"Oh-hoh, cranky, aren't we?" Maezir said cheekily as he got back up. "Careful there, wouldn't want your cramps to get in the way of your fighting, now would we?" The general poised himself to strike again.
*Elsewhere*
Upon the ashen remains of Buckingham Palace, a stronghold was being constructed. This process was being expedited through the use of psionic soldiers, who would frequently take parts of the wreckage and reworking them as part of the new building.

*Rangers*
"Chris," the black ranger answered.
The pink ranger stepped around him, wrist crossbow raised and already glowing. "Tornado Strike!" The unleashed wind magic and energy bolt combination bore down on the general with impressive force only found in a ranger finisher.
*Elsewhere*
Through the already reconstructed portions, an odd sight passed. It was two men, one the knight that had conversed with Karen on the rooftop, the other a teenager, African-American and built noticeably large, a trait his black wife-beater shirt only accented. They ignored the fact that they might not be welcome, as if the world was theirs to tread.

*Rangers*
Maezir grinned as he braced himself for the impact. The energy bolts definitely seemed to strike, hammering down on the general and sending him back. The wind, however, did nothing. In fact, if it was doing anything, it was getting in the way, cushioning the general from the full brunt of the energy.
"Na-ah-ah!" He said cheekily, wagging his finger in a solcding motion. "Not quite good enough."
With that, the general forced a palm forward, sending out hurricane class winds to sweep the rangers away. "THIS is how it's done PROPERLY!"
*Elsewhere*
It was in no time at all that the pair were answered with an impressive force of gaurds. Each man approached the duo with weapons raised. "What the hell are you two doing here?" One of the bolder soldiers asked.

*Rangers*
Jesse stepped forward again and brought his hammer down, causing an earthen wall to leap up in front of them and intercept the hurricane blast.
Meanwhile, the red ranger took to the air, the wind current only bringing him higher as fire rushed up the length of his sword. "FIRE SLASH!!!"
*Palace*
"Step aside, peons," the dark knight told the soldiers, his hand closing with no rush about the hilt of his sword. "Your leader will wish to see us, especially after what will happen to you if you don't."

*Rangers*
The General, however, wasn't loafing around waiting to get hit. He had launched into the air as well to intercept the Red Ranger, bringing a fist shining with fighting energy back and attempting to ram it into his gut before the Finisher could be used.
*Palace*
"No, I don't think that's going to happen." The same gaurd said. As if on cue, all of the gaurds opened fire on the pair.

*Rangers*
But the wind the ranger had rode from the blast against the earthen wall sent him up further than it would have, and he was just slightly out of reach of the punch, the motion falling just short as he brought the sword down.
At the same time, Jason and Joe were coming up with similarly charged attacks from their staves from below and behind and below and in front of him. They were not close enough to clash with each other if he attempted to get away, but given their nature, trying to twist in midair would not get him out of the danger zone. It would only avoid a direct hit from their weapons.
*Palace*
"Very well, mortal fools," Calignus answered as he stepped forward, drawing his blade only slightly so that the light gleamed off the metal blade. "View the light as it fades to nothing!" The bright glimmer that reflected off the slightest sliver of blade seemed brighter than anything else, and in the process, everything else seemed to go dark, dimmed out by comparison until only the small glimmer of light, bright as a shining star, remained.
And then that, too, was extinguished as he snapped his blade back in, but he was standing on the completely opposite side of the guards as the sharp contrast faded, and behind him, all of the guards collapsed upon themselves, each suffering fatal slashes from the weapon that had never seemed to have been fully drawn.
Behind him, Jeff moved to step over the bodies and follow him with a grin. "Sweet. When are you going to teach me that one?"
Calignus smirked as he led his charge further into the palace, resuming his casual stroll. "When your understanding of darkness is so complete, you realize that it and light are one and the same."
