Name: Michael Dike
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Lawful Good
Power Level: Mid-tier Medium (5)
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: He was a football player in high school, so he's got a respectable build. He doesn't play in college, but he still stays fit and active. He stands about 6'1 with blonde hair, pale eyes and tan skin from his outdoor activities. Not a lot of body hair. He typically wears jeans and a branded t-shirt of some sort for casual wear. When he's actively expecting combat, he has kevlar body armor over a black spandex jump suit.
Personality: He believes in Justice, even if he has to bring it about, himself. Call him a vigilante, call him a maniac, call him whatever, but you can never call him unfair. Whatever he does, however, and despite what he knows, he only sees himself as an average Joe Doe.
History: Once upon a time, Marissa, Goddess of Justice, came to the conclusion that the pantheon was imperfect, and thus it was unjust that they rule over the cosmos with impunity. Despite her Sisters' pleadings, she stepped down from the pantheon and assumed the role of a human. Not wanting to be unfair in her selection of a mortal form, she found a couple that greatly desired a child, made it so and took the form of their child, who, through the wonder of random genetic compilation, was born nine months later a bouncing baby boy.
Marissa did not give up her consciousness, and thus, as Michael, the boy grew up knowing precisely who and what he was, but he led a normal life, anyway, completely lacking in the supernatural, and neither did he ever use his (far lessened) divine powers, as he could not be completely rid of them, to give him an unfair advantage. What he worked for and what he achieved, he did so upon his own merit and hard work. It was a fulfilling life.
He did not shun the remaining Seven Goddesses, and they visited him regularly as he reached an age where their visits wouldn't stick out so much or rely on his mortal parents' approval, often showing up as students at his college. It was during one stint where they were helping with a carnival that an evil genius contrived a way to capture the remaining Seven Goddesses and draw out the Eighth Goddess, which he believed to be in hiding.
The villain successfully captured the seven goddesses after an attack that caused the carnival to be wrecked as a diversion and began siphoning their divine energies to power his ultimate invention. Michael couldn't leave his Sisters in danger so, for the first time in two and a half decades, he tossed aside his normal life. In the quest that followed, he refined what powers he had access to in his mortal form and, using them alongside some good ol' human firepower, freed the Seven Goddesses from their seals and put an end to the villain's plans.
Now, he stands upon the cusps of a new turn in his life. Though he will eventually come to the decision to return to the pantheon to help make sure such an event does not repeat itself, he has yet to do so, and is perhaps making sure he has nothing else he needs to do before then.
Powers:
Goddess Powers -
Lock-On: By expending a negligible amount of divine energy, he can increase his accuracy to supernatural levels. This does not affect the bullets, only his aim. If something would interfere with the bullets' trajectory, it still does so.
Cognition: By expending a negligible amount of divine energy, he can draw out knowledge from closed books and even computer terminals to find what he needs. This does not work if the book or computer doesn't actually have the data. For instance, if he puts his hand on a book on a bookshelf, he only scans the data in that book, not any of the others. Similarly, just because a computer has an internet connection doesn't mean he can just scan all the computers on the net.
Ammunition Generation: If his guns are out of bullets, he can spontaneously regenerate them one bullet at a time. Basically, after his clip is empty, every shot takes energy from him to form, instead. This doesn't interrupt the gun's rate of fire, but the faster the bullets go, the faster his energy is used. The more powerful the bullet, the more energy is used to generate it. A grenade round, for instance, would require far more than a .45mm bullet.
Divine Strength: By reinforcing his mortal body with divine energies, he can increase the amount he can lift and damage he can deal in melee combat. The more he tries to accomplish, the more energy is required, and it's a steady drain so long as it's active.
Divine Speed: The same as Divine Strength, except applying to speed.
Divine Healing: The same as Divine Strength and Divine Speed, but applying to regeneration.
Divine Wrath: As particularly difficult battles progress, and he gets hit more and more, his hold on his temper gets thinner and thinner. When he reaches a breaking point, he can unleash all of his divine energy to release a blast of energy in a radius out from him. (Think Chaos Blast from Shadow the Hedgehog)
Divine Burst: A significantly weaker version of Divine Wrath, directed at a single target. Treat it like any other energy blast from a mid-tier medium. This isn't an actual technique as a generic energy discharge. He really only uses it when he can't use his guns to hit something. It has slight homing ability, allowing it to round corners for "trick shots."
Equipment:
Steyr TMP Machine Pistols x2
Caliber: 9x19mm Luger/Parabellum
Weight: 1,3 kg empty
Length: 282 mm
Rate of fire: 800-900 rounds per minute
Magazine capacity: 30 rounds
XM8 Lightweight Assault Rifle
Caliber: 5.56x45 mm NATO
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Overall length: 838 mm in basic configuration, butt extended
Barrel length: 318 mm in basic configuration; also 229 mm in Compact and 508 mm in Sharpshooter and SAW versions
Weight: 2.659 kg empty in basic configuration
Rate of fire: ~ 750 rounds per minute
Magazine capacity: 30 rounds (STANAG) or 100-rounds double drum in Automatic Rifle/SAW role
Weakness: His divine energies are limited by his mortal form. He can only access so much at once. When he exhausts it, he has to wait for it to recover. Without his divine energy to augment himself and his accuracy, he's only mid-tier low.
