicks. Of peculiar note is his surprisingly high resistance to magic, perhaps explained by the several talismans and charms he keeps on his person at all times.
James can also promote himself from a Thief to a Rogue using one of two magic items, known as the Ocean Seal and the Fell Contract, respectively. Once a Rogue, James's agility and acrobatic prowess is enhanced to surpass human expectation. He also gets naturally stronger and can pick locks without the use of pre-made lockpicks.
Like other Fire Emblem characters, has access to the deadly "critical hit".
Weapons: A long, curved dagger. While ineffective in a lock against larger weapons, like a spear or sword, it is easily concealable and deadly, playing right into James's agile hands. He also carries a set of lockpicks that he's made in his spare time.
Weakness: Physically weak when compared to other High-Tier Low/Mid-Tier Medium characters. His weakness for money is very easy to take advantage of, just wave a bag of coins in front of his face and he's yours.
