Name: Rage Gressel
Age: Mid twenties, but no one’s really sure of that.
Gender: Male.
Race: Monster Hybrid. While both Rage’s appearance and attitude suggest a heavy demon/monster lineage, he lacks the ability to perform the usual array of black magic such as elemental spells or large summons. In fact, he possesses a hefty amount of white magic at his disposal, contradicting any rumors to him being a full demon. Rumors also say that Rage is the son of a famous local prostitute.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Power Level: High-tier Low (Low-tier Medium with the daggers and grenades)
Timeline: Steampunk
Appearance: Rage has a very pale complexion, with bright red eyes which go with his glasses. His hair goes down to his neck and has a slight curl to it. It is normally a dark blue color, but under certain conditions of the moonlight, it seems to take on a shade of purple. His left pupil also seems to mysteriously disappear during this time. He has a somewhat effeminate build, and is no taller than 5 ft 10. Rage usually wears a simple combination of red, black, or white clothing. His recent outfit consists of a leather jacket with black pants. He also wears two strange red straps that go around his shoulders and waist, forming an X on his chest and back. Very few people have seen him without a smug smirk on his face.
Personality: One might call Rage the epitome of all seven sins. Despite this fact, he manages not to do any harm to those who are innocent. He may be greedy, but does so out of his own pocket. He indulges in wrath, but only upon those who have truly wronged him. Rage often covets things that he cannot have, but never goes to the lengths to acquire it because of his sloth. So on and so forth. When speaking to him, Rage is the type of person that demands that you look into his eyes and in the end, simply tells you to go away. He has no interest in romance, politics, arts, or philosophy. Strangely enough, however, Rage has a keen interest in religion, especially the Roman Catholic faith. Quite the narcissist, he simply refuses to indulge in idle chat?that is, unless it’s with the pretty types.
History: Mr. Gressel first appeared in the town 4 years ago. When asked about his background, Rage states that he “was leaving old memories behind?and any further questions not pertaining to sex were ignored. He is often seen frequenting the red-light district. Yet strangely enough, no one has seen him “accompany?any of the regular prostitutes. On the rare occasion, Rage has been seen speaking to a young man in front of a certain motel. However, it seems to be nothing more than business deals and does not go beyond a handshake. Rage also gambles quite a bit at the local bar. He works as an underground loan shark and has been seen resorting to violence when one cheats him out of his deals. There are rumors that he sends a certain assassin when particularly angered. Rage does not usually wander around the more friendly parts of the town, except the local church…though it is doubtful that he is there for actual religious reasons.
Powers: Rage has little power in the black magic department. He is able to summon minor demons out of local wildlife, such as raccoons, at the expense of accidentally losing reign over them. The demons are strong and quick enough to deal with the average citizen, but can be easily killed with any type of magic, as they fall under the category of "undead".
However, he strangely possesses a large amount of white magic abilities. Despite the fact that he himself is disgusted with the stereotypical "purity" of white magic, he has learned ways to use the "good" magic for his own not-so-good doings.
For instance, the ability to give life to dying allies comes from the ability to jump-start the heart into pumping again, and the warming of blood using minor heating techniques. Yet if used at a strong enough force, Rage can cause minor heart-attacks that are usually non-lethal (unless applied to the elderly or young). These attacks usually have a similar effect to paralysis coupled with dizziness and high blood pressure after the assault. Keep in mind though, having a single heart attack raises the chance of having another one sometime in the future, even without combat. However, the majority are minor attacks, nothing life threatening. On the other hand, this type of technique would require an even higher energy toll than the usual white magic and is hardly used in combat.
Another example would be the misuse of the treatment of broken bones. The healing of broken bones requires the correct application of pressure and melding of bone tissue around the fracture or break. Rage, on the other hand, prefers to use the pressure in breaking even more bones. However, this requires the target to remain still enough to focus on a certain area to apply high pressure. It makes for a good surprise attack.
Despite his twisted abilities with white magic, Rage dislikes using them unless in an actual serious battle. He prefers using mechanical weapons due to the fact that they require much less energy and mind power to operate.
Equipment: Rage has a huge assortment of collectible (and most likely illegal) weapons, which include (but not limited to) dynamite, shotguns, grenades, and an absurd amount of daggers, some of which are laced with deadly poison. Obviously, he does not cart around his entire collection. He has a select few daggers and the occasional hand grenade.
Weakness: Just like any other worldly being, Rage can suffer from any physical damage. He is not particularly weak to any sort of element, other than bright light, which can be easily remedied by sunglasses. He is easily susceptible to sickness and catches a cold every month. He also falls violently ill after hard battles, leaving him open to anyone who harbors ill feelings toward him. For some bizarre reason, using white magic on himself actually has a slight detrimental effect on him. Rumor has it that Rage is more closely tied to Death rather than Life, though not to the point of being undead. Extremely hot days make him somewhat sluggish for some strange reason, probably because he normally lurks around during the freezing nights. On certain days he may have a short breath to due to his bad habit of smoking, which may hinder his fighting abilities.
Quick note: First RP profile I've done. Kagetsuki has helped me ALOT with it. I actually have a picture/sketch of Rage that I've done, but I am unsure as to whether or not to show it. Let's just say that it isn't very pretty.
Edited- Changed the Power Level.
