No need to worry, I won't be starting this up right away. I just wanted to run this by everyone and see what they all think of it.
So, anyway, there's always two parts involved in whether you win or lose a fight, regardless of whether it's in a tournament or in a regular RP. These are the abilities of the character and the strategies of the player behind the character. Obviously, the two are interrelated, as the one who made the character usually has an edge. They are intimately familiar with the character and how it functions, often understanding many strategies that the moves were designed around that aren't too obvious.
I thought it might be fun, however, to stir things up, so in this tournament, you enter your character, but you won't play it. In fact, you won't know who will play it, but it definitely won't be you. Once characters are in, who plays who will be selected at random. If it comes up with you getting your own character, however, it will be reselected. The person who gets your character still has to keep that character in-character and can't use abilities or knowledge that character doesn't have.
For instance, if I entered Star, Kainus entered Airoar, Toriji entered Toriji and AoD entered Carrie, I might end up with Toriji, Kainus with Carrie, Toriji with Star and AoD with Airoar. We would then fight with whichever characters we ended up with. If you're worried about your character being taken out of context, don't, it's all AU.
So, what do you all think? Interested?

Sounds mildly interesting. Didn't you have an idea like this before?
Any who, what will the power level be?

I'd probably leave out low, since the recent tournaments have shown that we really don't have a lot of competitors for that level. Depending on who is interested, it will either be High or Medium. It all depends on what kind of characters they have.

(yay I was an example)
Sounds really good to me, I've always been a fan of the out-of-the-ordinary.

I like the idea, but you know my reservations against other people using my characters.... Meh, if it's opened, I'd join it, I'm sure problems in the past that I've had when people used my characters probably won't come up, I'm just a bit... iffy on it, though.

I can't wait to see who I get and how others play my characters. Make sure you add humon with Kopa and Shoka, or you will be eaten. . .

I'd probably only ask you to enter only one.

I'm DEFINITELY in. Problem is, I don't know who I should put in. I may have to just pull out good ol' Flame and hope Ninmast gets him (lol, wouldn't be the first time Ninmast had Flame for an RP).
Then again, I haven't used Flame in an RP in forever and someone who doesn't know him won't know how he goes.
... then again, my current list of registered characters is quite pitiful, and half of them aren't completed (I can't come up with character histories for the life of me).

Sounds like a good chance to see how someone else takes the Epic Brilshaden's arsenal and just watch flailing things happen.

So far, it seems we've got a lot of interest, but it sounds like we're leaning toward the High power level. Is that right?

I don't mind either way. High or medium's fine with me. I prefer high though.

I'd think both would be best
I'd want to enter Kita & Kabari if you'll allow that sort of thing. they're kinda like Soka and Kopa

High power level sounds good. It'll let me see how others use Selasther.

Sounds like High-powered it is. Sorry, Toriji, guess that means the Wonder Siblings are out.
