Name: Tate DuCleod [pronounced “Du-Cloud”]
Nickname: [none]
Age: 17
Gender: male
Nationality: American
Race: human
Alignment: chaotic good
Power Level: 2
Timeline: modern
Appearance:
Hair: The color is a dark brown, nearly black. The longest layer hangs straight down to the base of his neck in spiky strands. There is a slightly shorter layer that is less straight and a bit spikier, gelled to stick up a bit. The shortest part of his bangs stops just above his eyelids while the longest part, growing just before his ears, hangs about an inch below his jawline. It has an overall messy appearance.
Eyes: light blue-gray
Skin: Caucasian, a bit pale
Build: Tate has a fit physique, appearing to be a bit skinny because of his height-weight ratio. He does have easily visible muscles in his arms, chest, and abdomen, though they are far from huge. He doesn’t appear to have any large amounts of body fat on any part of him.
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 150 lbs
Attire: Tate’s style is that of a typical “punk” teenager. He wears a black hoodie over a plain white undershirt. On the front of his hoodie is a bright yellow radioactive symbol. He wears dark denim jeans, the knees ripped out and the back of the cuff of the leg shredded from where he walks on them. Because of how skinny he is, they appear to be huge and merely hanging on him, though the length is normal. Because of this, he has to wear a belt to keep the pants on his hips, though it is mostly hidden by his hoodie. Tate’s shoes are a pair of worn low-top Converse All-Stars.
Outstanding Features: Tate’s lip is pierced on the left side, and he often wears a pewter ring in the hole.
Personality:
Contradictory to his appearance, Tate is far from “angsty”. He is the epitome of a daredevil and is happy when there’s excitement to be found. He is not outgoing, making him, at first, seem like a loner. While he does enjoy being alone at times, he also enjoys the company of others. He can be extremely stubborn when it comes to defending his opinion. He argues with his adoptive parents more for fun rather than because of unhappiness. His adoptive mother seems to be more understanding of this and will give in without much debate while his adoptive father usually ends up obliging him in argument. Aside from arguing, he enjoys the pasttimes of a normal teenaged boy, including driving around with friends listening to blaring rock music while banging his head hard enough to throw his brain against his skull.
*Jung – Myers-Briggs: “Crafter Artisan” (ISTP)
History:
Tate, an unfortunately accidental baby, was born to a teen mother, then immediately given up for adoption. He was adopted for the first time at two years old. Because his strong introverted personality had already begun to show at that age, his parental situation only worsening matters, the boy hardly ever spoke. After a year had gone by and Tate had hardly ever spoken to them or anyone his age, the adoptive parents assumed him to be retarded or slow to develop, giving him back to the adoption agency before his fourth birthday. He was adopted again at five, and then nine, each time being the same story. When he was adopted at ten, however, he made an effort to open up to his new parents, who were extremely sympathetic of his situation. Tate is still with this family. He has grown very fond of his adopted mother, a sweet middle-aged woman, and has even come to respect his adopted father, though it has taken nearly the whole seven years. He has since made more of an effort in school, also gaining a large circle of friends.
Powers:
Tate has no special powers. He does, however, have a knack for winning fights with the combat skills he learned off the streets, being quite strong for such a scrawny-looking teenager. He is not affiliated with a gang, but he has gotten into his fair share of squabbles and is known as a troublemaker by his teachers. All he knows is hand-to-hand combat, using no specific style of martial arts.
Equipment:
[none ]
Weakness:
The weaknesses of an average human. He is also quick to anger, his hot-headedness often getting him into trouble.
